One of the staff seemed new and didn't manage to get coffee and milk (mooo! ) to the table at the same time, but everything else was excellent. We particularly appreciated a place quiet enough for good conversation. Will definitely return, and this would be a good place to entertain guests.
Have the porterhouse. Also recommend the cheesecake!
Did not receive upscale service. Waited to be seated, food options limited. Although we expressed concern there was no follow up. Hostess was rude. Server was more attentive.
We had such a lovely time , the restaurant accommodated us for the table we wanted. Moo ha always been one of our favorite restaurants , we will certainly return soon .
Father’s Day brunch was excellent. Food was great. Waitstaff were attentive. Table was private. Perfect!
Food was amazing! Only dim spot was my husband ordered a dessert coffee and the whip came out on the side.. our waiter was kind enough to own up to the fact that it should not have been served that way. Everything else was quite exquisite. :)
The food and service were amazing! We loved everything we ordered, from the appetizers to dessert. We wish we could’ve had more stomach space to eat everything from the menu! We will definitely be back. While it is not a cheap place, it is worth every penny you spend.
The steaks were very tender, well seasoned, and cooked as ordered (medium-rare). For appetizer, we got the meatballs (cut through them like butter) and the wagyu dumplings (recommended for good reason). Along with the steaks - Australian ribeye and Omaha sirloin - we got the side flight that included creamed spinach, whipped potatoes, baby bello mushrooms, and truffle-parmesan fries.
The only con was that it was a little hard to hear the waiter, but that could have been due to one of the parties a few tables away being quite loud.
Had a reservation @6pm on an obviously slow night While I was outside parking my car, my family was sat next to kitchen doors and server side of bar. Didn't want to object, despite only five occupied tables, as it was a celebration dinner, but I had specifically requested a table in a quieter corner when the restaurant called me to confirm the "confirmed" reservation via Open Table. Then hostess proceeded to seat all the "better" tables in our waiters section, causing our server to lose the timing of his attention to our table. Food was very good, just insist on their best available table when you arrive.
Exceeded my expectations! Delicious, every bite! Waitress and staff very tidy, kind, paid attention to details, very friendly and professional.
Had the best meal! They printed out custom happy birthday menus for my boyfriends birthday dinner. Got a ton of food for a reasonable price. Will definitely go back.
Great food and a convivial room. Decor is fine. Service very attentive. Had a killer chicken BLT sandwich on amazing grilled sourdough bread. YUM!
As usual, you are treated like royalty here. Careful attention is given to meet your complete satisfaction. Had a little issue with one of the appetizers but was immediately replaced by the top appetizer on the list as an apology, without us requesting it be replaced. The Porterhouse steak, the Australian Prime Rib, and the Prime Sirloin were all very tasty and cooked to perfection. The ambiance in this restaurant is very pleasing and cozy. Would definitely recommend a visit to this Boston "unique" steakhouse.
Service was fantastic and they acknowledged that it was our anniversary which was nice. We split an appetizer and they brought it out on two plates so we didn't have to reach across the table. I was disappointed with my steak. I ordered a 65 day aged sirloin cooked medium and there was not one bit of pink in it. They offered to bring me another one but I abhor wasting food so I declined. It still tasted good but was not the way I ordered it. My wife's Filet Mignon was cooked to perfection. The rest of the food was perfect as well as the wine. Mooo removed the charge for the desserts to make up for the over cooked steak. Nelson was a great server and we would try Mooo again.
Superb service, wine selection and of course superb cuisine. Best dry aged rib eye!
Phenomenal food and amazing service! Would recommend to anyone thinking about experiencing it!
Everything was spectacular!
Best steak in Boston hands down
Would go there for any special steak ocasión
Excellent dinner with family. Service was extraordinary. Meat dishes were done perfectly. And although it does specialize in steak, it would be nice to have one or two excellent vegetarian dishes. Made due with sides for vegetarian. And the mushroom couscous side was over salted. But that is our only quibble. We will be back. Superb dining experience.
Our waiter Ken was extremely nice and knowledgeable about the menu. The wagyu beef dumplings were so delicious. Overall, absolutely amazing experience!
The food was delicious! Can’t wait to go back.
Moo has now become my favorite steakhouse in Boston! The service was excellent, and our meals cooked to perfection!
Great place to get breakfast at lunch time. Service was excellent . A little noisy for me due to my hearing aids. Scrambled eggs, pancakes, bacon, French toast, and spinach omelette were all done to perfection. The potatoes that came with the omelette and scrambled eggs were delicious. Coffee was very good. The free miniature bran (?) muffins with butter were also very tasty.
Both manager and waiter inquired about the steaks being cooked correctly, my dinner partner and I both said they were. Unfortunately it was only the side I started on that was cooked correctly, the other side near the end was so raw it was inedable. Also; for a $50 steak it was kind of tough and grisly. Wish we had gone to Ruth Chris’s instead. :(
Very Good!!!!! Best steak in Boston!!!! Great Service.
Moo is one of the better high-end steak restaurants in the Boston area. The room is large and fairly elegant, but the lighting is so dim it’s hard to tell. People at tables all around us were using the blindingly bright flashlight features on their phones in order to read the menu and wine list, so we alternated between peering into the gloom or seeing spots as the neighbors’ phone lights blinded us. Despite its high ceilings the room was very noisy making everyone talk loudly- making the room noisier. Steak places usually offer creamed spinach, but Moo’s was so salty it could only be mixed with other items to be eaten. The shrimp scampi had no detectable garlic (which we think disqualifies it from being a scampi). The successful items included the carpaccio (best in Boston), Bolognese, cheesy cauliflower, wagyu dumplings, steak tartare and, of course, the steaks. Oh, and don’t expect to find a decent red wine for less than $180. Our waiter was of little help in choosing a wine from their long list, but otherwise the service was good.
Beautiful restaurant! Appetizers dinner and dessert all made to perfection. No complaints about anything. Service is very nice and on top of their game. Highly recommend!
Food, service and atmosphere - a stellar dining experience.
The restaurant is very pricey, but good for special occassion. The lobster eggs benedict was good ,
but the pancakes were disappointing, they had no fruit for the value I would not get that entree again.
Their sister restaurant Mistral is far superior and the prices are less expensive.
The service was not the best I have ever had.
EXCELLENT 5 STARS! I would defitintely go back again.
We were disappointed that the table next to us had a small child who was allowed to run around the restaurant. We are not opposed to having children there, but it was just unfathomable that the parents were allowing the child to run around. This restaurant is way too expensive to have that kind of disruptive behavior. It caused us all anxiety and fear that the child would knock over a glass or hit his head on one of the corners of the table. Not a pleasant experience.
Amazing anniversary dinner at Moo! One of the best steaks in all of Boston
The food, service, and atmosphere at Mooo are phenomenal!! We enjoyed beautiful wine, an expertly prepared steak, the side sampler was so worth it. I wish we hadn't been too full because the desserts looked great!
Just an incredible meal! The lobster was cooked perfectly. Our daughters loved there meals of filet and beef Wellington. We had the flight sides and couldn’t believe how good they were, and ended it with chocolate chip cookies!!
This is an overall excellent restaurant. The noise level is not bothersome, the service is absolutely impeccable and the food is amazing. Definitely a great place for a special occasion meal.
Really great dinner and fantastic service. The lack of 5 stars came from the fact that it seemed like most of the restaurant was empty at the time we were sat and yet we were put right in between two other dining couples in a tighter-fitting space. Would have been nice to be sat in a little bit more private of an area since there was so much opening. With that said, it's a minor problem. Everything else was perfect and I cannot wait to go back. Also word to the wise: don't fill up on the delicious bread!
