During the low season (from July 23rd to October 13th), we operate with 2 service times: 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, and we close at 4:00 PM.

High season hours (starting October 15th) will be 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, with closing time at 5:00 PM.

To make a reservation, the system requires a non-refundable prepayment of $120 pesos per person for round-trip boat transportation. This amount is not refundable in case of cancellations or no-shows. If you hike in or arrive by your own boat, this payment will serve as a deposit and will be deducted from your bill on the day of your visit.

Please note; our weather and waves can change on a moment's notice. We may have to cancel the water taxi and close the restaurant if the waves are too high. This only happens occasionally but if we do you will receive a text on the phone number you leave with open table.

You can access Boca de Tomatlan by bus, Uber, or Taxi. We are 30 minutes south of Puerto Vallarta. Please go to the cement dock and our water taxi will pick you up 20 minutes before your reservation. Look for the boat with our shirts that say Ocean Grill.
Public transit
Take a bus in Basilio Badillo street in Zona Romántica. It will drop you in the highway and need to walk down to the pier. Cabs or Uber will drop you off at the dock directly

A unique and enjoyable experience. Only take the water taxi, it’s claimed you can walk to the restaurant but I wouldn’t if I were you. The food is fresh with unique twists on old favorites. It is quiet, isolated and right on the water. Well worth any effort to get there! P.S. you must use the bathroom! Best toilet view 8’ve ever seen! 😂

What a beautiful experience our lunch turned out to be! We chose to prepay the Ocean Grill Water Taxi and so it was easily identifiable when it arrived with the name of the restaurant on the side and it had a shaded cover, too. The restaurant ambiance is impressive and the food is top notch. Table service is fantastic! Thank you to all for went out of the way to make my amiga's bday memorable. I'll keep coming back to Ocean Grill, each time I visit in Puerto Vallarta.

What an incredible experience! We loved visiting the Ocean Grille - a short boat ride from Boca de Tomaton just south of Mismaloya. We were lucky to meet the owner Ernesto Paulsen on the way over. He was so gracious and we loved the gorgeous atmosphere, delicious and beautifully presented food and the wonderful service.

While the adventure getting there is quite the buildup the current experience was underwhelming. It’s a beautiful location they are just doing a lot of renovations at the moment. The menu is super limited. Our friends are vegetarian and there’s only one veggie burger option.

We come here every time we are in PVR. Service and food was the usual excellence. The construction going on at the restaurant was a bit distracting but it looks like it will be better than ever when done. If you are in PVR infrequently don’t let the construction prevent a visit. It is always worth the trip.
