We have been dining at this restaurant for 10 plus years. This is the first time we had a very poor service experience. The food was good but Alek our waiter was usually paying more attention to the bar than our table. He rarely checked our meal, drinks etc and asked for a tip when the bill presented. Disappointing

We made our reservation through open table. When we arrived they said we did not have a reservation even though I showed them on open table. They had no table for us and turned us away. Very disappointing.

We had a wonderful dinner at Mi Cocina on a busy Thursday night (art walk). The atmosphere, live music and excellent service made it a magical, unforgettable evening. Best to make reservations way in advance. The custom cocktails were excellent. The fresh catch (sea bass) was the best thing we ate...the octopus appetizer was not very good, perhaps overcooked? The chiles rellenos was very good, but my husband was wishing he'd ordered the fish and helped me finish my dinner. The key lime pie was perfect, not too sweet, not too tart, but just right! We ate every bite.

So happy to once again return to Mi Cocina. Wonderful menu, delicious food, attentive service. Started with the Queso Fundido, Tuna Tstaki, jumbo Shrimp, Argentine Flank Stesk and Catch of the Day. Portions were generous and everyone loved their food. Mi Cocina never disappoints! Can’t wait to return!

Fantastic apps and mole chicken, the ambience is great and not noisy despite being right next to a busy square, and the service is great. Would 100/100 recommend.

We love Mi Cocina! The food, drinks, service and atmosphere is exceptional. We spend a month in San José del Cabo every year and visit Mi Cocina at least 2 times per year.

It was a lovely space with nice live music playing. The food was good albeit a bit pricey. My husband had the ribeye tacos and I had the tortilla soup and the chile relleno. What really ruined the experience for us was the poor service. Our waiter forgot to put in our order, so we had to wait a very long time. Later, he forgot our dessert, again leading to a wait. He did not come by the table very often. He seemed to be hitting it off with another table so he spent most of his time with them, paying little attention to us.

Beautiful setting, excellent service, and fabulous food! Came back a second time. Especially enjoyed the spicy mango martini, the flank steak, the risotto, and the key line pie. A special retreat!
