For an establishment that markets themselves as a higher end restaurant and with the price to go with it, the service and quality waiting staff fell short.
The constant reminder of the table to be returned at 8pm by every staff that came to the table every 10 minutes was a too much and literally killed the mood. And when 8pm came, the floor wasn’t filled until 8:30pm! I little juggling and moving around by the management team could have made the experience from a 1 star to at least 4 stars. I saw one couple came and was seated a table in the corridor, they requested another table on the otherwise rather empty upper floor, they were told all tables were fixed and they decided to leave. The staff really need to be more flexible and adaptable in these situation. I doubt that couple will come back for more, I certainly wouldn’t.
Food was above average but on the more expensive side for the quantity and quality. We opened a bottle of wine and asked if we can move downstairs to finish the bottle. The English speaking staff said it’s all full downstairs (which wasn’t by the way) and we were like, are suppose to skull the bottle? We tried another staff and he manage to squeeze us in downstairs and we were out in 15 minutes. Just 15 minutes made all the difference.

Won't recommend, very bad service, keep saying the table is available only till eight, but apparently no one is coming after eight.
Also steak is overpriced
A small gem in the middle of Hollywood Road. Friendly staff, quality food, great atmosphere. A place to go when you want somewhere nice and chill for a good conversation.
Save space for cheesecake!
Food were all very salty and poorly seasoned. Very overpriced for what they were.

Having lived in Spain myself I can say that this is by far the best Spanish spot I’ve been to in HK. Flavours is just right and not overly salty.
We sat on the second floor of the restaurant, and its safe to say that all the staff there were absolutely miserable.
Understanding that it's a busy night and by no means expecting impeccable service, never have I ever experienced worse service in Hong Kong. The staff were not only rude with terrible attitude, but disrespectful, condescending and extremely extremely aggressive.
When asking for our order to be taken or our first glass of water (after being seaten for over 30 minutes), the waitress would incessantly roll her eyes and huff and puff aggresively at me as if I was asking for something ludicrous. My friend and I were too afraid to even ask for our second refill of water - and of course, never got it.
Another server who brought our food out, literally slammed every single one of our dishes down on the table. It was so jarring and violent that the one and only courteous server had to awkwardly apologize on her behalf. This then prompted her to sarcastically YELL "ENJOY" at us as she continued to throw the rest of our dishes on the table. She did many other extremely rude things serving us and cleaning up our table as well.
It was clear they were only interested in waiting on specific tables, to the point where the other guests had to let them know that I had my hand up for service first.
Needless to say I will not be visiting Rubia again. The food was not bad, but not worth the horrendous attitude and awful service to say the least.
Service is a bit not up to standard. We appreciated that the waitress kept reminding us we were running out of time to enjoy our meal. Nevertheless, it gave us pressure to finish and celebrate our friend’s birthday in a rush. We tried to understand that as the restaurant was very busy last night.

Tapas was very good but the Rubia rib-eye steak was only adequate.

Very good Steak, Tapas and Burger.
Especially the Burger is good value for money.
The quality of the meat was excellent, but it was not hot when it arrived and the plates were cold. Therefore a little disappointing as it has the potential to be so much better.
Must try black fideos with prawns! It's absolutely fantastic!!!
Not bad but choice of food n service can be impoved
The huevos rotos is a must! This guys knows exactly what they’re doing! Everything was impeccable!!!
Food was pretty decent, for the appetizers we had the Heurvos (eggs), Steak Tartar and the grilled Octopus (the latter and former were very good). For mains we had the rib-eye steak.
The service was just okay, at times the staff didn't seem that attentive, often requiring me to wave at them numerous time before they noticed. With three servers, serving 6 tables of 2 people in a relatively small area, it should be to hard notice a customer wanting some service.
Finally it would of been nice, if the corkage waiver was buy one bottle and free corkage on one bottle, like most restaurant. At Rubia it's buy two one free ... given can only serve two people at the moment, hard to drink 3 bottles in one seating. Doesn't quite make sense.
Decent food, but doubt I will go back, cause of the patchy service and silly corkage policy.
The staff are great, especially at the bar. The food we had was delicious, fresh and tasty. Atmosphere very good. Will definitely be back. I do not usually write reviews but I really enjoyed myself and I am sure you will too.
Food overall excellent. Appetizers very good. Tuna tartar especially good.
Steak was good but we were told did not have tenderloin so we could not order it. This was a bit awkward as we were told this after the tenderloin was recommended and we ordered it.
Sweet peppers that come with steak are a stand out. Really really tasty.
Music in restaurant was very loud. As this is a nice restaurant music should be more subdued.
Service was very good. Waiter made good recommendations.
I would recommend this restaurant and will return.

Good food and service. The steak was very well done & the chorizo potato salad
Being the only customers in the restaurant we received a royal treatment but our waiter was obviously well-trained about the dishes on the menu and the wine list. The two of us ordered 3 tapas to start and one main course to share. Both quantity and quality were top notch. The highlight was the warm blue cheese cake dessert which certainly ranks highest among those we’ve tried around the world. The only glitch is the wine list which is a) not well selected and b) poor value when compared to Pica Pica.
The steak is so good and the price is reasonable, but less choice for tapas.
Food was great. Music was a bit loud - i think the volume can be turned down a bit.
The food in general is good but I feel less Spanish touch from the menu.
I do love the décor but the seating is quite tight in terms of space between other tables.

The restaurant locates in a very noisy street and my dinner has been accompanied by 2 extra noisy groups which really overwhelmed me and exhausted me.
in terms of food, space and price, Pica Pica is a still one of my favorite.
