The food is so delicious I recommend it there shrimp taquitos and salmon are amazing
Always love nicks, great food, great atmosphere. It was my second time there this week!
Was cold in the outside area next to the pull down windows on a windy night
Nick's is the beat restaurant in Long Beach. They've got it all.
We made reservations for 5 for a graduation. I called made sure all was well. Asked questions about a special table. We arrived about 25 minutes early for our reservation. They said they were going to seat us as soon as they could. We stood for 40 minutes. There is no waiting areas. The bar is jammed packed . This is a Wednesday @12:30 pm.. The noise level was horrific. It’s like an old updated diner. I had expectations for a more quiet relaxed lunch for our daughter’s College Graduation. I was kind of bummed.
Food is good. Servers were nice and prompted as well.
You just need to know your not going to chat a lot or hear anyone in your party. If none of this bugs you go for it!!
We had a reservation. We were seated 15 minutes later. We were concerned about time because we had a show to attend so we only had 45 minutes for dinner. They knew we were in a hurry and they were very responsive. We were out of there in 45 minutes no problem. Food was fantastic. Service fast and friendly. Noise level was loud...the only negative but overall 5 star
Great food and ambiance. My favorite 2nd street eat for special occasions or when friends are in town. The prime rib dip and butter cake are ALWAYS a must.
I have been here a number of times.. and the quality of food and service is always good....
It was both my friends birthday and they both chose Nicks they had a wonderful time everything was excellent as always
I made a reservation on open table, and put outside table in the request area. I specifically did this as nicks on second can be very loud inside, and both of my parents who are dining with me, have hearing aids. When I arrive for my 12 PM reservation, the young lady at the front desk told me in no uncertain terms that the reservation set first available only, and that the only thing they had was an inside table. I understand that open table is not a perfect system, however the young lady at the front desk was just nasty about it.
This place is excellent. Not cheap, but high quality and good value. That makes it my go to, for special occasions.
My husband and I love Nick's for any special occasion. It gets price, so we do have to wait for a special occasion. However, we really love Nick's on 2nd and look forward to going every time and are never disappointed!
The food was GREAT!!! Also, the service was impeccable, we will definitely go back.
Steak was phenomenal
Would have liked less noise, further from the bar, other than that, great.
Waitstaff, Emma, was pleasant and efficient. Dinner nicely presented. My seafood enchiladas were tasty but way too salty. The noise level was through the roof. Also, the meals were quite expensive even without any salad or appetizers. We have eaten in this location several times since it was Christys and Sonny Bono's fur vest was on display. We think this is our last time.
This place is consistently good. It is crowded so recommend getting reservations. The staff is very courteous too. We always have a great meal. Sometimes noise level a bit too high.
The Sea Bass and Warm butter cake were amazing! Always a great experience :)
Noise level is NOT energetic... It was noisy and disturbing. Food was good, not anything special. Service was excellent... Drinks are overpriced....
Everything was awesome from start to finish, very consistent
Food and service are consistently very good, only negative is the noise level. Very loud, other than that I always enjoy going to Nicks for lunch and dinner. Nicks in San Clemente is equally as good.
Consistently great. One of the best in LB, hands down.
A must every time we come to California. Love the menu and the service is fabulous.
Been dozens of times. Consistently outstanding service from host stand to bar to booth. Dishes always on-point. Our go-to in LB.
This is our favorite place to eat on 2nd street! The food is always good!
Really Excellent food. Excellent service. Noise level is pretty high for the enclosed exterior tables, mostly due to being on a corner with a traffic light. Noise inside is high too but more tolerable than outside. Staff was very accommodating and seated us before the reservation time. I would recommend this restaurant to others.
Nick's is building quite a chain and this is the fourth we've been too. They're all great...food, service, room, etc.
Great just got sun in my eye a few times
Amazing shrimp taquitos, buttermilk fried chicken, and butter cake! Excellent service! I have been here many times and my only complaint is the noise level. Request a table outside if you are wanting to have a conversation.
we ate inside and it was very noisy. would eat outdoors next time if we go back. Waiter was pleasant but service slow. Took a long time to get our food. Waiter even apologized for wait. I had rib eye on sourdough which was very good. Fries were warm and not that good. Brother had blackened fish sandwich and gave thumbs up. The food is overpriced in my opinion as our bill was 80.00 for two sandwiches , 2 cokes, 1 tea, and a salad. Overall, good food, nice staff, loud inside, clean bathrooms, pricey and in a good neighborhood.
Nick's is always delicious! The portions are generous and the wholesome.
Nick's never disappoints, but the food and service (thanks to Adam and the rest of the team) were extra great on Sunday. It was a busy day at Nick's, but we somehow managed to luck out with a last-minute reservation, and they were even able to set us up in a booth, as requested. We truly appreciate the consistently great food and service.
Friendly and professional servers excellent cuts of beef fish is always good also recommend all the time. I think it's one of the best restaurants in Belmont Shores
Had seafood enchiladas, spinach dip and butter cake. All food was amazing, good service and ambience. This location seems to have more menu items than other nick’s.
Great restaurant. However, it is very very loud. So if you want a quiet dinner or are dining with elderly this is not the spot.
We had an excellent lunch! It was a chilly day and yet very comfortable sitting outside in the protected patio with heat lamps. Not too hot like they can get. Our server, Haley, was really excellent. A sweet personality with a great smile she and her team were on top of everything. We ordered the deep fried deviled eggs to start and they were delicious. Then they cleared the plates and brought out the silverware for the shared lunch bistro that included a petit filet atop arugula and tomato on a garlic toast, their kale and napa cabbage salad and a cup of the soup of the day which happened to be cream of asparagus. I mention the place settings because we often have to ask for the extra steak knife or soup spoon when we are sharing. Details to little things make a better impression. So service impressed us. The food did too. The filet, ordered medium rare was perfectly cooked with a nice little char on the outside. Very tender and flavorful with the stack of flavors. The asparagus soup was delicious. It had a little grilled asparagus and melted cheese that was like a present at the bottom. The restaurant interior is very upscale and inviting as well.
Great location, food and the best service in Belmont Shore
Everyone was so kind and accommodating. The food was delicious and with a host of allergies in our party it was nice to be met with options and attentiveness. I honestly can’t wait to go back for other meals.
