I love going to Pammy's for special occasions. This past time we went on my birthday and everything was perfect.
Great - actually better than great, super great.
Special place to go with friends who love food - that way you can try multiple appetizers and get a taste of so many of the amazing options.
Dont skip the pasta course
Try as many things as you can
Drinks are interesting and fun
Sommelier is knowledgeable, approachable and great to talk to...
A delicious dinner at Pammy's for our last dinner in Boston before moving to Seattle. Thank you for a beautiful night, as always! We'll miss you, Pammy's!
I loved the atmosphere, and Pammys was so kind to accommodate am extra person in our party who we asked to add on later. The food was very good, but it was very expensive compared to other restaurants of similar quality, in my opinion. It was also rather warm in the restaurant and even warmer by the kitchen; I felt bad for the staff as it must have been uncomfortable to work with the warmer temperatures. The main thing that led me to a lesser star, is that the staff noticeably tried to rush out our party after 2 hours. One of the workers actually took my friends napkin off the table while we were sitting there. Unless a restaurant specifically says there's a time limit per table, I don't appreciate feeling rushed to enjoy a nice dinner with friends. For this reason, I unfortunately don't plan to return.
Food was exceptional.
Wonderful food and superb service.
Fabulous as always, so lucky to have this as a neighborhood restaurant
Great food. Acoustics would be difficult with a group.
We loved our first trip to Pammy’s! Everything was delicious, starting with the charcuterie board and mussels and ending with dessert. Our entrees included the lumache with Bolognese sauce, bucatini with shrimp and gnocchi. The pasta is made in house, and the Italian dishes are full of rich flavors. We can’t wait to go back!
We eaten at pammy’s 4 times now and we are always treated to a fabulous cocktails and food. It’s a great place to bring friends so you can watch them be amazed over the meal too. The flower arrangements are always amazing and worth mentioning as one of the servers does them and the are the best I have ever seen anywhere and adds to the fun vibe of the place. One note to be aware of is there is a long family table you get seated at if you are Two or less in your party. I’ve never eaten at that table but would want to now ahead of time.
Unusual setting, exquisite food and service -- we have eaten around the world and this is an amazing place with a friendly neighborhood vibe. We will be back !!
We loved Pammy’s! Beautiful restaurant, good service, and outstanding food. Just a little loud, but we would definitely go back!
There’s a great ambiance here and the servers were very attentive. However, the portion sizes are tiny and the bucatini was literally drenched in oil. The risotto we got to start was delicious as was the bread but we got a huge side of judgement from the waitress when we requested more. The gnocchi was 20 dollars for maybe 8 or 10 pieces. The texture of the gnocchi was not good and the flavor was ok. I was really excited to try this place but was not impressed. I’m not sure that I would go back.
We thoroughly enjoyed a dinner for four at Pammy's. Although we were not seated for 45 minutes past our reservation. We chalk that up to the good time and great food the diners before us were having. An 8:30 pm reservation is late enough. We didn't get out until after 11pm. But the food was so delicious, we have forgiven them already. We had the bolognese, the pork, the skate and the gnocchi. The appetizers were equally fun to taste and the desserts were scrumcious! Highly recommend for a special evening but, book early to get a better reservation time.
The food was phenomenal and our server was amazing. Very friendly staff that is super knowledgeable about the menu. We had the octopus and ribs to start, bucatini for our main, and the zeppole for dessert - all suggestions from our server and all delicious! Will definitely be back to Pammy's again soon!!
Pammy's is a lovely restaurant. The aesthetic is beautiful. Our service was great. Food was amazing with the exception of 1 dish, which is why I wouldn't rate 5 stars. We had the rib appetizer, as well as the risotto. The meat fell right of the bone. And the risotto was unbelievably flavor. Portion sizes were small, so it was good that we got 2 starters. My wife had the pistachio, shrimp pasta dish and it was delicious. So much flavor. A nice touch of heat. I had the pork chop. A nice sized portion that allowed for left overs, but it was fairly salty. The salad on top was just arugula and onion. So that was a little disappointing. Everything other dish made your eyes open at how good it was, but the pork chop did not live up to that. Still good, but I wouldn't get it again.
I had heard about Pammy's from many friends, especially for it's outstanding list of affordable unique wines by the bottle. My food items were superb. My friend was disappointed in one of her items, the deep-fried soft shell crab which she felt was too breaded and unattractively presented. The service is excellent and the atmosphere is fun although too loud when the restaurant is full. The wine list is indeed outstanding: a really well "curated" list for thoughtful wine lovers (ie not those just buying the big names). I checked Very Good Value, not Outstanding because the plates are on the small side. But for genuine foodies, that's the way it should be. After all, it is an Italian cooking oriented restaurant. Italy is a big country with many cuisines. It's not all pasta plates piled high with tomato sauce. I think Pammy's is one of the best "foodie" restaurants in the Boston area. Highly recommended.
From cocktail through starters, main course and dessert, everything was delectable and beautifully prepared. The service was exceptional. We’re always impressed at the quality of the experience at Pammy’s and consider it our favorite dining choice in Cambridge.
I love Pammy’s. The shrimp bucatini was a dish like no other. The crab appetizer was also just amazing. Where it fell short for me was the fact I felt slightly rushed. We had let Ryan know it was my birthday and we wanted time in between the appetizers and the entrees. The food came out so fast in between despite being told otherwise. It also felt like our dishes were cleared very quickly even to the point that we still had a bit left in the dish and we were taking our time and they tried to take our dish. It wasn’t even that crowded for them. There’s efficient service and theirs being rushed. My feeling was slightly rushed. I will return but my experience -esp for my birthday dinner fell a tad short
I love my shrimp pasta dish, the skate was excellent, everyone enjoyed their food and service was great. We will definitely come back.
WOW. Great food, great atmosphere, great cocktails, and great service. The octopus appetizer was one of the best dishes I've ever tried.
Great experience! Awesome good, nice ambiance, super friendly staff. Would definitely recommend!
The food and cocktails were beautifully presented, and the food was outstanding. I had soft shell crab and potato gnocchi with peas, both absolutely delicious. The service was friendly, attentive, welcoming. My new favorite.
The starters and cocktails were wonderful! The mains we had were on the salty side. If we go back we’d probably just stick with the starters or small plates for the meal.
Son flew in from CA and this is his favorite restaurant in Boston.
Tiny portions. Tiny tables.
Myself and my husband live nearby and love this place. The staff are friendly and the food is some if not the best in Boston.
The soft shell crab is a seasonal favorite and simply wonderful!
Booking is essential.
Get Rich behind the bar to make you an old fashioned not on the cocktail menu but absolutely beautiful!
We will miss this place when we leave Boston!
Some dishes were great--fresh, creative and flavorful. Others missed the mark. The terrible acoustics didn't bother me--its akin to any loud NYC restaurant. Unusually well designed for a Boston restaurant so the ambience and crowd were great. The food is way too expensive for what it is. For $200 for 2, I probably won't be back. But overall I enjoyed it. Just not great value.
Pammy's was absolutely delicious. The venue is light, airy and one-of-a-kind. Our waiter, Ryan G excellent. He was was super knowledgeable and funny. The lamb chops were some of the best ever.
Cozy place, nice decor, the food was delicious! First time there, definitely we’ll be back!
Pammy’s never disappoints! The ambiance, warm and inviting service and incredible food makes Pammy’s a wonderful place to dine at time and time again.
Amazing meal. Atmosphere is great!
Amazing across the board! Great service, delicious food!
Another of many delectable meals in a lovely setting and served by a warm, engaging, and knowledgeable server.
The best restaurant experience (food, service, ambiance) in Boston and Cambridge area. They take a new twist on Italian food and are extremely conscious about all the details that matter in a dining experience.
It is always a transformative experience being at Pammy’s. Our all time favorite!
Overall everything was great!
Outstanding food & service. We ordered bucatini, skate, gnocchis and bluefin tartare and octopus appetizers. The bucatini was a little oily but still tasted great
Went for my sister’s birthday and everything was amazing! Will definitely be back.
Amazing food amazing selection of wine from the wine director. Service for food was terrible she was not existent food took forever to come then it all came at once. Desert never came was offered a different dessert as an apology and still the desert we ordered never came. We took the check and left. Very rare experience here as we have always had exceptional service.
