Great pizza, wine, and food in general! Service was excellent. If you come from Italy, this is the place to go! Try the Vermentino Costamolino and the tiramisu!

I’ve been here several times and it never disappoints. From the hosts greetings, service to food a wonderful restaurant to just engage with friends or celebrate a special occasion. Considering restaurant prices in todays market Obica is reasonable for amazing quality. Highly recommend the focaccia bread even though the standard bread basket is excellent w the dipping oil. The char grilled octopus w lime mayonnaise dressing is the best. Cooked to perfection. The caprese salad w the fresh mozzarella w pesto is delicious. Both appetizers can be shared. Main course on Zucchini Parmigiana was delicious. Layers of homemade pasta, zucchini were thin and sauce so tasty. For dessert it was the gelato trio. My only criticism was too melted. I recommend the strawberry and chocolate for me the vanilla too sweet. Top it off with an excellent cappuccino. Love Obica. BTW service was great.

Made a reservation and added special request for outside seating. Was told they didn’t get the note which I clearly showed them on my phone. Told it would be a 30 min wait for outside and deferred us to the bar where the bartender was pretty rude. He was especially impatient to my friend who was trying to decide what she wanted to drink. Few of the wines we would have liked to have by the glass were unfortunately only available in bottle. After waiting 45 mins approached the hostess to find out what was going on. We decided to sit inside because we were hungry by this point. Wait staff was great. Hostess was not helpful at all. Overall wait staff and food were great but hostess and bartender a total turn off.

Fabulous restaurant. Have been to all of the ones in Italy and this one is just as good. Best part is that they don’t use garlic or onion which is refreshing, you can actually taste the ingredients. Highly recommend Obica NY.

We sat at the bar. It was fine We had the bar menu which I guess is a deal but it’s kind of expensive for what it is. It’s a nice atmosphere. The service is nice.

We dine in the outside patio, the subway is running right underneath so it gets a little more noisy when trains are passing but overall it’s a quiet area. The food was really good and as an Italian I must say I loved their pasta. Good wine! Good mozzarella!

Bruschetta was very good, and the spaghetti with black pepper and romano/parm was delicious. My daughter had a kids size cheese pizza which was tasty but VERY runny. It needed a fork and knife to eat as she could not pick it up. Overall though it was a very pleasant lunch.

We waited for over 1 hours for our order, we were keep asking. After 1 hour and 1/2 they brought us the wrong order and realized our order was not even in the system. We were offer free drinks at least. We won’t be back, bad service

Service was terrible. Also their “iced coffee” is just hot coffee poured over ice which is even more confusing by the fact that they don’t offer just regular coffee. Took 10minutes to get ketchup. Also the food was fine but nothing exciting. It was overall fine but I wouldn’t return.

Miguel was very inviting and made our guests visiting from Italy feel very comfortable. He went out of his way to make sure we captured some pictures of the group inside and outside the restaurant. I highly recommend the craft drinks, very tasty and not super expensive for NYC. I’ll definitely be back for drinks after work. - John C

The hostess first tried to seat us at the front table, right behind the hostess stand. We asked if we could sit somewhere else, away from the front door and hostess stand. She took us all the way to the back of the restaurant, the table in a dark little corner. There was only about 6 other tables in the restaurant at this time. Very disrespectful. Won’t be back.
