Poquitos - Capitol Hill
very good service, cool place and attentive wait staff - we were there for early happy hour like 16:30 so not too crowded but food was good and drinks were value priced
We went in with reservation, were seated straight away. We asked for happy hour menu, then one of the male bald server said we don't serve happy hour in the main dining room and just left us. He could have asked us to move and we wouldn't mind. Instead he just left us and kept ignoring us. What a service!
We had a large party on Easter and were well accommodated. The food was great and our server was attentive and nice. We always have a great time at Poquitos!
The food was good, the service was o.k. Large restaurant with different seating options.
Easter brunch was fun & delicious!
Great design, open kitchen, pleasant staff. The food was really good except it was so oversalted I couldn't eat it. Same was true for my dinner partner.
I would give them a higher rating except for this. It would be easily fixed, let the diner do the salting!
Great that we could pop in here on a busy Sunday with a large group and not have a wait at all. Our server was a joy and the food was delicious.
I remembered Poquitos breakfast from wow-ing me with their breakfast taco truck at Bacon, Eggs, and Kegs...and my first time to the restaurant for brunch didn't disappoint. I'll certainly be back for the chilaquiles...but probably with a smaller group. The noise level made it hard to hear everyone at a long table.
Loved this place, as a Latino family it is hard to find Mexican food we enjoy , however we had one of the best meals in Seattle here!
Great food and service with fun vibe. Guacamole is excellent, as are the fish tacos!
Vegetarian choices limited, food served cold, and used cheese to make up for decent cooking.
Excellent food! Try the carne asada with 2 sunny side up eggs. Incredible flavors from the sauce surfacing altogether! Definitely recommend to others to try it. I'll be back for more!
Great place in the heart of Cap Hill. Lively atmosphere, solid menu, good service and really good food. I recommend the mole pork chop. Only thing that kept me from a full 5 stars was the drinks seemed a little watered down to me. I had a marguerite and couldn't really taste any tequila. Other than that it was great.
We love poquitos and come here all the time! It’s such a fun atmosphere, and the chips and dips are delish! However, I don’t love any of the entrees on the menu. I realize I always want to go here but don’t actually love the food. Perfect for a drink and apps though!
The food was very good, however we were not able to enjoy our dinner as the timing of our appetizers and dinner was terrible. Within 5 minutes of our appetizers, our dinner was served. The asado platter quickly became cold, as we enjoyed our hot appetizer. We took our entree home where it is sitting now in the refrigerator. If we ever visit again, I will clearly talk about timing with our server. But many other options with good service in the area.
Outstanding Mexican food, will definitely return when in Seattle!
Fun atmosphere and the best Carnitas ever!!!! Great margaritas!
Excellent brunch menu and ambiance. We enjoyed the expanded menu and their always yummy guacamole We brought our guests from Southern California who raved about this great Mexican food. We’ll certainly be back and bring our friends and family. I also want to mention how well we were taken care of. Excellent wait staff 👍
The atmosphere, food, service, and overall experience was wonderful! Definitely recommend the steak tacos and the margaritas.
Great service and atmosphere. Tasty takes on some traditional mexican dishes. Chips and salsa should be free, however.
Excellent service, great menu. The drinks are delicious! Make sure you make a reservation, this place is PACKED.
Fun atmosphere, awesome service and great food - what more could you ask for?
A really good margarita? They've got those, too.
Always a great time
The margaritas are over-priced, especially the strawberry Fresa margarita in the small glass filled with half ice. They charge $6 for 3 small size, different salsas. I do not recemmend this restaurant. Don’t ask for chips & salsa or you will be charged $6!
This place has a good vibe and sits on the corner with lots of windows. It's has cozy spots by open fires to enjoy on wet and gray Seattle evenings. Food is reliably good as is the service
First time here and the food and service was great. I sat at the bar while waiting for a friend and ended up eating at the bar also due to the service and care. Donny the bartender is the best. He knows tequila well and provided some great recommendations. The carne asada with the chorizo is a savory combination. I will definitely come back to try some other food items and to try a flight of tequila.
Another wonderful experience during the holidays in 2018!
Gave us a small cramped table that wasn’t clean in the back for my birthday. Terrible wine, lack of service, over salted chips and staff did nothing to help me celebrate my birthday. I would not recommend this place for birthdays or celebrations.
Great food, exceptional service from a waiter who gave great advice and really knows his food and beer. We’ll be back. Thanks for a great time.
What a fun, lively, authentic and delish time we had. First timers, but won't our last.
Made a reservation for 4 at 6p, since we were headed to Neumos for a show on a Thursday, and was glad since it was busy. We had the nacho appetizer, some beers, and then fish tacos, the cheese quesadilla, and some margaritas. Everything tasted delicious, and the Jala-pina margarita was a hit. We will definitely come back in the future.
The food was mediocre and way too heavy. I got the chicken verde enchilades and the chicken was ground up inside and it seemed as though they were trying to hide it with all of the verde sauce and cream. I didn't feel all that well afterwards, probably shouldn't have eaten it.
Probably better for others, I just definitely got the wrong thing.
Super friendly server.
This was our first visit to the restaurant and we'll definitely be back. The food was very good - very fresh chips and delicious guac - while the main dishes were also excellent. Attentive service for sure.
I was attracted to this restaurant walking by in the evening, seeing the ambience. The tile accents are beautiful and the restaurant has a lively feel. I really wanted to love this restaurant, but I found the food to be quite bland -- a definite lack of spicing, chiles, onions, or garlic. The chips were thin and crisp, but heavily fried. The salsas and guacamole lacked flavor -- very bland. While we were eating appetizers, the entrees arrived. The pacing was off. As a foodie who has experienced a lot of excellent Mexican and Southwestern cuisine, I do not plan to return.
It was good not great. Had an excellent blood orange margarita and my fish tacos were ok.
Excellent service and setting. Reasonable prices, great food and one of the best margaritas I’ve had in years! Will go back and recommend to friends.
we enjoyed our meal overall. the 1/2 chicken entree was not big....it was more like a large leg and a wing. This dish is for the lite eater. The Carnitas were great...and more fulfilling than it first appeared.
also, they only take reservations up to 6:15pm. this does not mean they are booked after that time. we would have rather eaten later, but misunderstood this and made the 6:15 reservation.
