    Prime is one of the finest dining experiences I have ever had! I have dined here many times now, & it is always top tier! The staff is professional, courteous & very well versed on every part of their outstanding menu! When in McAllen, this is always my “go to” for the most outstanding dining experience!     The food was served cold, I ordered the 6 oz. Filet with the lobster, the filet was not buttery, tender or juicy at all, it was hard to cut, our waiter would disappear a lot for long periods of time and our order took longer than the table next to us, we ordered before they did and they got their orders before us. I did not get a proper meal for what I pay for.

    We are from out of town and live in a big city where we have tons of exceptional restaurants and food. We decided to travel for a long weekend. We searched for a nice resturant and saw that the food and prices for Prime Steak & Seafood matched what we would normally consider a nicer place. Very disappointed with the service, the food and the overall experience. The suggested appetizer was horrible. The salad was tollerable but not great. My wife had steak (we have had better cuts of meat from the grocery store), the mac and cheese was runny. I had lobster (which was ok) and a baked potato which was very bland. The dishes were mediocre at best. We didnt even try dessert at that point. For $180 night out for two, this resturant did not measure up. Not sure how they have such good ratings. Maybe this was the best McAllen has to offer? I'd try somewhere else if you want a nice experience with good food.

    Prime is absolutely awesome in all respects. The variety and quality of the menu is perfect. Chef Roberto is so charming and talented. Had the scallop appetizer and octopus--both were over the top.

    Great place. The atmosphere was awesome! The server was attentive and the food was great! My husband and friend has the ribeye and I had the filet. All were cooked to perfection! So tender. A great place to dine.

    The service was great, highly recommend the Chicharrón de Ribeye & Wellington! The pasta Alfredo with shrimp was okay…the sauce was very weak & watery. Waiter was very attentive. Two entrees, be appetizer and two drinks…$150. Felt like it should be more like $100. Odd that it was advertised as a “high end” restaurant, but we’re surprised to see many people in shorts and flip-flops, and the 80’s music (my generation that I love) was just too loud. Perhaps a dress code should be enforced and a different genre of music would make the environment more aligned with what the owners are going for. Make it more like its’ sister restaurant, il Forno, and it would be much better.

    I ordered the rib eye chicharrones this time. Fantastic! Recommend asking for tortillas on the side so they don't get soggy as presented. Great service this time at bar. Miguel and Mike were on top of it. 180 degree difference from last visit a week before.

    Great beet salad and ribeye steak cooked perfectly. Service at the bar was extremely slow. Waited 15+ minutes to get 2nd cocktail. 1 bartender in white served me initially. There were 3 others in black shirts that were making drinks but never checked on customers. Still, it was good food and atmosphere. Will go back, just knowing to plan for long night.

    I scheduled 2 weeks in advance for my mother’s birthday. We got the most uncomfortable booth and for some reason their air conditioner was not working that day.

    Ambiance of the place is great. It’s one of my favorite places to dine and drink. Did it’s good, drinks are delicious and the dessert is amazing! Service varies but overall it’s good.

    I’m giving this bad review at the overall because the AC was broken down and it was real hot, stuffy in the building, air not circulating so there was a foul odor from probably the people sweating and the restrooms. Otherwise, the food was really good can’t complain about it, had lobster and chicken.

    Walking to our table, we were sat by a kind hostess in a room that had an unpleasant odor. We eventually learned, that same odor was throughout the establishment. Still not sure what it was. After ordering our appetizers, I proceeded to order the Akahusi beef Steak Burger. A couple of minutes later, our kind waitress returned saying they were out of the burger. I proceeded to order the $75.00 Picanha Akaushi steak and she again said they were out of that item too. I ended up ordering something I really didn't want. Two small cocktails at $17.00/piece. Our bill was pushing $300 (cash price), but because I paid with a credit card, they charged me a Non-Cash Adjustment of almost $10 dollars. Won't be going back there. We could've gone to a high-end restaurant elsewhere for the same or better price. Don't waste your money here.

    I really wanted to love this place. Our server new the menu well, but then left us for 30 minutes without checking on us. Had to get silverware on our own by walking around and asking another server. Took forever to get cocktails refilled. Not a big deal but come on. I had the bacon wrapped scallops, Wellington and a bottle of wine. Scallops were really good. The Wellington was a big miss. I feel for the money there are better options in the area. Wont be returning

    Prime is always on point. Whether the dinner is personal or professional, rest assured there's something here for everyone. Food selection is outstanding, beverages are great, but the best part is the large and knowledgeable staff. Everyone - not just our waiter - supported the evening to ensure we had an outstanding dinning experience and everyone at our table commented about how great the staff was and how it added to the overall experience. Plus, it helps when every bite of food is absolutely delicious!
