    Always an amazing experience at Orofino! Ordered the Lobster and Crab Ravioli and it was phenomenal. Pasta was super fresh and light.

    Orofino is nothing short of a glimmering gem. I’ve traveled (and eaten) globally (including in Italy) and yet, when I think of my perfect restaurant, this one inevitably comes to mind. I have eaten many appetizers, entrées, and daily and monthly specials here, and I have never had anything less than superb. Even the side salads are artful. Before my husband and I moved to Fredericksburg officially, we delighted that we’d soon “live close to Orofino.” Now, at a year out, it is genuinely an anchor for us. We don’t dream of going anywhere else on nice date nights or special occasions, and when our friends and family come to town, we bring them here first. It still mystifies me (as someone who was raised on the coast in Florida and considers myself a legitimate, generational shrimp connoisseur) that the best shrimp that I’ve ever had in my life comes atop the consistently stellar seafood dishes I’ve been served at Orofino. I still have dreams about the swordfish special I had here once, too. Attentive, top-notch service, sublimely mixed cocktails and a wonderful wine selection, and a comfortable, romantic atmosphere. I recommend sitting in the alley if the weather permits. Most of all, I have to boast on Orofino’s extraordinary accommodation of my dairy allergy. It’s exceedingly difficult as someone who is genuinely allergic (not just intolerant) to find places that will take my request seriously while also serving me something delicious. This seems particularly impossible to find when it comes to Italian cuisine. Orofino has never failed to set the standard; I am always served a completely dairy-free meal that still tastes heavenly, and I’ve never once had a reaction afterwards. In other words, I’m a big fan.

    Orofino's is by far our favorite restaurant in Fredericksburg, VA. He has monthly specials that feature a region of Italy which we love. Danillo Orofino is an amazing chef and business owner that makes all of his customers feel like family. He is very proud of his Sicilian heritage and enjoys sharing it with the people of Fredericksburg. We 100% recommend this restaurant.
