Oceanaire Seafood Room - Dallas
Everything was outstanding! From the moment we were welcomed at the door until we left. We started with the chicken fried lobster as an appetizer. It is a definite must try and one of my favorites! My parents and I loved all of our food. Nathan and Amelia took care of us and made our experience very special. I can't wait to go back!
Nathan was incredible. He was the perfect waiter. The entrées were not as flavorful as I might have expected.
Great experience for a birthday dinner in a very modern, atmosphere.
I thought it was quite overrated. The meat was very salty and not tender st all. The biggest disappointment was that the server started to clean the table before everyone had finished eating. Almost as it we were being hurried up to leave.
We always enjoy Oceanaire. The food, drinks and ambiance is great. Took my husband for his 53rd Birthday and we had a great time. Highly recommend this place for special occasions.
Great Crab Cake and the Oysters were awesome. We are regulars for the Sunday Oysters.
My husband and I went to this wonderful restaurant for our anniversary dinner, and we are so happy we went, they took the time to print out our menus with a happy anniversary note on top! What a beautiful detail
Food was delicious, the server took his time to go over the menu with us, we will be back to Oceanaire for sure, when we go back to Texas.
Thank you Oceanaire for making our dinner so special.
Attentive/non-invasive service, always excellent food - consistently a favorite
Fuzo has taken care my family for 18 years he is awesome
Great service and good fresh seafood. Enjoy the menus.
Never disappoints. Freshest seafood.
Celebrating a birthday and the dinner was wonderful. Birthday dessert was complimentary. Server was a perfect mix of helpful and attentive. A little noisier than usual with a large, corporate event close by.
Great! Highly recommend!!
I have eaten at extraordinary restaurants all across America. Las Vegas, Chicago, New Orleans, Houston, Tampa, California, New York, and etc. This was the best Filet Mignon I have ever eaten. Sides were awesome as well. Perfect 10.
The Oceanaire is a great place to dine if you want someone to feel special. Our main course was amazing. Our servers were attentive. I can’t find any negatives about our experience. Highly recommend.
Excellent food and even better service. One of our favorite places
Waiter was fun and made it more enjoyable then it already was
Food & service was outstanding.
Our only complaint is that they seated 10 of us right in front of kitchen walk-way where wait Staff hectically passed through making it a bit uneasy.
Server was really nice but had too many tables, we never received refills on our drinks. We were in the smallest table with a lot of foot traffic
Went for our anniversary which happens to coincide with New Years Eve celebrations. Food was very good, recommend the Oysters Rock from the appetizer side. Drinks were good, the house special martini was not what it should have been for a twenty dollar martini but that was the only low light in the evening. Nate, our server, is a professional and made the service fun and engaging while not holding back on a healthy dose of sardonic humor. When you go, ask to sit in his section you will not be disappointed.
New Years Eve
I will continue to dine at, and recommend your establishment to my clients/family and friends.
It was amazing!! The grill dish with lobster and shrimp and asparagus was just lovely. They even gave me drawn butter in a candlelit warming tray. It was everything. The Cabernet (the Italian one) was robust with flavor and undertones. We were quickly seated and everybody was so nice and welcoming. Perfect for dates, birthdays and any special occasions.
My husband and I chose Oceanaire-Dallas based on a friend's recommendation of another Oceanaire in a different city to celebrate an important milestone in our relationship.
We were highly disappointed by our experience all around. Our service was poor and we were told that were another table was more important. The food was average. When we said that it was our first time at the restaurant we did not receive any comments of welcome or any additional explanations of their menu even after asking for one.
Overall, this was not worth the price we paid in any form.
If you like fish you'll love the Oceanaire. The filet mignon was also excellent. Everything was great, the food, the service, the setting and the company.
The food was outstanding! My only complaint would be that I felt like I was a million miles away from my husband the entire time. I would definitely recommend but depending on the situation request a different table option as a couple eating dinner.
Expected wonderful food and service and wasn’t disappointed. Pricier than comparable places. Menu was expansive but confusing with many duplicate dishes. Sometimes less is more.
Has been better. Staff seemed rushed to get us out (7PM). Food was more in line with a typical Landry’s and not anything special. It used to be a cut above other Landry properties. We will give it another shot however because the menu variety is second to none. I think we just caught them on an off night.
We had delicious food and great service. Very low key and enjoyable.
Food is great, service attentiveness lagged a bit.
Disappointing. Have been to Oceanaire many times in the past and this was a really bad experience. Halibut T-bone was very good as were the crab cakes. Seafood mixed grill was okay. The filet mignon with shrimp was mediocre. Calamari was sparse. Oysters were excellent. The service and the experience were not good. Our waiter started out attentive but when a famous person came in and that table was assigned to our waiter, our waiter became almost none existent. We sat for long periods of time while we watched him be very attentive to the VIP table he had. We saw our bus person more than we saw our waiter. Add to that when our waiter did come to our table he knocked over glasses causing a spill with broken glass onto the person at our table who was the reason we were there celebrating. We definitely felt like after thoughts at the restaurant. Just not a good overall experience.
We always enjoy the fresh seafood that is well prepared and the excellent service.
We try to make it every time the Filet & Crabcake special hits the menu. It is not only delicious, but also a great deal!
It was my husbands birthday and the menu was personalized to say Happy Birthday Brian! It was a small gesture that meant a lot. The food was amazing as well. We had the shrimp and grits for the appetizer, chicken fried lobster and crab cakes for the entrees. It’s days later and my husband can’t stop talking about the food.
Everything was superb with one exception; the filet mignon was too salty. My server, Tim, is knowledgeable, friendly and prompt
Loved using Open Table to make our reservations. Restaurant was decorated nicely for Christmas. Hostess greeted us and very friendly. Our server with Gene David. He was very friendly at the beginning. Had to ask for our drinks to be refilled often. Usually at a place like this, I would expect an assistant waiter or someone to constantly check on these things. We weren't offered any bread like we saw being offered to other tables. We ordered calamari, chowder, and gumbo for appetizers. All very good and tasty. For entrees, they offered a traditional Christmas plate which included Turkey, dressing, green beans, sweet potatoes, and brussel sprouts which my sister ordered. No gravy for the turkey which was a surprise. Husband ordered the "Surf and Turf" - 10oz filet and lobster tail. I ordered the grilled salmon and added a lobster tail. Brother-in-law ordered the Seafood grill - lobster tail and scallops. All very delicious! We weren't offered a dessert menu and had to ask for one. He only brought one, I guess for all of us to share. This is usually a thing you'd want to upsell. At this point I felt like Gene David just wanted us to leave. We weren't pesky or troublesome diners either. We were barely there 1.25 hrs and you'd expect at least 2 hrs for an enjoyable and pleasant meal for this type of establishment. We ordered creme brulee, carrot cake, and the blueberry and white chocolate bread pudding. Yumminess all around. It was Christmas and if our server didn't want to work, maybe he should have requested off. We still enjoyed ourselves despite Gene David. Hostesses were nice at the end when validating our valet parking ticket which gives you a flat rate vs hourly rate. I would go back and make sure I don't get seated in Gene David's section. Sorry but it could've been a lot better on service after spending $415.
Good food and nice environment for special occasions.
Regular guests. One of our favorite dining places. Over ten years!
Great service and atmosphere for Christmas dinner
