Not the full Emeril's menu I was expecting, but this is not Emeril's. Expectations were high based on past experience at the Emeril's on Tchoupitoulas St. that's currently under reconstruction. Staff were excellent - just missed the Emeril's menu and the dining at kitchen bar experience (I had reserved kitchen bar seats, but on arrival was told they weren't available that evening).

Merils is our favorite!! Great food and atmosphere perfect! The chicken and sausage gumbo is the best I've had in NOLA this weekend! Corn and Brussels sprouts always my favorite!!

Meril was a great experience from beginning to end. We have always loved their flagship restaurant, Emeril’s, but it is closed for renovation. Meril exceeded our expectations in service, food & ambience. We will definitely be back.

We arrived for our reservation for four people about 10 minutes early and I was told that they were running on time for the reservations. I was fine with waiting, but I was disappointed when three groups of people without a reservation that arrived after us and were seated before us at four top tables. When we were seated, the table we received was next to an area that can be separated by a curtain for large groups. There was a large group that came in after we were seated, and the curtain was closed. The group was extremely loud which did not make for an enjoyable dining experience. It took a while for our server to come take our order which put our orders behind the large group that came in. I have had good experiences here before, but this experience was not good.

We love Meril so much. The service is always amazing and the food is delicious too. We went during lunch so it was not nearly as loud as dinner usually is. My only observation would be different seating. I feel like it takes away from the vibe of the restaurant. But that’s just my opinion. Other than that, I can’t wait to come back and try more things!

Would have liked it a lot more, but we could not hold a conversation because it was so loud. Screaming people, hard surfaces bouncing sound from everywhere. Our wait staff was very friendly, although they did forget an entrée salad.

The food was uh-mazing. We had deviled eggs, crispy Korean chicken wings (spicy and messy, but they provided hot towels to wipe your hands), and meatballs as appetizers. Uhh yum! Double cheeseburger and fried chicken salad were off-the-chart good. And dessert? Forget about it! We took it to-go and it was incredible. The only bummer? Emeril was not there to say, "BAM!"

Arrived early but we were seated right away. Food was delicious and waitstaff efficient. We are from out of town and needed a taxi to get back to our hotel. The Maitre'd was glad to help. Dennis

The food was amazing! Try the upside down pineapple cornbread with bacon marmalade. Service was superb. We were seated immediately at our reservation time. Will be going back! My only complaint was the $15 half glass of strawberry mango lushie. It was good, but not $15 good. I would skip that part.

Usually love taking out-of-town guests to Meril, but this must have been a real off night for them. Service was soooo slow. Food quality was still good, but we shouldn't have to wait 90 minutes for entrees. Or have to walk around the restaurant just to find our missing server.

We had some trouble getting the right drink order and then one of our food items never came. The waiter didn't pick up on the fact that the middle course never came and then our final course came so we just let it go. Food was good but not enough to overcome the so so experience. The menu also was a wide variety which was a bit weird when trying to figure out what to order with each course and have a cohesive progression.

Food is outrageous. The wings and poke nachos were the best. Service was very lackluster. We were there for our anniversary and we barely saw our server. No one said anything about it even though I noted in the reservation. Everyone around us got a celebration dessert and we did not. We will always come back when in Nola but it just wasn’t what we were looking forward to this time.

Loved sitting at the counter watching the chef.... server was outstanding cornbread was the most delicious thing I've ever eaten. Noise level was a bit too much, very loud but we had a wonderful time
