What Insiders Are Saying
One of LA's finest Italian restaurants, Osteria Mozza in Hollywood is still very much at the top of its game.
The food was good but the moment we entered to restaurant there was heavy burnt cooking oil engulfing all restaurant space. By the time we left the restaurant all of our dresses absorbed the smell.
Fantastic dinner here - quality of service was very high from arrival, food, bar staff, wine and service. Atmosphere was fun and full of vibe. Food importantly did not disappoint, in fact was excellent!!! Can’t wait to return.
One of my favorite restaurants in Los Angeles. Never disappoints. I would eat here every day if I could. Knowledgeable staff. Superb service. Doesn’t get any better than this.
Great food, lovely room as always. Below average service - our waiter was aloof and inattentive, really couldn't care less about our experience there. Did the minimum required, including doing very little to make up for soaking one of us with a full glass of red wine he spilled on her. Of course we'll go again - and try not to get him.
Service was great and server was attentive and very knowledgeable. Our food arrived fairly quick. My favorite Italian food in LA so far. Thank you for making our anniversary so special.
The service was spot on. Food was excellent. I would expect nothing less from a place like this. Some of my friends said it was steep but 4 people ate until we almost exploded for under $300. I know that sounds steep but I have been to places that were more hype and less substance that cost way more!
The mozzarella bar is a "must try".
The tagliatelle was superb as was the quail.
A heavy hand on the salt should be noted
The food was amazingly delicious. Every single bite! I am ashamed I had no room for dessert!
Place was amazing. The burrata is the freshest I’ve ever had. I would definitely go again.
Great Italian restaurant! Incredibly tasty food. Our only regret is that we were only able to go there once!
Amazing!!!! Food was spectacular and truly an unforgettable experience.
Best restaurant in Los Angeles!
Always an amazing experience at Osteria. Great service and amazing food. We celebrated another birthday dinner and they never disappoint.
I've been to Osteria Mozza a couple times, this time I was sat in the back room which was much quieter than the main room, so just depends on the atmosphere you are looking for. The food is always good, the service is always friendly and spectacular. Will keep making the drive from Santa Monica.
Birthday meal was an outstanding experience. Our server, Elyssa, was fantastic helping us navigate the excellent menu and making sure she recommended dishes we should not miss but also dishes that we would like given our preferences. The food comes out at the right time and you are never crowded at your table. The breads are amazing, the mozzarella tasting was a great start, followed by an amazing grilled octopus, the persimmon salad was favorable and fresh. The pastas such as the tortellini brood are the right size. Leave room for the Torta Nonna at the end, is a perfect desert to share. Overall a great experience and would do it again.
Fantastic food and service
One of the best white-tablecloth dining experiences in Los Angeles, combining Nancy Silverton's culinary talents with Joe Bastianich's incredible wine list. The menu, from Mario Batali, is like a non-consensual exploration of Italy's ripest flavors. Highly recommended.
Heavily overpriced. Had a small Brussels sprout salad which cost $18 and was literally just some shaved Brussels, some almonds, olive oil and some seasoning. Gnocchi was $32 for a cup of gnocchi with some tomato sauce over it. Will not go back. Total tab was ~$180 for 2 people.
Took my mom out to dinner. Osteria Mozza is always a great experience and never disappoints when it comes to the quality of food and service. From appetizers to dessert, everything on the menu is amazing!
Good experience and fine Italian food
Will definitely be a repeat visitor when in town. Our server was outstanding. 5 stars
Osteria Mozza is a place that takes pride in what it does. From the call to confirm the reservation, to our check at the end of the night and everything in between we were met with nothing but the utmost professionalism. You could tell everyone there wanted the customer's experience to be the best it could. For us, it was.
Definitely one of the best meals we’ve ever had in Los Angeles especially as Italian food lovers. We were very much looking forward to the octopus. It was never served. We forgot to ask for it not realizing it was skipped. We realized the next day that the thing we were most excited about ordering we never got to eat. Otherwise an absolutely exceptional meal and service was great.
Amazing food !!!! Every dish was unique ! Ambiance was unbelievable!
Osteria Mozza never disappoints in terms of food/wine.... Med love it
Went for New Year's with family. Room was elegantly decorated with white large tall balloon centerpieces on tables. Service was exquisite. The pasta dishes were fresh and creative. The trout with lentils was hearty and delicious. They honored food allergies with care. I would definitely go back during different seasons and to try the mozzarella bar.
Eat! Eat! Eat! Eat all the things you can. Mozza has become our go-to for an annual feast of friendship. We love all of the options, and usually share multiple dishes so that everyone can have a taste. There are great gluten free options for the pasta (so much so that you wouldn't know the pasta was GF). Lovely traditional dishes and new twists on the old. Expansive wine list. Don't try to sort this out, ask for the sommelier's help. We haven't been steered wrong yet!
We had a very enjoyable evening- creative menu, all dishes well-prepared, attentive service.
Great ambiance and a buzzy spot. Quality of the dishes varied widely, some disappointments on the basics such as a bland and soggy cacio e pepe.
Food was very inconsistent as was the service. For the price point, it should be much better. We were very underwhelmed.
Dinner before the Theater. Food is Excellent. Ambience is excellent. Service is excellent. Very well done creations, preparation, presentation. This is a top 5 LA restaurant in any category.
Excellent food all around
Food very good as always. Took a while for the main meal to come after the starters.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in LA but no longer. Quality and creativity in food has declined; but restaurant was full so I guess they don’t have to make much effort. And it was definitely not worth $250 for two people (with only a couple glasses of wine). We will not be going back again; much better fine dining options are available.
Our family enjoyed a very special occasion and truly enjoyed our experience! We tried some incredibly interesting and tasty new dishes! You can’t ask for better service and the atmosphere feels like a warm and charming place in the heart of Manhattan.
Literally mouth watering. No words just go
Christmas eve dinner for 4. Nice table and pleasant service to start. Having been there many times before did not know we had to do the entire order at once. Ended up ordering more than we could eat. The foie gras was more of a pate; large and tasty. Duck Confit - delicious. We brought a bottle of wine from Tuscany and at first we were a little put off. We ordered a nice Suave wine and that seemed to make the staff happy. As dinner progressed service did slip a bit, but overall a very nice experience. Will go back but maybe not on a holiday.
