   The worst presented prawn cocktail I had ever. Two wilted leaves and a dollop of prawns. I wish there was more love in the food.

   Ordered a pint of orange and lemonade was served a half pint. Ordered a mixed grill. Steak was lukewarm , gammon was overcooked. My partner had steak which she said was excellent. Food was average staff were very friendly which was great

   The food really let them down which was a real shame. Sunday roast meat was chewy and hard and they couldn't get the steak cooked properly for my husband who asked for medium well. Both times the steak came back well done and dry. I won't be trying this place again for steak and grill!

   Food was very good service was quite poor very slow different waiter everytime wrong food nearly delivered to quite a few tables plus mine. Told waitress that the main meal was not what I had ordered plus was still eaten our starter when she came with wrong main.

    We had eaten here before for a Sunday lunch which was excellent so we thought that we'd try again for an anniversary meal. Got to say that it was even better than before. Food was superb, good portions and hot which seems obvious but so often nowadays restaurants serve food that is not hot enough and by the time you're half way through, it's getting cold. Service was excellent too so all in all, superb and it has risen to the top of our list of restaurants to go to when the need arises.

    We had a great evening, it was a Sunday so I suppose it was quieter than a fri or Saturday. Regardless the food was great, service was also. The waitress was incredibly patient with us as we were just chatting and hadn't even looks at the menu 4 times she came

    We always enjoy Middleton although I booked for 5 and a high chair and the person who served us seemed surprised as they obviously not read the comments but requesting a highchair. it was a struggle for my son and girlfriend to get the pushchair to somewhere it wasn’t in the way. But the service was good and the food was lovely.

    Have been to Middletons a number of times and have enjoyed the food and service. But on this occasion v poor service as was quality of food. Waited an age to order drinks - I had to ask in the end as we didn't have all evening. Took them 40 mins to finally locate the bottle of white wine we had ordered - which was then brought to the table at room temp (the wine had clearly not been chilled). were given a wine bucket but with no ice so then needed to ask again. The ribeye steak i ordered was rare instead of medium rare - and just not well cooked . Really disappointed . Today more than ever restaurants need to differentiate themselves with exceptional service and this was the opposite.

    Sunday lunch was delicious - tasty beef, huge Yorkshire puddings and plenty of tasty vegetables. The vegetables were cooked to perfection, not soft and tasteless, which you often get when cooked in large quantities. I would definitely return.

    Overall the service was good however a little slow on the drinks. Food was great as always. We sat upstairs and we had to ask for them to turn the heating up, as it was a little uncomfortable. We have no problems paying tips, but when they apply a 'optional' service charge to your bill without saying anything comes across a bit rude.

    The service was too slow, we had to wait more than 20 minutes for the starters and same for the mains and the desserts. It was noisy and it was cold. The food very normal, nothing special

    All the food was cooked perfectly Unfortunately the dishes ordered were not those that were ordered my mixed grill had the wrong sausage, as did two others. On top of that someone ordered the Middletons grill and the chicken was left off. I ordered French fries and onion rings but only got the onion rings. Would these issues put me off going again - definitely not. As I said at the start. The food was perfect. Anyone can slip up when taking an order especially when there is a large group

    We went as a table of 5. The service was very good and the waiters are very tentative. The thing that let it down was how tatty the restaurant is. It’s the old Cafe Rouge and I don’t think since Middletons have taken over it’s been decorated. Paint work chipped on very worn on the woodwork. Could be a lovely place but really needs some money spending on it.

    Sadly our visit which was our third was not as good as previously. We do not agree with the 10% mandatory service charge as previously had always left a generous tip. The whole restaurant seemed in a bit of a muddle although the food was good. Robert Bridges.

    The wait to be served for drinks was around 20 mins. Then nearly a further hour to get our food. Even when that came out the food wasn’t warm enough. Since having to wait so long we didn’t want to send it back for a further wait for the food. Staff members clearly not sure which tables food was for which table, as numerous people had food taken to their table that wasn’t theirs. Very disappointed and won’t be returning again.

    Waited for 2 hours for the food and when it arrived my fillet (rare) was so dry I couldn’t even attempt to eat it ! Most tables were complaining about all sorts - not a great experience & left at 10pm without even eating ! And then all the restaurants near by had stopped serving that late ! First visit & definitely will not be returning.

    We went for a girlie bottomless brunch on a Saturday. Initially the service was fast and we got our first two drinks and food quickly. Then it must have got busier as the next drink took a while to arrive. We told the staff and they allowed us to order another couple of drinks. We had our meal and 6 drinks in total and went slightly over our 2 hour time slot as the service slowed down. All in all still excellent value.

    Food ok but burgers were cold. Not enough staff for the about of people. Service really bad. Had to wait 45 minutes for 1st drink order. Food was not ordered so we had to wait for sides. No glasses or cutlery Dont bother with this restaurant

    The food was delicious and piping hot. The cocktails I'm not convinced contained any gin what so ever, as lovely as they were. We drank 12 between us and I know had I of done that at my local Middletons I would have definitely felt the effects. The 'optional service charge' that is automatically added to the bill is out right robbery! I would happily of paid that had I been asked if I would have liked it added , but you assuming I would pay it got my back up. I don't get paid additional for just doing my job I'm already paid to do. So I had it removed but then was left for ages because no one could sort the bill. The older chap who we assumed must be the manager went to eat his burger on break and the place went to pot! Such a shame , we were questioned by diner outside too if we would recommend !

    Honestly, extremely disappointed. I appreciate it was busy but from bottomless brunch there was no staff to seat us when we had a timed slot, and service was extremely slow. Our “bottomless” drinks were half full and only had a total of 3 drinks each in 2 hours. Not worth £32 for one meal and 3 drinks. I could have got that cheaper else where. The window was smashed where we were sat and it took an age to get someone’s attention to the point we had to go to the bar to get our bill because they were severely understaffed for such a busy night. In future I would really recommend a separate area for the bottomless brunch to the other meals because the staff didn’t know who was who. Booking was pretty pointless because even though we had booked over a week previous to our meal, they still had to search for a table to “see if they had one available”. Booking is literally made for the guarantee of a table. They should have had a table set and ready. We were excited for this meal and even though the food was very nice the overall experience was unacceptable. Wetherspoons does better

    We came for bottomless brunch for my 25th and Agata was an absolute star. She was on top of the cocktail refills and looked after us really well. We ended up staying for well over 3 hours and got fantastic value for what we paid. Would definitely go here for brunch or a meal out again!
