Parkside District - Atlanta
Waitress was excellent. My husband wanted more lobster in his lobster roll
Very nice spot for having food and drinks with friends.
Second time dining here. Only disappointment was that the octopus appetizer is a seasonal item and wasn’t on the menu this time. It’s delicious! Shrimp & Grits are amazing!
We were seated at 7:52pm and were not greeted until 8:18pm. While I had wonderful company with me to pass the time, that is a ridiculous wait to be greeted. Everything else was fine, my steak had an enormous strip of grizzle attached to it which ended up being about 20% of the steak itself, which I did not eat. The drinks were great and so was the dessert. Street corn was amazing as well. Overall it was lacking in what I expected.
The Gouda Grit Fritters were collectively the best appetizers we have ever had. Entrees were great, portion sizes were large, and the banana pudding dessert was the perfect way to finish off the meal. We left here excited about the next opportunity to come back!
My only negative was the table was fairly small given the amount of food for four, but the rest of the experience made up for it!
Me, my husband, and daughter had a great birthday celebration. The gumbo risotto and chicken marsala was perfection!
Parkside District is my favorite date night restaurant in Gwinnett County!
Great food, service started off slow but we enjoyed our time over all.
We have eaten at Parkside numerous times. This was the first time we sat in the atrium area. It gave a nice feel. Our server was attentive, food was very good but took a little while to come out. Given this was early evening and the place was not busy the entrees seemed to take a bit longer than expected. Overall a very good experience; prices are still pretty steep. I hope Parkside is around long term. Best food in the area.
Very nice farm to table restaurant, the food was delicious and since it was a business meeting, the quiet ambience was very nice. The others at the table were from downtown Atlanta and were very impressed with the restaurant. The service was excellent and friendly. I will be returning to try out their Sunday Brunch.
We ordered two drinks, two appetizers, two burgers and one dessert.
What we got was two drinks, one appetizer, two burgers (that sat in the pass for over 8 minutes while they remade one of our sides), the missing appetizer just as we finished our burgers, and two desserts.
They said they'd not charge us for dessert since the appetizer was so late, but they did charge us for the extra dessert we didn't order.
The cucumber collins was tasty! I loved the watermelon appetizer, easily the best bite of the night. The brussels sprouts appetizer was not crispy, as it was saturated with an over sweet chili glaze. The burgers might have been outstanding if we'd gotten them fresh. The corn salad was tasty. The cornbread dressing was too sweet. The banana pudding dessert was good. The red velvet bread pudding was divine, not too sweet but rich and delicious.
We have been coming to this restaurant for a couple of years and time after time it does not disappoint! The service and the level of attention is spot on. The food is delicious and beautifully plated! I highly recommend!
I had the lobster roll. I enjoyed it after I removed the shaved celery, too chewy. My wife had the crispy salmon. It was really tasty. Too much smashed potatoes and parsnips. I liked the caramelized brussel sprouts. She's not a fan.
My husband and I went there for our anniversary dinner. The hostess was aware of our special occasion and wished us happy anniversary. She complimented my attire and immediately seated us. The waiter was prompt and attentive. Everything beverage and dinner course was savory and delicious. We will definitely visit Parkside District again.
Excellent service. Great brunch menu.
Delicious food. Portion to price is a bit high. Great specialty bar drinks, not a light pour which is important when you're paying that price.
Manuel was our server and he was great.
Very good meal. We will go there again.
The food was delicious! We had 6 in our group and everyone enjoyed their appetizers and entrees. The food was flavorful and nicely presented. We will definitely be back!
My Ladies Lunch Bunch so enjoyed our meal at Parkside District. A couple of them remarked that the restaurant would be perfect for celebrating special occasions. The menu prices would be a hindrance for frequent visits, but the food is so good that I would save up to come again!! Thank you for a great experience, good food, & great service!
The days of feeling at home at a Restaurant when out of town on business are seemingly over. I had hoped my visit to Parkside would break the cycle of this trip to the ATL area but was disappointed.
They have a nice selection of dishes on the menu, but what I selected came out different than the expectations; over prepared, salty and over priced. Simple charred oysters were thickly topped and hidden with cheese so much the oyster flavor was lost. A fried green tomato caprese salad was a mess, not even sure how the chef ever created that dish; over cooked with breaded tomatoes and mismatched toppings did not come close to a caprese-like dish.
I still hope for some friendly conversation when dining alone, sitting at the bar while on a business trip. The service was there but lacked any connectivity to the guest. I probably would have been better off ordering something from Uber Eats.
My husband and I were in area for work and found Parkside District on line. It lived up to the reviews. The atmosphere was welcoming . Our server was knowledgeable and most helpful. The fried green tomatoes were amazing! I had an Atlanta Mule ,it was refreshingly crisp. My husband enjoyed a local brewery draft beer ( they had an extensive selection) . We ordered the shrimp and grits. The grits were creamy but not too heavy. The shrimp was perfectly cooked- sweet and succulent. We indulged in the banana pudding for dessert- yum. Highly enjoyed our dinner and look forward to visiting again !
Nice ambiance from the moment we walked in. The host was very friendly and seated us immediately according to our reservation. Temperature was a little warmer in a certain area we were sitting but overall great experience will come back and try it out for Dinner. We came for Brunch time. And our server Stephanie was very attentive!
Slow service but she was nice. Brought wrong order but otherwise good food
The mussels were delicious. The sauce had red peppers and bacon... so good! The shrimp and Gouda grits... yes please, give me more. Overall good experience. Server was good at the beginning but disappeared for awhile. We would of order another glass of wine but decided we had better get our check while we had the chance.
Great food, great service. Loved the Banana Pudding.
One of the waitstaff was cleaning the table adjacent to our booth and left the cleaning spray bottle on the partition directly behind my guest head along with the dirty rag. This person obviously doesn't have the right acumen for a restaurant of your caliber. Plus the service host needs a good bit of training to cater to the public and bring up her "a" game!!!
A hidden gem nestled in Lawrenceville. Awesome food and service. Definitely coming back.
This is our go to when eating out locally. Lately, it seems like they are always out of one or two things that we try to order. The service has also declined. Previously our waiters obviously had fine-dining experience. The past couple of visits they get our orders wrong, forget to bring drinks from the bar, ask if we want appetizer plates - then never bring them, etc.... We typically spend around $150 for a family of 3 so I would expect more from the waitstaff. The food is good and we love the selection of seafood starters (calamari, oysters, octopus, mussels...)
If your dining for 2 then be prepared to be seated at a small table. The ambiance is fantastic! I had the rib eye and collard greens. The greens were really tasteful and my steak could have cooked longer and the taste was average. The drinks are excellent as well.
In general the food was good. However, the service was very slow even though the restaurant wasn't full.
We waited for our entree for about an hour and the waiter not even check on us to let us know about the delay.
Nice decoration/ environment
Terrible service...we waited for aprox 1 hr to be served and the waitress seemed to “accept” the situation...
I was really looking forward to dining at Parkside but I must say the slow service ruined my brunch. We were seated at 1:30 PM but didn't receive our food until 2:45 PM. We did order an appetizer but also ordered our food right after and with 2 adults and 2 children food shouldn't take that long to prepare. Our dishes weren't complicated and the restaurant wasn't full. I do want to give Parkside another chance one day.
Slow, inattentive service capped off what was an all around disappointing experience for Father’s Day.
Appetizers were decided upon and prefer within 10 minutes of being seated. Yet they weren’t served until almost 40 minutes later (crispy Brussels sprouts and crispy calamari). Both were lacing in flavor and execution. The Brussels Sprouts were tough and skimpy on the sauce, the calamari was rubbery, flavorless and full of breading on the plate (instead of actual calamari). Just an all around fail for two appetizers that were winners a mere4 weeks ago.
What was previously the star of the brunch menu for my family, French toast, has been turned into a run of the mill bore that has us all pretty let down. They used to be crunchy oversized French toast sticks. Now they are soggy boring triangles like what you’d find on any other brunch menu. Sadly, we weren’t warned of the change by our server. Hubby didn’t even finish his plate, as it was just not very good.
My scallops and grits was small and bland, especially compared with the delight that it was a mere 4 weeks ago. I wasn’t even tempted to finish my bowl. The grits are usually bursting with the flavor of smoked Gouda, I’m not even sure they remembered to add it to this batch.
In case it isn’t clear, we had Mother’s Day brunch at Parkside this year, and the food was great. And even though my family got sick from the French toast, we went back because we’ve always had great experiences at Parkside and it’s a family favorite. After today’s experience, were on the hunt for a new brunch spot that will have something for everyone like Parkside did. I hope they figure things out soon, but something is definitely off with management lately.
We are lucky to have a place like Parkside in Lawrenceville. It has a Decatur square vibe in our own back yard. Service was wonderful. Food was delicious! Lauren was our server and not only gave us great recommendations but amazing service.
I am paying for food/experience and I expect a level of customer service, but I think I might need to change my expectations on service these days. Staff need more training, to discern things without having to be a “manager.” To me service isn’t just about smiling and being polite, but using critical thinking. The seating arrangement seems intrusive, like I could easily be a part of the other party’s conversation— just too close for comfort. Had a party of 4, including a person who was tall and didn’t fit comfortably where we were originally seated. I had to ask for a booth. With that being said, the food tasted good and portion was appropriate.
3rd visit, great food, atmosphere and service. Will visit again.
Excellent food. I've eaten at a lot of great places in ATL but Parkside WOW'd our whole group, one course after another. I will definately be back!
We took friends who had never gone before. We requested a booth and it was wonderful. The appetizers were all yummy and nothing was a disappointment. The drinks were good sized so that was a good value. Only my husband could clean his plate – we took home leftovers. The whole evening was excellent and we will definitely be back!
Such an amazing meal! We loved every aspect! The food, atmosphere, drinks, all of it was awesome!
best food we have ever eaten. service was impeccable. anniversary dinner and they made the experience amazing
