Pistache French Bistro
Prices are moderate and the recipes nutritionally healthy. Service is casual and efficient. The atmosphere is upbeat with a definite European flair. The interior is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, which defined most brasseries and bistros opened in 1920"s Paris. It boasts cozy seating with numerous red leather banquettes, a full bar and giant antique mirrors. The restaurant has a feel of "Always been there". It is classic, retro-modern and sophisticated but unpretentious.
The outdoor patio overlooks Centennial Park, the Fountains and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is shaded with large umbrellas and seats 30 people in a Riviera-like setting.

First server was rude. Food was not as advertised. But the maitre 'd was very accommodating and got us a new server and the food that I'd ordered. Despite her excellent reprisal, I would not recommend this place.
The food is always good. Service was very slow. The kitchen can't seem to keep up on busy days, like before matinees at Palm Beach Drama Works.
Crowded due to proximity to curtain time at adjacent theater but staff handled it with a smile.
We looked forward to an enjoyable evening dining. . Very disappointed to have been seated in the bar facing three TV’s, and no other seats available.
Delicious food, although the fries (usually delicious) were extremely overcooked and tasted old. Service was slower than usual on the patio...I think our waiter forgot we were out there.
beef bourguignon Was wonderfully prepared. Parsnip soup a pleasant surprise. Waitress was very accommodating to our requests. A very pleasant dinner with friends.
When we arrived for our reservation, the dining room was full and there was a large party in full swing. Hence it was noisy and service was a little slow.
The food was good but I think our entrees may have spent too much time under the lights.
I think the menu prices are a tad high which I know has stopped friends from trying Pistache.
By the time we left, the place was nearly empty. We thought about staying for the music but did not.
I requested patio view and was told that wasn’t available.
Been there several times for lunch and this was first time there for dinner on a Friday night. The place is packed, which is always an indication a place is generally good, and I have to agree. However because of the crowd and the noise level, it was hard to converse with my dinner-mates. Otherwise, this place is awesome!
Fabulous food in a lovely French atmosphere . I highly recommend dining here. We are still raving about our delicious meal. I had Chilean Sea Bass and my husband had the filet mignon and a French Onion Soup. To die for!
Food and service was excellent. We enjoyed a rose wine and salmon served over black rice with pea pods. We ate outside overlooking the park. The inside dining looked inviting, but was lively and too noisy for us. Would come again.
This was our third and last time going to this restaurant. The first time was good, the second time below average, but was Christmas Eve so we gave them a pass, this time was was out right poor. We went for a night they called in Provence. The only thing I could see Provençal about it were two bottles of overpriced rosé wine. I asked to see the wine list for more moderately priced rose. I picked one and she said it would be 20 minutes before it was chilled. I told her to bring the other one and the wine steward came out and said they were out of it. He then bumped me back up to the expensive rose. We decided on a different wine altogether. The restaurant was not busy but our waitress didn't come around forever. We asked for a new waitress and she was not much better. The food is good but not what you would expect from this caliber of restaurant. It is also very pricey.
We had a wonderful dinner with friends. We will go back again.
We enjoy everything about this restaurant except the dining room is always too cold. We
We’ve been there 3 times in the past 6 weeks-just the two of us, then another couple and last 3 of us to celebrate a birthday. Everyone thought it was too cool and we actually moved outside on the 9th.
That being said the cocktails were great, appetizers very good and the entrees were perfect. I’ve had the filet au poivre twice, exceptional. Also shank and chicken presentation was very good. Dessert was excellent as well. Definitely a favorite spot for us!
love this place! very romantic and food is excellent!
Go and enjoy. Take your friends and have a nice evening in town and an excellent meal.
Thank you, Thom!
Very accommodating with table preference. Fabulous desserts
Waitress was courteous and timely, but it took a long time for food to come out of the kitchen today. This is not a normal occurrence.
Friendly, helpful staff. Great brunch options. As I ate my Eggs Benedict, it occurred to me that every component was perfect. Quality ingredients prepared properly makes a big difference. I was sorry I didn't make it back for dinner, which is even better than brunch.
I went for a birthday celebration brunch with my three sisters and my step-daughter. We greatly enjoyed our menu choices and had a great time. Pistache has long been a favorite of mine and I'm sure my sisters will want to return the next time we have a "sisters weekend" in Florida.
Excellent as always
Great food and presentation. Easy to arrive with valet service. Great room and bar area. Somewhat crowded seating during "season". Nice overall experience.
Thank you, Bill!
Excellent food, we all had fish and it could not have been better. Service is impeccable.
my wife and i had a late lunch this past Sunday after the boat show. Great service, great food and a terrific server who was from France!!
Great vibe, great bar tenders that make drinks with a show and most importantly, AMAZING food.
Best French I’ve had in USA outside of expensive restaurants in NYC.
Pistache is great in so many ways. Most important is the team lead by Christian. In fact, his attention to detail and warm greetings makes it impossible to dine elsewhere when i'm in the area.
Thanks so much Jody! We love Christian!
I would like to thank the matre’d for changing our seat to dine outside. The noise level was high, our guest had hearing loss in one ear due to surgery..and it helped us very much. We had a 7 pm reservation for 4. I have been coming to Pistache for 11 years, but the noise is just over bearing.
Servers were great, but they were understaffed.
Always one of our go-to places in downtown WPB. This time was a little disappointing, but not bad. The international boat show was going on so this may have affected service.
Food always wonderful.
Went for brunch on Saturday afternoon. Omelette was very good. Service was friendly and efficient. Outside porch was relaxing.
Always a fine dining experience!
Love this place for its great location near the Dramaworks, its French bistro vibe, its great staff and, creative menu, and tasty meals. My favorite: steak au poivre. Also love the onion soup. Sit outside, if you can - not as noisy.
Nice, if somewhat pricey, food. Good service. I much prefer sitting on the veranda instead of inside, which tends to be dark. Menu is nicely varied; quality is consistent.
Food and service were great. The restaurant ambiance and decor were outstanding.
Recommending with a word of caution . Food very good but service terrible. Waitress had a surly attitude when asked about one of the entrees didn’t arrive with the others. The 4th person in our party sat without their order for 10min. Place larger than expected for a ‘Cafe’ so noise level very high. Request for an outside table when reservation made ignored. Not a place to go if wanting an enjoyable evening with friends as you’d have a very hard time hearing them!
We were there for brunch and walked in just as they were opening. We found our first choice for seating to be a little too air conditioned for us and we were quickly relocated to a table that better pleased us. The service was excellent and everything thing from the provided bread, the meals, and coffee were all better than expected. I had a crab omelette and my wife had their short rib hash. Both were exceptional.
Excellent food with great service. Restaurant can get noisy on a busy weekend night but would certainly recommend it
Great food. Can’t beat the nice breeze on the patio.
I was there for dinner Thursday night. The mussels were exceptional; that sauce is to die for! Had the steak frittes which was ok but expensive, in my opinion. So many frittes it was crazy. Our waitress, Eva, was wonderful and it's a cute environment. I would definitely go back for the mussels.
