Loved this restaurant! Usually do not eat outdoors but it was just fine. Only problem was a loud- speaking group seated at the next table. I am glad Zi experienced it!

Everything was fairly standard and okay. Mojito tasted a little 'off.' Dinner portions fairly small. Profiterole for dessert....didn't have ice cream inside and covered with thick goopy chocolate poured out of a Hershey chocolate can? Our son liked his entrée.

On my own for the day, I had a lovely brunch on the Mezè patio in perfect weather. The Eggs Meze on smoked salmon were perfectly cooked. And the wait staff and management were friendly and welcoming, as always. One of the best spots in Adams Morgan.

A few friends and I went to Mezè on a beautiful DC evening to celebrate a special event. The engaging manager Mahir welcomed us and got us settled. We sat at a table on the cusp between the lovely patio and the cozy interior. The lively but unobtrusive pop music washed over us, transporting us to Istanbul. Hasan, elegant and also warm, recommended some dishes accommodating vegetarians and carnivores alike. A couple of us had Mezè’s signature mojitos while I had a fine Turkish white wine. A highlight of the evening was the selection of well presented and fresh cheeses, a hit with all. Among the fine items we ordered were mucver, quinoa köfte, and a simple bronzino. Throughout, Hasan stopped by to make sure that we were happy with our orders, which we certainly were. Hasan’s attention to detail and guests was outstanding, something that is too rare in the DC food scene. Finally we had a flavorful kunefe with complimentary port, a fine combination. Our party had a marvelous time. Thank you, Mezè!

We met friends from the suburbs at Mezze. All of us thought the food was great. Service was friendly without being cloying. The server answered our questions about the menu & provided helpful advice. We sat outdoors in the covered area, which we appreciated. All in all — a fun, tasty experience.

I'd been to Meze for drinks after work with friends a few times which was always super fun. Bottomless brunch didn't disappoint - the mimosas were great and the food was amazing! We were all surprised to learn that some things were vegetarian/vegan, we couldn't tell for a few. Very fun spot, can't wait to go back! :)

Fantastic spot for dinner. We both ordered the veal and lamb dish, as well as the Atom dip. The dip was very spicy, but it was delicious. The entree was delicious. The drinks - stunning. And we splurged and got the puff pastry dessert, and to no one’s surprise - delicious. Overall a wonderful dining experience with exemplar food.

Once again, Hasan and the Mezè team provided an outstanding dining experience for my small party. My guests ordered the special prix fixe menu and I chose the tried-and-true vegetarian mozzarella and beet salad. There was more than enough luscious food to go around, and Hasan was as always so friendly and meticulous. Enlivening Turkish music wafted around the diners, contributing to a warm and welcoming atmosphere. What a place!

Cousin reunion ; we had reserved outside due to covid safety but because it was cold and windy so server suggested coming inside to the top level because it was totally empty. Truly appreciated the accommodation, to keep us warm and also safe. Food came out warm, quickly, and was all delicious.

My husband and I had a remarkably relaxed time at Mezè on Tuesday night. There was a mix of chill Turkish and Spanish music in the background, a fine accompaniment to the light mezè we shared. The dolma and mozzarella + beet salad were ultra fresh. As always, Hasan served meticulously and with a smile. As more diners arrived, they seemed to settle happily into the Mezè vibe. A delightful, cozy indoor picnic on a cold and windy DC night.

Mezè is my home away from home in Adams-Morgan. In fact, I live three blocks away and spend a lot of time in this jewel of a restaurant. It made quite an impression on me when, in the aftermath of the Turkish and Syrian earthquake disaster, Mezè became a meeting point for the community. People came here to feel comfort and warmth, and it was a moving experience. Suleiman, the owner, donated three days’ revenue to support survivors, a wonderful humanitarian effort. This generosity is just one manifestation of what makes Mezè special, which is of course based on the exceptional food, service, ambience and warmth. I love it there.

During Christmas week I took three groups of out-of-town friends to Mezè. Each time, folks enjoyed themselves immensely. The food. The service. The ambience. I always order vegetarian dishes but my friends assure me that the meat dishes are quite tasty. Mezè is a winner!

I went with some friends to Meze for a quiet dinner. It was just before Christmas and the atmosphere was festive and happy. My friends have heard me talk about Meze for a long time as it’s one of my favorite restaurants in the city. We had a wonderful evening with fine Turkish wine, a variety of vegetarian and meat dishes, all followed up by their delicious kunefe dessert. Can and Mahir are thoughtful hosts. This wonderful evening was in stark contrast to my dinner at another restaurant in the neighborhood the night before. Whenever I compare Meze with another restaurant, the other one comes up short. Thank you, Meze!

Meet with our Nephew who was in town on their Honeymoon. They wanted to try a Turkish restaurant we found Meze. It is an absolute gem . The service was fantastic, the waiter made great suggestions. Booked for Sunday Brunch. Great food, fabulous service and very welcoming ambiance. The staff were attentive without being overbearing - refilling glasses and coffee. We had Kofta Benedict. Donar Eggs, Meze Benedict and Bosporus breakfast, and all were hot (temperature) and delicious. Would highly recommend :)

I live in Adams Morgan and invited a few friends from out of town to Mezè for dinner. It’s my favorite restaurant in DC. Everyone settled in for an evening of conviviality, hospitality, and fine dining. My guests were thrilled to be treated to a steady stream of dishes that were part of the flexible prix fixe. Our gracious server Hasan made sure that each of us had dishes that met our dietary needs—with two vegetarians, an omnivore, and a friend who required gluten-free. Our meal was rounded out with the steady flow of a friendly prosecco that matched our bubbly moods. It was a marvelous evening under the stars. Thank you, Mezè!
