Pistache French Bistro
Prices are moderate and the recipes nutritionally healthy. Service is casual and efficient. The atmosphere is upbeat with a definite European flair. The interior is reminiscent of the Art Nouveau, which defined most brasseries and bistros opened in 1920"s Paris. It boasts cozy seating with numerous red leather banquettes, a full bar and giant antique mirrors. The restaurant has a feel of "Always been there". It is classic, retro-modern and sophisticated but unpretentious.
The outdoor patio overlooks Centennial Park, the Fountains and the Intracoastal Waterway. It is shaded with overhead awning and seats 30 people in a Riviera-like setting.
Was much better than I remember . Yummy flavorful veggie platter. Friend loved his steak too.
Perfection couldn't fault a thing. Been here 50 times and will keep coming. You should also try PB Catch their sister restaurant on the lsland.
It was a terrible experience. The manager is extremely rude and unprofessional.
I have been to Pistache a few times before and not run into the problem we had on this visit - it was very loud. There was one table of 4 that was extremely loud. Another table asked them to quiet down, to no avail. At one point they left and we thought, YAY! It quieted down to a normal level of conversation. But a few min later they returned and so did the noise. Mgmt did nothing. We reported it on the way out. We were there to celebrate our anniversary so this made it a challenge.
The other point I'll make, OT asks if it's a special occasion. It was, which I noted in our reservation, but was not acknowledged at the restaurant.
The French Restaurant in Palm Beach County. I recommend it without hesitation or reservation.
Best experience I’ve had at a restaurant!!! This was the most amazing dining experience I’ve ever had and no I’m not on the payroll. We were quickly greeted and brought to our table. Kate was our waitress and she was such a delight. Definitely very knowledgeable about the food and wine pairing. Friendly and enthusiastic about the food she presented us. We started with the cheese and we picked 2 and Kate picked one and it was simple but delectable and Kate was on top of it and got more crustinis for us when she saw we were low. Didn’t even have to ask. We didn’t mind using the French bread that was on the table. It was soooo good! We had to control ourselves.
Also had the mussels that came in a wine sauce and the serving was huge enough for two people easily maybe even 3-4 if also ordering entrees. The mussels were exploding with freshness and were so meaty. Never had mussels that big TBH. Quite memorable. We were full after that and had to pass on entrees and got two more small plates. Escargot and salmon tartare I believe was the name. The salmon was a mix of smoked and raw salmon so the smoke wasn’t overbearing. It was served over a bed of avocado mousse and the cutest little potato chips on top. Inside and on the side were little bits of grapefruit that made for a party in my mouth. I would’ve never thought of putting that in there but it was perfect! Finished our meals with crepes for dessert and the pastry puffs that were covered with dark chocolate sauce. This was such a great experience already made plans to go back next weekend. Thank Kate, we will be looking for you next time. You were delightful and helped made our experience even more memorable. This should be a Michelin Star restaurant. I’ve been to some that tbh wasn’t as memorable as this restaurant.
Side note they have complimentary valet parking. This is nice because I almost parked at a meter in front of the restaurant and the meter said that car must be moved after two hours.
The food was very good and reasonably priced. Our waiter was also very attentive and personable. During the summer starting mid June they will have a buy an entree and get another entree free promotion if you dine early 5:30-6:30PM.
Excellent salad. Mussels simply the best. I had an interesting and delicious twist on coq au vin. My husbands steak frites was perfect. Had a terrific, not terribly expensive Boudreaux Waitress was very attentive and not pushy. Loved the meal!
wonderful authentic french restaurant. the filet au poivre was amazing and the grouper was equally divine. will be back ..
My wife and I just love the staff. Both Eva and Marlin especially. Profesional and helpful...we always enjoy our time there.
Great selection of French bistro cuisine with wonderfully innovative American classics. We dine here whenever we're in Palm Beach.
As usual, food was very good. My only complaint is nothing the restaurant can do anything about - namely the incredibly loud and bass-driven music being played by people hanging around the area. It continued throughout our entire meal.
Wish we had a real FRENCH bistrot like pistache in Miami! I lived in paris for 18 years and this is as close to a Parisian bistrot as possible with real FRENCH bistrot ambiance
It was an anniversary dinner. When we first arrived we were put at a table that was very close to another couple and in the clear path of every server that came by.
We asked for another and were quickly accommodated.
We were also greeted by our server who acknowledged a birthday.
Aside from those small issues, it was otherwise a very pleasant experience.
The food was excellent and we were not rushed although they were very busy.
great meal and experience
4 people at our table. the restaurant was very loud. both tables next to us were yelling. asked our server if she could do something about that and she had the manager speak to them.
the rest of the nite it was an excellent experience.
I made the reservations on open table but they had no record of it. We were there at 6:15 pm and they were out of one of the specials and also a popular beer.
Our experience was somewhat disappointing.
When we’re in town we always eat here. They were not on their game at our visit regarding the food. It was ok...the foie gras was pretty terrible. The mussels which are usually off the charts delicious were ok, needed more garlic and maybe salt( can’t believe I’m saying that :) the smoke salmon app was excellent, my husbands lamb was ok. Again under seasoned, my burger was great. Our server ,Marlin , the Bartender (?) - and host&/or manager were incredibly nice and were on pointe. Totally will return next time I’m in town
Our table was ready and waiting for our arrival. The waitress was aware we needed to be at the theater. We were not rushed but attended to, meeting our request to be out at 1:40.
The hot food was hot. The cold food was cold. All presented beautifully. Portions were fine. Bread was warm, butter just about ready to be applied!
Attentive service without being obtrusive.
A lovely luncheon experience.
Love this place!!
The soup was a bit too salty and not overly tasty. Tomato/Pea. Fish was delicious dessert wonderful.
We were offended when our waitress switched off of our table with no explanation. The new waitress never asked how our food was or if we wanted anything else...which we did.
My husband enjoyed his hamburger and chicken salad (that he took home). As a vegetarian, the options were not very good. The arugula salad was weak...two cherry tomatoes cut in half and cheese on top of the greens...that was it for $13. How about a few more tomatoes and maybe some fruit/other veggies or bring down the cost and make it a light salad. More veggie options would be nice.
Fantastic. Our group of 6 had a wonderful dinner. Each one of raved about the quality of the food. I can speak to the steak au poivre, which was a great cut of meat with an incredible sauce. Not that one was needed. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Excellent staff, ideal location, great food, and well worth a return visit.
We've eaten here many times for brunch before the theater. The food is usually good, the service fair.
I usually have an omelet, but decided to try something different this time. I ordered eggs benedict, a staple brunch item. One half muffin was burned, but with a perfectly cooked egg. The other muffin half was toasted properly, but the egg was totally overcooked, not one drop of delicious yolk ooze. So disappointing! I also ordered pommes frites, which were deliciously crispy, but must have been the last of the batch, most being one inch or less long.
Always have the octopus as an appetizer and never disappointed....... The Branzino was perfect......moist and well seasoned...... Did the special for desert.....Bananas Foster with Bread Pudding...... Not overly sweet and it was delicious...... Service was exceptional..... Always look forward to returning!
Not on a holiday! They had a brunch running until 3pm we showed up at 12:30 and they were already out of steak frites. We had to ask for bread, ask for butter later, ask for water, ask for refill of water. They asked us to place app, main course and desert order all together like a fast food place. When your paying about $300 for 3 people brunch the service should be impeccable and food as well. Thank god my mother in law and husbands dish was good because I ended up eating theirs as mine was not! Waitress never came to ask and she didn’t even notice I only had one bite of mine. Appetizers were very good and so was the filet and the 1 steak they were able to make for my mother in law. My short rib was a confused mash of flavors :/
Great way to celebrate Mother’s Day with a fabulous brunch! Everything was delicious!
Consistently great food, ambience is so good, wonderful wait staff. Our most favorite restaurant in this area!
Beautiful restaurant and beautiful experience! The lamb and beef stew was amazing! Loved the duck ravioli!!!
Good neighborhood spot and always guaranteed a good meal.
We really enjoyed our Sunday brunch. Service was excellent and food was very good.
Had no idea the Sunkist Festival was taking place across —turned a very nice restaurant into a bit of a zoo—if wanted dine with folks in tank tops and being loud I’d gone to the Irish bar down the street—food and service were great but leaving with a headache never a good experience
Not as crowded as usual, owing to nearby construction. A delightful place, conducive to talking.
We went to brunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We had a wonderful time. The food and service were excellent. We were not rushed at all. This was the second time I had been there and it never disappoints.
Great brunch. Have been here before but not for brunch. Delicious steak tar tar.
The food was delicious, especially the chicken & waffles! A little confusing getting there with all the toad construction....but worth it in the end.
Lovely place with food that's amazing. Definitely not your average WPB restaurant.
Food and service always excellent. This restaurant keeps getting better and. better.
Service was exceptional.Food was good slightly expensive.
Everyone had a wonderful time and had outstanding food
