Nonna - Dallas
Food was as usual pretty delicious. Service was slow. It was so noisy that conversation was really difficult, even for two people with normal hearing!
Less noisy than I expected given the concrete floor. Food and service are great
We had a friend visiting from California and took her there for dinner- as always, it was wonderful. David took good care of us and the rest of the staff were attentive and welcoming as always.
Service was fantastic. Food was good, but not stellar. The crostini app and penne bolognese were excellent and hearty, but the spelt spaghetti with brussel sprouts and speck ham was dull and tasteless.
Great fresh pasta, great service! We will be back!
Excellent! We’ve been here many to times and it’s always great. The pastas are fresh made and on point.
Reliable, excellent flavors presented by polished service staff.
I loved the cozy atmosphere of Nonna. The Crispy Chicken & Pancetta Meatballs were amazing, the Sweet Potato Gnocchi was rich and delicious, and the Olive Oil Cake with Lemon Curd was the perfect way to finish out the evening. Overall, a great place! We will definitely be back.
Don’t go. I want it all to myself.
Excellent pasta, very good service.
Excellent food & good wine list. A bit pricey, but the consistency of food quality is laudable!
The food is fantastic. You are greeted warmly upon arrival and the service is very good.
This was our first time. My daughter and I went on a Tuesday night at 7:30p. The place is small and was full except for our table, another 2 top and a 4 top. Shortly after we arrived all the tables were full. George was a waiter and was knowledgeable, attentive and very sweet. He recommended an excellent wine from my description and the rest of the meal as well. We started out with their crostini which is a slice of sourdough bread with marinated tomatoes, prosciutto, and fresh finely grated cheese on top. It was like a wonderful cloud on top of the bread. We then each had a salad, the beet salad which was to die for and another citrus salad which we thought was a wee bit strange. It had blood oranges, avocado, butter lettuce and feta cheese. The house speciality, lobster ravioli was to die for. We also got the shrimp in a wine sauce w/linguini. All the pasta is homemade and you can tell. We shared all our dishes. Then for dessert we couldn't resist the donut holes with vanilla gelato. We had our usual 2 hour dinner and were the last ones to leave the dining room area. George never made us feel rushed or we had to leave. There were still 10+ people in the bar area. The next time I go, which I definitely will, I will request to sit in the bar area. It seemed to be a bit more lively for a casual dinner out. I thought the pricing was appropriate. Thank you George!
Exceptionally chic, refined, hip yet luxurious, it has been years and it literally looks brand new. Service is exquisite, price point is remarkable and good concept is great just could use a bit of seasoning on some dishes, dessert was remarkable!!!
Anniversary dinner table for two we have eaten here several times and have enjoyed the experience the menu changes daily but there are some items that they repeat from time to time
They have interesting wine list. We usually enjoy various fish dishes they have on menu and this visit was outstanding had a gulf snapper prepared in a interesting way very tasty.
Wonderful food and service, a bit pricey, but fabulous. Our waiter was superb!
Excellent service. Very creative dishes. They change their menu daily. Nonna always makes each visit a special one.
Sergio is the best waiter in Dallas. Excellent food. Excellent service
Food was excellent
Always love the best Bolognese in town
Best Italian restaurant in Dallas without any doubt!
Food is always high quality. We are never disappointed!
Always professional, affable service to complement vibrant flavors & an expert wine list.
We all enjoyed our food at Nonna. One had lobster ravioli, another a saffron pasta with shrimp, another a dish to accommodate gluten free issues,
The chopped salad was an excellent first course as well as the burrata. We did think that the service was not up to par for this restaurant this visit, , as we seemed to be waiting to give our orders and also had to ask for bread . The service was much better on previous visits.
Flavors were bright and complex. Service super. Ambiance close to being in Italy.
We got the table we asked for. Sergio was a great server! He made great recommendations on the wine, entree and dessert.
Nonna is one of the best neighborhood restaurants in Dallas, bar none. More protein options would be welcome but everything we ate was absolutely superb. Our waiter was really fantastic and the service was perfect — not intrusive while still being attentive.
VERY BAD SERVICE AND MEDIOCRE ENTREE. AND THE MANAGER HAD THE NERVE TO CALL ME ABOUT THE TIP.
Flavors, wine list & service all top drawer
Wasn’t all it was cracked up to be. Would not recommend. Portion sizes were very small- I mean tiny! Prices do not reflect tiny portions. Service was SLOW like whoa! Three hours to dine on a weekday night? Crazy! The pasta was ok, meat was ok, apps just ok.... everything was just ok. Nothing special. I would say go to Lucia (if you can get in) its way better, or taverna. Much better food and service. From a revive perspective- our waitress was very slow and not friendly... towards the end this got more noticeable. And then she brought us checks with 20% gratuity added. This was not mentioned on the menu. So it was disappointing to see she just didn’t care and knew she would add her tip. By the way, I was a server and bartender and always leave more- so her loss.
Great food, but expensive for how small my serving of lamb was
Simply still the best Italian in Dallas for years. Constantly creative. NEVER disappoints.
One of the best meals I have ever had!!!!
The chef is creative without being stuffy. The food is just magnificent from the Pizza to the Oysters Oreganata you can go wrong.
Hidden treasure. Very high quality neighborhood type restaurant. Easy to guess how they pay attentions to details to prepare foods without their words.
We are long term fans of Nonna. Yesterday we introduced another couple to the joys and delights of dining there for lunch. They are connoisseurs of good food and they were very impressed. They are looking forward to visiting again soon for dinner so they can sample some of the great wines on the amazing wine list. The food was outstanding, as always, and the service was exceptional. We want to especially commend our waitress, Linda, and Francisco who remembered that my husband always has to have his water without ice. Since we had only met Francisco once before - on New Year's Eve - we were doubly impressed. Service is a hallmark of the Nonna experience.
Pasta recommended by the waiter was uninteresting with little flavor. I was surprised because usually the food at this restaurant is excellent.
Such a lovely evening, from the food to the atmosphere to the service! The perfect place for a birthday dinner
Amazing food, service and ambiance. The perfect place to celebrate our anniversary!
This is a really great restaurant with a REAL Italian menu, including the wine (not just a bistro with Italian food).
Loved our dinner here! We have been to Fachini but this was our first visit to Nonna. The hostess greeted us with a big smile and let us pick our table. The somm, Sergio, was spot on with our profile of wine. Our pasta and pork chop couldn't have been better! We will return.
