Pasta portions were small, and the menu is super random. Good wine list. It was also freezing inside i had to leave my coat on through dinner.

It was a jovial evening, from the moment we walked in to the moment we departed. We came for the boat parade but we will be back to experience lunch and brunch. We had cocktails and wine, pasta, ribs, chicken and more pasta. The menu is creative. Too full for dessert but we'll plan better next time! The staff was friendly and very competent even though they were bustling on this very busy evening. The food was timed just right, from cocktails to appetizers to entrees. We'll be back!

It’s a nice, casual restaurant in a somewhat odd location. The setting is relaxing with an ever-changing view of the estuary and passing boats. It surprised us that this restaurant wasn’t that full. We enjoyed quite a few different food & drink items.

I got lost trying to get to Alameda. Don't give me a map, I may eat it. Sorry that I didn't make it. Have tried to email you. but keep getting mail sent back as undeliverable. I would love to go again. but need good directions on how to get there. Please tell this restaurant that I am sorry. But I will go again

The food and drinks were delicious. However the service was not that great. There was no person at the front so customers had wait until a waiter happened to walk by and seat them. The time between sitting and getting our drinks ordered was 15 minutes. Overall, it's a very nice place and the food was excellent but make sure you have patience if you eat here.

My go to pasta restaurant! It's been around for many years, and still the best for me. They have very creative pasta dishes I find very yummy , better than more expensive Italian eateries. Love their bread, and dessert favorite is the apple pie a la mode, with lots of candied walnuts! Service is great. Waiters are attentive, and friendly.

I worked here back in the 80's when it was the Rusty Pelican. The pasta was delicious! We had a wonderful time. I miss the colorful place.

Such a great restaurant! I completely fell in love with this restaurant and I believe it'll become our new "usual" since we just moved into Alameda. Home-y feels, comforting and delicious food, quick and friendly service, we couldn't have picked a better restaurant for our anniversary!

Ordered soup and it was not bought out before our dinner, had to ask about it before the server remembered to bring it to the table and then asked if we still wanted it. Finally got the soup after we were more than 1/2 way done with our entree. Server did not come back to the table to check on us. It wasn't until 15 minutes after we were done with our meal that the server came back. Never asked if we needed anything. The restaurant was not busy and it just didn't seem like the server could handle the few tables that were occupied.

I don’t think they can handle a larger crowd. This was my second night visiting and my service was poor. My dinner guest and I were not seated for awhile even though a Table was open and we confirmed reservation. Upon closing the check it took forever to bring back change. During dessert was worse. It seemed like since we only ordered dessert we weren’t worth checking on. Not once did any waiter ask how our dessert was or even if my port was to my liking. Tonight was a mess. I am shocked.

My husband and I have been going to Pasta Pelican for about 19 years now and still to this day love to head there for all special occasions or even just the every day dinner. The food and the service/people are just the best and makes for a wonderful time every time! Already looking forward to the next time.

Unfortunately on the night we dined there the food was not what I expected. Some of the veg/fruit in salads were not ripe enough and a couple of our dishes were overly salted. They do have a beautiful view.

Carbonara with scallions??!!?! And I think it was ham - definitely not pancetta. Bolognese was just okay, not good. Wait staff were very kind and attentive. View was pleasant. Very nice table at windows. Value much better then JLS and just across the estuary. Will try again and order more simpler dishes.

Great restaurant on the waterfront from Alameda to Oakland. The pasta is good and the wine selection is good also. We celebrated my birthday here and couldn't ask for more, perfect place.

Nothing special about the food. Ordered a prosciutto carbonara. Don't think the chef knows what prosciutto is since I basically received ham cubes in my noodles. Cheap quality sauces. Everyone's pasta was over cooked. Tiramisu had the worst presentation of any desert I've ever ordered

The restaurant itself is very cute and has a beautiful view of the water. The food was very greasy and overseasoned. I might go back for a drink, just so I can sit on the water and watch the boats go by, but dinner was just too rich!

I go to Pasta Pelican frequently. This time I ordered a beet salad which was not quite what I expected. It was a green salad with four small slices of beet. It all tasted very good as the dressing was delicious. I had expected more beets so probably won’t order it again.
