I was so excited that I was able to get a reservation so last minute! We loved sitting at the communal table. The bartender made us fantastic drinks. We weren't huge fans of the unagi but everything else was ordered was outstanding. We got to meet Pammy on our way out which totally made our night. We will definitely be back, especially for that drink!
We came in on a Friday night and had a table by the window. We loved the ambiance, decor, and the service was outstanding. I had a cocktail and my wife had some wine, all of which was perfectly paired with our meal with the help of our server. We had the octopus (most tender, well cooked octopus we’ve had), the bucatini and the duck. Gracious serving sizes and they hit all the right notes. We’ll be back.
Attractive restaurant, you’re packed in, though, and it’s pretty noisy. The mussels and skate were very good, but the cavatini with anchovies were too oily. We would have had to wait 20 minutes for the dessert to cook, so we took a pass. Service very attentive and staff pleasant.
A few members of our party were stuck on the T and we’re going to be late. Pammys did their best to accommodate us and we ended up at a hi-top table instead of in the dining Room which totally didn’t matter. Same friendly service same great menu and we were so happy they accommodated our situation. Delicious wine too!
Food was great and the service just the same. Would love the option of half portions so we could try more of the pasta/mains, but everything we had was good. Fantastic Italian wine too!
Simply the best. The negroni is life changing and every dish i've tried i've loved. Pasta cooked to al dente perfection
Lovely service, outstanding food, and a perfect natural wine for every dish. Everyone is so warm and the space is so homey yet refined and oozes style and class. My only regret is that I didn’t have room for any more food.
Creative, delicious food and cocktails. Ambiance was wonderful, helped in part by the stylish decor. Only disappointment was that our choice of wine wasn't available and the bottle we did order was good but not fantastic value for money. But will be back for more!
Excellent food and ambience. Service was fantastic as always. I highly recommend the duck dish or any of the pasta dishes. One of the best restaurants in Boston.
Great experience, food was excellent, drinks a little slow but the place was busy so to be expected. Will look forward to going back sometime, really a tremendous dining experience!
The food is so unique and has such high quality flavors
Charming ambiance, delicious food with unique flavor and texture combinations, nice knowledgeable service, they do not rush you.
Second foray here- it takes that long to get reservations, after all. This time it worked to find a time _after_ theatre/movie, although the place was packed to the gills when we wandered in for our 9:30 cover. We helped close the place at midnight, after polishing off a whole slew of choices, all of which were delightful. The plates are honest, if a bit pricey, with a slight nod to pretension, although with a wink, not a smirk. The place is small, and loud, sometimes from the music, more often from the crowd. It's a sad fact that when a place becomes loud, it takes a louder voice to be heard, so most people end up screaming at each other here. Then again, there are worse caverns of din. Let the food speak for itself.
The food was unique and good. I had the sweetbreads with grits. The breading on the sweetbreads overpowered the meat's delicate flavor. The duck and pork dishes were good. The bread pudding was excellent and worth the wait. I went on a Saturday night and while the atmosphere was lively and fun, it was too loud for me. I'm glad I went but I wouldn't go back as I felt it was too loud and expensive for the quality of the food.
We were pleasantly surprised to learn that counter seating really meant seating at the communal table. Open table needs to find a way to better handle this issue.
Loved the food, loved the vibe. Nick our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. It is best to go here as a couple. More chances of getting in. Can’t wait to go back. Loved the Brussels sprout salad - a little lemony. Loved the American unagi. Had skate and shrimp pasta dish. Both great layered textures. Portions are not huge. Can’t wait to go back.
From the moment we stepped into this Parisian Victorian throwback, I knew Pammy's was going to be a different experience. A strip of vases filled with flowers graced a long farm table, while crystal orbs which were once Paris street lamps twinkled at us from above.
The food surprised us with tastes we could not decipher, from pasta and shrimp with an umami sauce and crunchy noodle mixed in with soft ones. The mussels were delicious as was the cod. The Brussels salad shaped in a circular mold was eggy and delicious as well.
Last came the bread pudding. Fab as well! Thanks for treating us to such a delightful evening. We will definitely be back!
The food and service were great, but the restaurant was far too loud to enjoy our experience as we would have liked.
Really great food but really small portions!
We had a wonderful first time dining at Pammy's. Warm and inviting and the staff goes out of their way to make you feel at home. We loved the menu. So many wonderful choices and interesting flavor combinations. We had the Crispy Sweetbreads to start. Unlike any other sweetbreads I have had before. The grits make the dish and the sweetbreads were tender and delicious. We also had the Mussels with Kaffir Lime broth and Squid Ink Arancini. Delicious! Mussels were local from Chatham and nice and meaty. For the entrees we had Pork Milanese and one of the pasta dishes Casarecce with Wild Mushrooms, Swiss Chard and French Butter Pears. My husband enjoys foraging for mushrooms and appreciated the maitake mushrooms in the mix. And we topped it all off with a wonderful Bread Pudding! We look forward to returning again to Pammy's.
We'll be back soon. The food was outstanding, and so was the service. It is a beautiful restaurant, relaxing, aesthetically pleasing, elegant without being pretentious.
Good excellent, from warmed dishes to interesting wine
Noise level too high but otherwise great
GreT anniversary dinner. Always a great place to be.
Awesome as always! Really quite exceptional!! Great food and service! Thanks always for a great dining experience!
Every dish more delicious than the last. Terrific sense of cozy, elegant intimacy. Just hope they stay in the neighborhood, as the talent in the kitchen is first class.
Wonderful neighborhood feel with expertly prepared food. The mussels appetizer was superb as was the duck entrée (best cooked duck breast I've ever had). The tables are a bit small so seating can be cramped but the staff is extremely helpful and inviting, making the overall experience great. If available, get the bread pudding for dessert - exceptional. Can't wait to return.
Awesome! I’ve been here several times and it’s always great. The bar tenders are really great!
The food is truly outstanding.
A beautiful and comfortable space but way too much undisciplined "concept." Simplifying and sharpening flavors might help. More important to raise preparation skills. Two different fish main courses were cooked to the consistency of custard.
I had put in my reservation that it was my anniversary, but no one asked or mentioned. In addition, my in-laws called to surprise us and pay for our meal but somehow there was a disconnect and husband and I paid.
We had a wonderful dining experience. The food was wonderful and the service was exceptional.
The food and the service were excellent!
Amazing food! Definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Boston. Ambiance is excellent.
Best restaurant in Boston!
So good, all of it. Fun wine list, inventive menu, great service, delicious cocktails, charming dining room.
Sry good and fast service. Food was excellent, small portions, but gave you a chance to sample more.
First time there. Beautiful interior. Food was creative and delicious!
Continues to be my favorite restaurant in Cambridge/Boston. They don't have a bad item on their menu, and their service is impeccable.
The staff was so friendly, very well educated on the menu! The ambience was amazing and the food was delicious, I can't wait to go back!
Food was delicious. Our servers were very nice and helpful. I really like the decor.
2 things I would have to say are: the noise level is VERY high. Music was loud which makes things worse because people have to speak up in order to be heard. Not a good place for a date. Even though our meal was delicious, it was very expensive. Overpriced I would say...
Love this place! The ambiance is lovely, the food is delicious, they have a cute fireplace and bar. The service is also great. Only downside is that its a little bit pricey but honestly worth it!
Pammy's decor echoes the trendy California Cool we see in contemporary magazines with a mixture of potted plants, brass fixtures, and wood/tile furniture. The staff gives full descriptions of the food and wine menus. The food itself showcases a new blend of rich and savory with a strong value on salt to enhance flavor. The brussels starter reflects an innovative twist on a classic American favorite. You pay for what you get: Luxurious food.
