Peking Garden Tsim Sha Tsui Star House
We were lucky to hear about Peking Garden Tsim Sha Tsui Star House from a tour guide. She told us about the Beggars Chicken and the story (or myth?) behind it. It sounded so intriguing that we just had to try it. We made the mandatory 24 hour in advance reservation to order the Beggars Chicken and it was well worth it! A cart was wheeled over to our table with the magnificatin crusted chicken. I was told to take their hammer and pose for a photo cracking the shell. Of course, the whole restaurant was watching! Then the server lit it on fire and then when the fire died down, he proceeded to carefully removed the shell to unlock the delectable chicken amidst a ton of steam. It was delicious! What an experience!
Peking Garden is a great choice for entertaining visitors to Hong Kong. The Peking Duck is delicious. My main reason for booking this restaurant is that you can order Peking Duck - either half or whole - from the menu; you do not have to pre-order Peking Duck, which is common at other restaurants.
Food was Ok, but we noticed a big insect in our food. No apologies by staff.
Great food. We all loved the cold Sichuan chicken. The beansprouts were also great. Not always easy to get attention of the waiters/waitresses.
Not easy to find this restaurant, we were actually told about it by people sitting next to us in another restaurant. We were really glad we did find it as the views from this restaurant are amazing and the food was really good as well.
Lousy food, unfriendly staff. Time and money are wasted.
Must do in Hong Kong
Food was good and presentation was very nice. Great location!!!
Table was not arranged on time at all and many customers were waiting to be served.
Yes for the view. No for the service and value for money.
Very disappointed with the Peking duck. The service was poor primarily due to complete lack of English. You pay big bucks and for this price food and service needs to be better,
