Farm-to-table
DINNER GUIDE:

We are featuring carte farm-to-fork Chef's approach to creating a sustainable off-the-list concept that features local ingredients but is done in an a la carte format. Our Carte Farm to Fork menu is offered 6 days a week, using sustainable ingredients but highlighting them so that diners can curate how they want to have dinner instead of letting the chef decide what they have for dinner. The menu came from the idea of what we can do to highlight sustainable ingredients in a less wasteful manner. He's decided to use the same basket of ingredients but highlight them a la carte six days a week with a few staples from rasai 1.0, making a return to the new menu too. We aim to deliver an approachable fun-dining experience through a la carte.

Lunch Menu Starting June 1st we will be doing a high Indian street food lunch menu as a tribute to post-covid festivities. Chef Abhishek's forte is in street food and elevating the dimensions of Indian cuisine. He's put together this amazing menu that will allow our patrons to try the unexplored parameters of the streets of India, done with a PNW twist. We will use foraged and local ingredients with settled and complex Indian streetside flavors. New Season Dinner Menu: We are featuring an A La Carte menu that puts emphasis on local foraged ingredients but done in minimalistic-mediums on a plate. Our focus with this menu is to showcase the accents of Indian flavors in a clean and concise manner.

Food was bit oily and didn’t have lot of options for vegetarians. Also, their brunch and dinner menus are different which they do not mention anywhere !

Excellent food, presentation and service. Inventive cuisine but not puffer the top. No ventilation on patio though so it was like sitting in a greenhouse with the sun beating down. Need to roll up the plastic sheeting for airflow when it's warm.

stop trying to make indian food super fancy fusion. your sauces/curry/spices are delicious, but execution of some ingredients/dishes are truly horrifying. the octopus tentacle in the seafood stew was tough as rubber and skin was still on providing a nasty filmy slim that i had to peel off myself... try blanching to peel the skin off the whole octopus and then tenderizing it with a mallet! the waffle had a weird chewy consistency and it was hard like a stale crouton. But waiter, Apam, was AWESOME and the drinks were delicious, especially the combu

My experience here was subpar and unmemorable. The place lacks ambience+experience. It was quiet and empty for a saturday 6 PM reservation (probably a sign in hindsight). The menu looked exciting and effort was made to make the food seem “elevated” but the taste/flavours were “just okay.” It looked fancier than it tasted. A bit of a let down considering the nice food presentation and the prices… I also specifically made the reservation saying it was for a birthday celebration and I also sent a reminder message that it was for a birthday. I don’t expect any “special birthday treat” but at least they can inquire and ask if its a special occasion and or say a quick “happy birthday” greeting. We didnt finish our meals (lamb biryani, halibut) and the side bread platter, they only wrapped up the biryani. Did not ask if we wanted to bring the bread home. The service and experience here needs more work. I would not recommend and I don’t feel its worth a return unless changes are made.

We had high expectations from the place from the reviews and few local seattle influencers suggestion. We all feel bloated and have stomach issues. Not really sure, if we were served stale food. We have dined in $$$ places before but the ambience, quality of food and taste make your money worthwhile. This place cannot even be a $$ place. Most definitely an over rated and over priced place. We ordered below items: Dahi puri - what was served in the name of Dahi puri was a joke! Tiniest portion and not tasty at all Jackfruit Bao - Bao was chewy and overall not tasty Anjeer kofta - very average taste and does not come with bread Mutton biryani - Its anything but biryani. Small portion, chewy mutton, broken rice which is not even flavored. Couple of cocktails, one of which we had to ask the waiter to fix the drink Mango lassi was the only item which was tasty and rightly priced. Thanks for giving us a small pastry for free to celebrate our occasion. Sorry to say, the cake definitely tasted like it was made few days back, not fresh at all.

Great dinner at Rasai. Super attentive servers who suggested dishes and an off-menu dessert that was to die for. All the food and drinks were familiar yet new twists that we didn’t anticipate (that’s a good thing)!

I am so glad that my husband and I got to try Rasai's tasting menu before it goes away. Every dish was so creative and balanced with Indian and continental European flavors. In a time when the restaurant industry is struggling for experienced waitstaff, Rasai is blessed with people who really know food and beverage, and can tell you which pairings work and why. Absolutely fabulous way to celebrate a special occasion.

Food was forgettable and not near the level of what you would expect from a restaurant touting this level of quality. Many other great choices nearby so not worth wasting an experience on. Service was great and wait staff was very attentive but we were there for something special and this missed the mark by a mile.

We used to have a favorite restaurant in Seattle called Poppy created by the famous chef Jerry B who used to run the herb farm. We have been sad that we haven't had such a great gourmet, unpretentious dining experience.... Until now. I'm so happy to have this gem with delicious, creative, inspired dishes. I am already excited thinking about going back with more people for the food and experience. The service was lovely and warm.

Overall, we had a nice meal. The staff is very attentive, the ambiance is lovely, and the cocktails are very good. This place is trying very hard to be a find dining experience. However, the flavors just isn't there on some of the dishes. One the 7 course tasting menu, amuse bouche, tacos, and dessert are the stars -- but the ceviche was over sauced, the halibut (main) was lacking seasoning and had bones, and the gummy course was just unpleasant tasting. The menu and pairing used a lot of gimmicks, like smoke bubbles and charred cinnamon, but they need to work on flavor.

A very frustrating experience. The food is quite good, the service incredibly poor. After requiring a credit card with a 15 minute no-show warning to secure our 7 pm reservation, we were told on arrival our table would not be ready until a “large party” finished desert. We were seated outside and we’re not asked for drink order for 30 minutes, and finally got seated indoors at around 8. We waited till after 9 for our food, which was very good. We would have liked dessert, but didn’t dare risk the attendant wait. To management’s credit, our dinner was comped when I complained, and was assured this was a “one off.”
