We had a good time. We were a party of six and the staff did everything they could to accommodate us. The restaurant was late to seat us for our reservation but acknowledged it on their own and more than amply made up for it with an appetizer, sides and dessert on the house. We thought it was a kind gesture and it went a long way in making us feel valued. Between us, we got the duck, the casarece, bucatini, branzino and the specialty pasta with truffle - the food was exquisite. I very much recommend the restaurant and will be back.
There's one, four-letter word to describe Pammy's.
Wait for it.
Creative, interesting food, excellent cocktail and wine lists, super service and really fun dessert options.
But the noise level made conversation, even between two people seated across from each other, just WAY too difficult.
Granted, this was a Saturday night between 8:00 p.m. and 10:00 p.m., and we were seated near three banquettes of six people each, but the sheer noise level makes me unlikely to return anytime soon.
The ambience was perfect, the specialty drinks superb and the food was delicious.
Pammy’s did not disappoint - the food was delicious and perfectly portioned, and the service was extremely attentive. We never refilled our wine or water glasses ourselves because the staff beat us to it. Can’t wait to go back!
Amazing home made pasta and beautiful cozy atmosphere
quite good friendly service excellent waiter.
pricey place but would eat there again.
food and service were very good. Quality exceptional. Almost perfect. The only thing I would change would be to inform guests of the price of any non-menu specials. Not doing so puts the guest in an awkward position of having to ask or order blindly. While the special was delicious, a $45 price tag for a few ounces of pasta colored the entire experience. Sure I could have asked, but I shouldn't be forced to. With the level of detail that went into all other aspects of the restaurant, it's hard to think it was not a conscious choice. If you're not aware that it's awkward.... well, now you know.
Fantastic as always!
Everything was amazing!
Fun, festive and very delicious! The raw Brussels sprouts are a gem. Good tunes, not too loud, and a warm and twinkling ambiance were perfect compliments to a really excellent meal. The only let down was dessert - 2 coffee-flavored choices and some sorbets... ended up skipping the sweets. Still, a first-rate meal!
Pammy’s ambience is so perfect for a dat- lively but wuiet enough, food is great and menu specials are always surprising. I also love their wine service and how knowledgable all the wait staff is about the selections.
Pammy's was a comfortable dining experience, but we were a little disappointed in a couple of items. One of us ordered the Bolognese pasta but asked that the heat of the spice be cut since we didn't care for it and thought it takes away from the taste of the food. However, the pasta was still very hot and not what we wanted. We ordered the pork main dish, but were surprised that it was breaded and fried, like wiener schnitzel in Germany. It wouldn't be our first choice.
The wines by glass are over priced. The wine list by bottle was also high. It's really disappointing that restaurants in the US charge so much for drinks. We have been spoiled by our stays in Italy, Spain, and France.
The Malfadine pasta dish was superb. The service was excellent.
The menu was quite limited. We're not sure that the food lived up to the ambience or the hype.
Food had great moments - raw Brussels, crudo, shrimp pasta - but some not so great. Chicken dish ok, schnitzel was too oniony and garlicky, overwhelming a tasty cutlet.
very disappointed in the food. The pork milanese breading was filled with garlic and my son couldnt eat it.
My husband and I both had severe heartburn during the night and the next day. Not sure what could have been the cause of that.
At the group table, the experience doesn’t lend itself to a leisurely experience, especially considering how wonderful the food is.
Fantastic food and drinks. Staff is friendly and attentive. Stefani drink was great. Antipasti was great. Shrimp pasta was out of this world. Espresso ice cream was delicious. A superb meal.
Outstanding kitchen and service.
Creative cuisine, flavorful, tasty and great presentation.
Nice modern twist to Italian cuisine incorporating seasonal flavors.
Mussels with squid ink arancini balls are a must.
Octopus dish is always wonderful.
Menu is great for all tastes: From veggies to fish (branzino) to meat (pork milanesa) were all great.
Ambiance is a bit loud but worth it. Very energetic.
Everything was fantastic! From awesome staff (Pammy herself, bartender, server) to ridiculous craft cocktails to insane food to the decor / ambiance...even the bathrooms are cool. Worth the treat.
Superb food!!! Interesting combinations of flavors and textures that come together deviously.
Amazing restaurant, dishes and ambiance! Must-go!!
Our dinner for 3 at Pammy's was awesome! We sat right by the fire and enjoyed premium cocktails and excellent food - above all was the service. Our server did a great job of "reading the table" and truly provided us with excellent service while not making us feel at all bothered or interrupted. As an ex-server I know how difficult that can be - it is a true art form! Thank you to everyone at Pammy's for making our dinner so incredibly special but also for providing us the time and space to catch up with one another.
Had an amazing time! Everything was delicious, our server Blake was fantastic and knowledgeable, and we will definitely be going back soon.
When eating food at Pammy's, it is advisable to pick up a little bit of everything off your dish, close your eyes and take a bite. The chefs are obviously experts when it comes to mixing flavors -- it's heavenly. Also do not be afraid to sit at the communal table if you have a party of two. The way the table is arranged -- it never felt like we were sharing a table with other people at all -- it felt private.
Excellent and original food preparations, high quality ingredients, lively and buzzy environment. Staff was exceptionally attentive and enthusiastic with a real passion for wine and great advice. A great addition to Cambridge's dining scene.
Outstanding on all fronts! Tremendous and courteous staff. I was part of a large party at the end of the night. Everyone was thoroughly pleased to see us, help us with bags/coats, wanted to make sure we were happy and comfortable throughout the meal. The barkeep is wonderful. I highly recommend the Negroni on tap. The food is amazing. Because I was part of such a party I was able to sample lots of items. The octopus: amazing. The sweetbreads: incredible. The pasta w/rabbit: heaven. I could go on and on. You should just go!
I love going to Pammy's. It's quickly become our special occasion place, and I feel like everything is so thoughtful there, both in terms of the food and the atmosphere. Can't wait to go back!
Wow, Pammy’s is fabulous! We had a perfect experience on our first visit. Every bite of food was wonderful. No wonder Bon Appetit raved about how much they enjoyed their visit. The Veal Osso Boucco
Bruchetta is amazing! Each course simply added to the enjoyment. The noise level is pretty loud, but
It didn’t interfere with our conversation . Pammy’s is perfect for a special occassion
Staff very friendly and helpful. Good vibe, but a little hard to hear conversation. Disappointed in pasta dish.. too many ingredients. Overwhelmed shrimp.
We had a very good experience. Service was awesome, really enjoyed cocktails, and menu was perfect. Will be back definitely!
It was wonderful. The food was delicious. our server was knowledgeable and friendly. It was a bit expensive so good for special occasions
Amazing food but be prepared to wait, even if you have a reservation. Our party of 4 was seated almost an hour after our reservation time!
Our first visit to Pammy's did not disappoint. Service, Drinks, Food and Ambience made for a perfect and much-needed date night.
Even though it was a packed house for a Saturday evening at 8:00 pm, the hostesses were incredibly thoughtful and attentive and service throughout the night was helpful and pleasant. It was standing room only when we arrived 25 minutes early but were still seated about ten minutes prior to our reservation.
To start the night our cocktails hit the spot. My wife's negroni left me with drink envy - one of the best I've tasted - but the "Spanish Steps" was a quite refreshing campari-based cocktail in its own right. You'd be surprised how easy it is to mess up a Negroni, but they absolutely nailed the ratios of gin: vermouth: campari.
The food was outstanding, thoughtfully presented and prepared. We ate octopus, mussels, bucatini, branzino, and tiramisu finisher. Everything was outstanding from beginning to end, served perfectly piping hot (except for the Tiramisu, which would just be weird). Also, the Chef's homemade bread is something I would willingly disregard my gluten sensitivity for on a daily basis. I wish I had thought to ask for more with the mussels which were so delicious that I wound up eating the broth with a spoon. Wine was also solid with strong showings in the bottles and also a quite serviceable menu for by-the-glass drinkers.
The inside of the restaurant was cozy, warm and inviting, and quirky enough to be interesting but not so quirky as to be distracting. As with the food, thoughtful.
Great meal. Did was amazing! We have been there several times but tonight’s menu was great. One meal came out late but they took it off the bill which was the right thing to do. Will return!
The food was delectable: interesting, novel flavors that were somehow also comfortable, all perfectly prepared and well presented. The service was excellent: just the right amount of friendliness, attentiveness and skill. And the decor and ambiance were elegant and cozy. Strongly recommend Pammy's for anyone looking for a truly lovely evening.
Every dish was delicious. The service was relaxed and efficient. Sophisticated, but not stuffy atmosphere. This is our favorite restaurant in Boston. In fact, we accidentally overstayed the customary time for a reservation and kept the next customers waiting, which we felt badly about, but it was because we lost track of time! It's easy to do at Pammy's. Such an exceptional restaurant.
Amazing but the communal table really sucks and takes away from the experience.
We love this place!! It has the perfect ambiance in addition to fantastic food. We have been there several times and have never had a bad meal. Everyone that works there is so nice and helpful.
It's gotten so popular that it's hard to get a reservation, but it's worth the wait.
I am so glad that there is a restaurant like this near us.
Beautiful decor. Excellent and imaginative food and outstanding service. It has gotten so popular that reservations far in advance are necessary. Noise level is a bit high.
