   Our waiter Milton was on point. Knowledgeable about the menu, with great recommendations. Really enjoyed our meal and experience at Quality Bistro. We will certainly be back.

   I went for my birthday. I have had very good experiences at other quality restaurants but I’m not sure I would go back to quality bistro. We had a reservation for 8pm and were shown to a small table for 2 on a banquet - jammed between another table (super close) and a stair case to a private dining room with servers running up and down. We reluctantly took the table and somewhat surprisingly our waiter came over and asked if we were prefer another table - I guess he knew it was a terrible table. He said he would move us outside in 10 minutes and asked us to wait at the bar. An hour later we were seated inside!!! So unfortunately that set a negative tone for me for the evening/ getting past that the food was very good and our waiter was great. If I was out with a group for an every day meal i would probably have highly rated the evening but for a romantic birthday dinner with my husband - too frenetic and I would pass!

    We reserved outdoor seating for 7 people on a Sunday night and the service was just horrible. The waiter we had (a tall, brown, bald guy) was busy bantering with other customers and had no time or patience for us. He didn’t come check in with us for the starters and the entree came so late that everyone was starving (waited an hour and half at least). Seafood is okay but portion is too small (three scallops for an entree dish?), and both the steak and lamb chop are very dry. No hospitality at all as the other reviews described. We had to politely ask for indoor seating later as the rain started to pour, and the waiter and the manager finally agreed, though unwillingly, for a table change. The waitress we had indoor was much better with sincerity and smiles, and she checked in with us every now and then. All other waiters were just as rude and arrogant as they possibly could, as if they were the patrons not the service providers. I would give it a zero if not for the only friendly waitress we had later. We will never come again for such poor service and okay-but-really-small food for $80 a person. P. S. Fishy waiter tried to sell us more stuff, and the check was also incorrect with more added items. Beware.

    The QB team made my birthday special-can’t say how enough about kind they were! Private booth was intimate and weather-independent-food was yummy. Huge portions. Highly recommend!

    I’ve been dying to try this restaurant for a while and I’m sad to say I was so disappointed. Service really does matter just as much as food and both were subpar. I originally ordered the chicken which came out extremely tough and for that reason I wanted to choose a different entree, however our waitress was no where to be found and never came back to check to see how the meals were as most restaurants do. I had to ask a bus boy to find our waitress; which by this point my associate was half way through their meal. When she did finally return I expressed that I’d like the steak and fries and I’d like it prepared the same way as my associate-medium rare. When my meal finally arrived-not only was the steak significantly smaller than my associates it was over cooked-medium/medium well and oddly my fries were cold. At this point bc again the waitress still never came back to check if the replacement was to my liking I proceeded with my meal. For dessert we ordered the mousse and the opera cake. The cake was amazing until I asked that the cake be divided into 2 containers for us to take home (which I cut the cake evenly into 6 pieces so it should’ve been a simple enough task at that point). Somehow that was lost in translation and the cake came out in one container and as the waitress handed it to me she remembered I said 2 containers. Well when they rectified it they just threw the cake into two containers bc when it came back it was literal mush. Then to my surprise the waitress just dropped the check at the table and never asked prior if we’d like anything else which I did- I wanted one last cocktail as it was the only thing I truly enjoyed with no issue. For a restaurant that has their lowest gratuity option set to 20% I would expect amazing service and this was far from it. $400 for food, service and expirence was not worth it. I’ve had better customer service from hole in the wall restaurants.

    Everything was delicious! Went for my Birthday and we had a great time. For appetizers we had the tuna tartare and Butter Service Garni (OMG! ). For entrees we had the branzino and the sole with a side of corn brûlée (highly recommended it - absolutely fantastic). Finally, for dessert we shared a pistachio cream brûlée, yum!

    This is my third time at Quality Bistro. And again it did not disappoint. While I was said to not see Carla again Luis C and Pepé more than made up for it. We were treated like royalty. We loved the food, the ambiance the drinks and the experience.

    We made reservations to celebrate our daughter’s graduation from Pratt Institute and it did not disappoint! Everything was wonderful from cocktails to entrees and dessert. The cinnamon brioche toast is not to be missed! We sat outside in one of the covered cabanas and it was a beautiful so that was lovely. I would love to go back and dine inside because the decor inside is so beautiful. The service was attentive but allowed us to have a slow, leisurely lunch to celebrate our graduate!

    We arrived an hour early for our reservation - our table was for 1:15. We asked if we could be seated early but was told that it would “be a moment.” We asked if that would take long and the hostess said “no, just a moment” and asked us to wait at the bar. That term may have been deliberately vague, but we did not think that meant an hour because it was a beautiful day and we could have waited outside or walked around while we waited. At 1:05, I told them we had been waiting a while and asked if we were going to be seated soon since we were told it would take “a moment” but were told by another host that they were “aiming for 1:15 because your reservation was for 1:15.” If we had known this earlier, we probably wouldn’t have waited that long or we would have at least had the expectation that we would be seated much longer than (what I think constitutes as) “a moment” by the way the other hostess implied. Of course, if it was very busy and we needed to wait our turn, we would have, since we showed up before our reservation. However it seemed like they were taking walk-ins before us and we would have much preferred if they were honest with us from the beginning that we would most likely have to wait for an hour before we got seated. Waiting at the bar and expecting to be seated “in a moment” when in fact it took an hour is very different and did affect our dining experience. I am a repeat customer, and ate there less than a week ago. I was disappointed with this service. We got lobster salads, crab cake, and rouge & blue. Lobster salad was good and filling and the crab cake was nice, I liked the rouge & blue but wish they had included that there was goat cheese in the dish on the menu. Didn’t take any pictures since we were starving due to the hour-long wait.

    Food was so so. Service from waiter was awful. Wine sommelier got my wine. Party of 3. The 2 ordered salads but were saving to eat with meal. I didn’t order salad but no food or follow for an hour and half. Finally got wine sommelier to refill our drinks and get our server. Finally ordered our food. Acted like it was our fault because the other 2 ordered salads. I have never say that long in a restaurant without at least an update or check in after ordering. My party was not important to the server at all. Would not go back or recommend. Too many better choices.

    The food was God awful. I have eaten at top restaurants around the world and this was not good esp at this price. Pork chop was tough and tasteless. Crab cake was described by my fellow diner as “a McDonald’s fish filet with crab inside.” Server was great but man was the food bad. And I have an awful stomach ache today so I rather suspect the pork was bad.

    I was there with a very an eater that is incredibly sensitive to food texture (a teenager). There is a burger on their lunch menu but it’s up to the discretion of the chef whether or not they will make a burger during dinner. They refused to make a burger, even though it was the only thing the teenager could eat. She ended up having the chicken and it was alright but the service left a lot to be desired. I ordered French onion soup as an appetizer and it never showed up. They never asked if we wanted dessert. Overall the foot was yummy but the service left a lot to be desired. I won’t be going back. And this gives me great pause about trying Quality Meats and Quality Italian, which is a shame.

    Worst service we had the entire 8-day trip to NYC, hands down. He was short and barked at us. He only came back and checked on us once, so we could have ordered more drinks but I'm glad we didn't. There are SO many fantastic places to eat in NYC. Was the food great? It was, but there are a lot of great places to eat in the city. For the high prices, why settle and sit through an uncomfortable experience with a rude/mean waiter? Not worth the experience.

    There were 4 us and everyone thought the food and wine was outstanding. I had the filet mignon au poivre which was absolutely delicious . My wife and I shared the Bibb lettuce with avocado salad and we both were impressed. The dessert was apple tart with cinnamon and quite tasty. My wife had a chicken dish and our friends, lobster, both of which I was told were prepared perfectly. The portions were generous. We ate in the “Shed” outside which was surprisingly comfortable and quiet and intimate. The restaurant has a great location in the Theater District near Carnegie Hall and is on the opposite side of street from City Center. Two thumbs up !!!

    Lovely setting . Definitely giving the French brasserie feel. Bar area is underwhelming, should be upgraded. Extensive wine list with great selection . Pricing is however very high potentially too high. Food menu is totally fitting, however I found the execution of food to not exactly at the expected level, some shortcuts here and there . Service was to the point, well done there.

    A dear friend and I went for a pre theater meal and it was perfect. Such a gorgeous space. Atmosphere. And service. The crab cake I had was one of the best I’ve ever had. And this is coming from someone who grew up on crab cakes from the eastern shore. The tables can be a bit tight for two tops. But over all it was really wonderful.
