We visited for the first time celebrating two 50th birthdays. Orfeo treated us with great care and made it an absolutely fabulous evening filled with excellent service, delicious food and drinks, and an all around lovely environment. Thank you! We will be back!
The good was okay, not special. The shrimp were extremely overcooked - tough and rubbery.
Great food and wonderful service. The restaurant is small and friendly. The food is great.
My second visit to Orfeo, and once again I was delighted with the food and service. They always go above and beyond with the friendliness. I really enjoy going there and hope to get back soon.
Food is really good and my guests and I really appreciated the bossanova music, but the service is terrible: absent waiter, and the few times we was at the table he was rude as heck.
Food was delicious and service was outstanding. Very nice place for a quite dinner.
The place was quite empty for a Friday night, which was surprising since the food and service were so good. The smoked mussels were delicious and the server was kind to take my special order of burger no bun and sub the fried potatoes for sauteed veggies. Our table of 5 was able to all find dishes that suited our dietary preferences and restrictions, and our server was a hoot. There was even some lovely live music. Highly recommend.
We were there for Valentines dinner and we had never been before. I usually like to reserve more well known places but I took a chance.
Both of us loved the food. The octopus salad and the hearth bread were awesome starters.
I ordered the short rib pappardelle and it was excellent. My wife ordered the crab pasta and it was even better.
The service was great and the dessert was also over the top yummy.
Not a fan of the 20% gratuity added to the bill but their explanation of how these funds are divided made sense and the service certainly lived up to it.
We will certainly be back. Highly recommend this place.
We are regulars at Kevin Davis’ restaurants, and he invariably goes beyond hospitable when we dine at one. Educated, polite and efficient staff. Best table in the restaurant always seems to be avail@ble to us. When he is on site, a personal visit to the table to discuss the food, wine, and other fun topics. Very highly recommended!!
Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Food was outstanding.
We always enjoy dining at Orfeo. The food is great and the people are wonderful.
Excellent, excellent, excellent. It was delightful!
First of all, let me say that the food was really very good so that was not the issue at all. However, the service was odd to say the least. It all started with our table which was upstairs away from the main area. This would have been okay but it felt like we were the one reservation too many that they should not have taken and therefore were put in a spot normally reserved for bigger parties. As a result, we did indeed end up being in between two long tables of large parties. Awkward! Then the service....it wasn't unfriendly but very unpolished and odd for a restaurant of this caliber. After getting a tester of two different chardonnays, when the bottle was brought the server asked if it mattered which glass she poured it into (and the bottle ordered was different from the samples) as she quickly splashed some randomly into one of the used glasses. Then our appetizer came after our mains, glasses were broken, the bill was messed up.....
Overall, first world problems but I was frankly surprised and would not go back even though the food was good.
Super great service and delicious food!!
Our waiter James seemed to be serving most of the people at the wine dinner, his service to our group was efficient, timely and he was charming. He even carried out some of our wine purchase for us. The dinner and wines were, as expected, beautiful and delicious. We had all been concerned about the venison dish, as it can be gamey. The farm raised venison from New Zealand, the prep, accompanying kumquats and polenta were perfect. I hope they add it to the regular menu again. We are not fans of Chardonnay, but the Willamette Vintners Chardonnay was delicious. We bought a case to share Thank you Chef KD,Bruce,James and the entire staff.
Birthday. Great food!
Always a great experience at Orfeo. We love the eggplant jenga and the service is always exceptional. Great Happy Hour as well.
I definitely recommend the oysters and the bread! Outstanding.
The food and ambience is pleasant. The waitress continued to make mistakes through the night. However, despite our service, I would highly recommend this restaurant particularly for the ambience, originality of food and finally for the attention to detail and professionalism when a problem should arise
This is a great Seattle restaurant. The service is always good, prices are on the higher side but not by much and the food is fresh and tastey. It's only not a 5 star in my book because it's good but not mind blowing
It wasn’t great. We probably won’t go back. Service was bad. Food was undercooked.
Service was great! There were a few loud people in the bar. Appetizer was tasty! Entrees were just ok.
Great for new years dinner when we needed last min reservations, food was good, though a bit expensive for what we got. Salmon fritter starter was wonderful, bread and dips were very good, pasta Arrabbiata was ok, steak was good!
This was my first time here and we had NYE dinner with great company. Customer service was above and beyond fantastic! Food and cocktails was wonderful and I will be returning.
We had dinner here on New Year’s eve or before going to a celebration. The waitress and all the other staff were very pleasant, however, the 4 of us after looking over the wine list felt pressured from the waitress to order wine above the price level we wanted. It was somewhat awkward to “put the food down” and just order the “ok” wine. There was also a snafu in the kitchen and they did not bring out one of our appetizers. The waitress apologized and took it off our bill. The food was great, and the atmosphere is charming.
Fantastic service, wood-fired mussels are smoky, the bomb! Great fish, lamb, pork dishes for winter. Go!
Todo muy bien
Liked our visit. Server was good, timely. My wine selection wasn’t available so he suggested another which was good. Not many other patrons in the restaurant, except a large group celebrating a birthday but they weren’t loud.
Great environment, great foods, great service, we have a good memory for our anniversary
Great service. Quiet but it was pretty empty..Good pizza. Good salmon and Mahimahi but the pasta was forgettable. Kinda mushy. Puttanesca with scallops had too much tomato paste and a half a jar of martini olives. Could not finish. Fantastic chicory salad with squash and grapefruit
It was a pleasure to revisit this space that I had known as Brasa for many years. The food was delicious, in particular, the crab and saffron pasta I had. Very memorable. The salmon fritters were equally yummy. And to top it off, the chocolate desserts in celebrating of my birthday was great. I plan on going back here soon. Our waiter Adam made the experience all the more pleasurable.
Food was wonderful. Unfortunately we had a server who was rude and gratuity was automatically included in the billing
It was a nice setting however the prices were a bit high for the portion of food. The food was delicious however pricing is too high. Staff was excellent.
Our server was actually really friendly, industrious and accommodating. It was busy and a weekend night. It was hard to hear in the booth we were sitting in and it feels like you are sitting in a box, but we asked to be sat up there because there was a large very loud party on the bottom floor that we wanted to avoid. My hubby and I usually sit at the bar but we had a party of 4 this night. We really love Orfeo and 9 times out of 10, the food is really good. This night it arrived at the table nearly cold. we were too hungry to complain but it was kind of a bummer. Also, I had 4 (maybe 5?) shrimp in my arrabiata - is that usual? I can't recall. PS...I would be so thrilled if you increased your speciality cocktail list!
Wonderful staff and delicious food!
Great food, reasonable priced, good house wines. Service was excellent.
Seriously, go here for Italian-inspired Northwest cuisine at it's freshest. Great waitstaff. Guitarist played a nice jazz acoustic-vibe, nice round tones. Really great evening!
Arrabiata could have been spicier. Also forgot to offer chilies for the pizza.
5 stars for ambiance as they had a live guitarist on Friday nights that really added to the atmosphere with lovely dinner music. Happy they were able to accommodate my gluten-free friends with gluten free pasta or pizza crust choices. A little bummed the waitress dumped a good part of my drink and did not even offer to have it re-made, so one star less on service, but otherwise, this spot is always a solid choice.
