Exceptional. Continually out doing yourselves.
Your staff are fantastic! friendly and helpful. Cannot fault anything.
Got extra brownies points from wife.
And the gentlemen who recommended Melon tea was right on point! Good job Langham! If only I could afford a night there haha
A great valentines meal. The food and service were first rate
I would definitely recommend
High Tea experience not as great as I had been hoping for- service was a bit slow and somewhat lacking in knowledge and enthusiasm. Waitress had trouble with the English language.
I am not sure that I would return.
Very pleasant afternoon tea. Wonderful food and service.
Service was dismal at best. Felt like I had to snap my fingers to get attention.
Tables are stained, silverware was not properly polished. When i pointed this out, the staff just shrugged it off like it was no big deal.
Food was mediocre.
Service was exceptional - staff are polite, efficient and very professional.
All three courses of the meal were delicious.
The setting was beautiful.
Our new favourite restaurant!
Nice dining environment and service. Good place for friends catchup.
There were some flies around us. Without them, everything was perfect
Second time I have been there and going again in 2weeks, the service and staff are amazing nothing is to much trouble the food excellent and the soundings is perfect highly recommend it to everyone
It was lovely from the moment we walked in. Service was terrific, the gluten free option had a great selection and The only thing missing was a little candle for my 2 friends celebrating their birthdays. I understood there would be something a little more special and perhaps should have telephoned to clarify how that would work with the high tea.
Sean our server was fantastic and the staff where very accomdating
Go at least once you will not be disappointed
We had a very pleasant time celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary at the Langham. The service was very good and lunch time noise was minimal. Both our entrees and main meals were very good although the desert selection was not up to standard. Overall a very good afternoon
Lovely hotel restaurant. We had both lunch and dinner. We enjoyed the steaks, the cabbage and broccoli salad, added prawns to the salad, and excellent Australian Sauvignon Blanc. Friendly service, beautifully served food.
Loved champagne high tea with bestie organised by my husband. Lovely music. Lively service. Although fly, mosquito & fruit fly hanging around & charged credit card fee when paid with savings.
Wonderful High Tea
We experienced Langham’s Afternoon Tea with Wedgewood as a group of 7 and it was really enjoyable. Highly recommend!
Beautiful hotel, first class service and a fantastic high tea! It's expensive but worth it for a special occasion.
I really love The Langham. Beautiful decor, excellent food and service.
Considering I have worked in the hospitality industry for over 30 years what let you down on the day was your minimal meet and greet and your bar flies that perfected the meet and greet from the outset.
Once seated they were our dining buddies.
A request to be relocated after my champagne was undrinkable we moved further away and with our bar fly buddies continuing to be a bother.
We were told by a female staff member that they fly in when the main door is open.
I have managed venues for years operationally across multiple areas of hospitality and are quite familiar with bar flies that love to live in sweet sticky areas.
The bar is near by and residual sticky surfaces, fruit condiments left open in the bar, benches and wet areas not cleaned and dried thoroughly are a breeding ground for bar flies.
We had the privilege of attending Palm Court Langham London earlier this year and was really looking forward to attending Sydneys Langham.
On comparison you are worlds apart.
Tea time was great with the family!
Took my partner’s grandmother and friend to high tea - amazing food and service!
Amazing personalised seBrice - I was my daughters 10th birthday and they created a special plate of handmade chocolates and desserts. Incredible service. Divine settting. Very plush and luxurious and delicious - our favourite home away from home!
As usual, friendly service, great ambience and delicious scones!
Christmas high tea, savoury was really wonderful the sweet components were too sweet, too much cream, needed a citrus / baked component as it lacked balance. Plan to return and try the traditional high tea
A quiet elegant domain for a catchup with friends for high tea reached by a pleasant stroll from Wynnyard Station. Easy!
It was a really wonderful experience. The atmosphere is so beautiful. Food is also very good. Excellent guest service second to none. Staff is really helpful and friendly. The lady who managing the palm restaurant was very nice and gave us a surprise anniversary treat. Very nice place.
When the staff chases you down two blocks to return the sunglasses you left behind... they are the best.
We thoroughly enjoyed our High Tea at the Langham. A very classy establishment with fantastic service, ambiance and delicious choices of High Tea selections and tea its self. I would recommend and would attend again - loved it.
This was a very lovely experience! The ambiance and presentation was lovely! Seemed a bit pricey ($80), but it's Sydney! Would recommend for a delightful afternoon! :-)
Hot food on high tea menu should be served hot not lukewarm. Children's menu should really be set up for children, not same as adult menu. My 10 year old daughter only ate two things as the flavors are too strong for kids. Overall, the hotel is beautiful and the food was lovely. I would highly recommend but not with children.
At a 5* hotel you expect great service; it started off well, but after ordering drinks and then afternoon tea, no-one asked if everything was ok and they didn’t even ask for our tea order, we had to ask for a waiter to come over!
A very elegant atmosphere - very suitable especially for celebrating older relatives birthdays - we were there for a 97 year old lady who thoroughly enjoys the ambience, the service and especially the glass of bubbly! She is a frequent visitor.
I love the Langham I have been there 2 years in a row for High Tea with different friends and all say they love it food excellent ambiance great overall experience excellent
Service was exceptional and we were well catered for with the chef changing the high tea for our dietary needs.
One of the best high tea's in Sydney. Ample serving (even though it's not a buffet). Kids friendly. A little pricey, but keen to go back.
Considering the price tag of $100 I was expecting a higher quality experience, high tea and level of service. The Langham has a lovely Art Deco setting but they sat us by a window, which had the suns heat and glare straight into my eyes, not exactly the peaceful, calm setting you expect for high tea. The wait staff were not very attentive, we waited a long time before they took our tea order and when they brought it, they didn’t even bother to ask if we had milk with the black tea we ordered, and never once checked back in with us after our initial tea. The food looked lovely and most of it was delicious. For the savoury items the shortcomings were a cold lamb pie and arancini ball which were clearly meant to be served hot - perhaps they cooled in the long wait time before they brought out our food. It wasn’t all bad, there were delicious scones and sandwiches as you’d expect, and a tasty salmon tartare delight. The sweet options were a little disappointing, all were a bit sickly sweet and missing a fruity tartness, and there wasn’t a single chocolatey morsel in sight, a sad day for a chocolate lover. The highlight of the sweets was a lovely lavender macaron. Overall not a bad experience, but certainly not worth the price tag. I’ve had much better ambience, service and food and tea for less.
Absolutely delightful High Tea experience! The best High Tea in Sydney!
Beautiful high tea! Gorgeous decor, exceptional service. Delicious high tea. Would come again!
The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was great!
I live in Los Angeles and one of my all-time favorite high tea spots is The Langham Pasadena.
The Langham Sydney, unfortunately, is nothing like it's sister counterpart.
The high tea room is, obviously, well-decorated and beautiful. However, the lovely ambiance was ruined by a very loud group of women next to us who thought high tea = loud sports bar talking.
We tried enjoying our food, at least, but even that failed to impress or even satiate on a basic hunger level.
Our food was basically untouched - a bite here and there. The seasoning was off and overall bland. We missed the classic sandwich fillings. The scones were doughy, more like biscuits, but we noticed this was a common theme across all the tea houses in Australia, so we weren't really expecting much there.
The staff was accommodating, but there's only so much they can do when everything else was lacking in substance and quality.
