For dinner, Saigon Sisters offers full-service dining experience with modern culinary flair to the classic Vietnamese street food recipes of owner Mary Nguyen Aregoni. With "downtown" hip, minimalist interior and walls exhibiting original works by local contemporary artists, the unique Asian dining spot goes one step further by offering an impressive beverage selection including wines, artisanal beers, sake and specialty signature cocktails.
Dan was very welcoming and personable. Food was delicious.
Ate the curry noodle soup and a fish special.
The fish special was good, but not $30 for three bites of fish good. I felt like a sucker for allowing the manager to up-sell me on that.
That might have ruined the meal overall, but my wife ordered the curry noodles. The noodle bowl was so large she had to share 1/2 of it with me. And it was GOOD. Good enough to make me forget about the overpriced fish dish.
So my recommendation is this: Don't go with what they suggest for you. Stick to what your instinct tells you to order, on the main menu.
I'll most likely be dining here again next time I'm in Chicago.
Loved the size of this restaurant. It was cozy, warm, well-lit, and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. I had the fish special that was fantastic. I generally love salmon over any white fish, but the sea bass was amazing. I would have liked dinner to be served with some veggies.
Had a surprisingly wonderful experience at Saigon Sisters. We chose it on a whim. The food was brilliant. The service was very attentive and helpful. The whole Bronzino and BBQ jackfruit bao were amazing. The papaya salad with octopus delicious. The lychee martini great. Highly recommended.
Great food, great service and great prices!
A great, intimate dinning experience with great food.
One of the fish dishes I’ve ever had! Absolutely amazing food!
I visited here on one of my first days in Chicago. The owner is super kind and inviting, the food is delicious, and this place is a neighborhood gem. It is one of my go-to places, especially on days when I need food and people good for the soul.
Really good food and really good price
Always a very tasty lunch. Service was a little slow, but not deal breaking.
It was great food and great fun. We had a party of 6 and we deferred to the staff as to what we should eat. They brought out dish after dish and it was all wonderful. I highly recommend Saigon Sisters!!
Great place and food. Service was 5 star. Most entrees somewhat spicy but good
Loved this place! Off the beaten path:) the owners are so hospitable:) food is amazing. Fantastic, attentive server.
super tasty & authentic vietnamese kitchen! staff was fun! we‘ll come again soon! 🥢
This was a gem. We didn't know what to expect and were pleasantly surprised. Dan, the owners husband, greeted us at the table shortly after we arrived. The food was great and the staff very friendly. It isn't the fanciest place but if you are looking for someplace with great food without the hefty price tag to go along, this is the place.
Food was fresh and delicious. Loved the Nems (Crispy Imperial Roll) ask for mint - just like the Nems in Paris. Also ordered Bo Luc Lac and the Spicy Beef Noodle (yum!). All items were GF. Can’t wait to go back.
We had an off menu special which was amazing - I’d definitely opt for their recommendations again. It was very quiet but the service was good and overall great value
Absolutely delicious food, fast and attentive service. Highly recommended!
Beyond creative phenomenal food. Very service oriented. Off the beaten path.
Exceptional first class food and spectacular first class service. A Hidden Gem!
Great food but needs a spice warning! Decor is nothing special, and no wind block at front door makes for a cold sit nearby. Very good service however makes for a nice experience.
Best Vietnamese food i have tried.
Service is excellent and the food is really good.
We got the Branzino and it is must. We will return for sure.
Cocktails are super good too..
Fabulous food and service as always. Introduced friend to place for first time and she said she was definitely coming back
Servers and staff in general were knowledgeable and attentive. We were on a tight schedule to get to a show and were accommodated with speedy service without feeling rushed. The food was well prepared and absolutely delicious with plenty of food.
Service was great, food was authentic and packed with flavor.
Best Vietnamese food since Saigon. Great pho, green papaya salad and beef ! Nice selection of Asian beers and wine.
So happy to experience an authentic Vietnamese restaurant with selections representing both the north and the south. The fish was expertly prepared, fresh, and delicious.
Great food and service. The pork belly Banh Bao are fabulous!
Personable staff, very attentive and helpful. The food was was tasty and plentiful. Great choice
We cannot begin to say enough amazing things about the food and the outstanding service here. We don’t know a lot about Vietnamese food so our server (who I believe is also an owner) helped us with ordering. He makes you feel so welcome and the food he recommended was crazy good. We took my son and his girlfriend, and they too couldn’t believe the service we received and enjoyed the food - delicious and different! Cannot wait for another opportunity to get back.
The owner greeted us the second we walked in. He was very friendly and accommodating. He suggested wine that went with our meals. Food was great, wine was excellent (and 1/2 off the bottle!), quiet enough for conversation, and plenty of street/meter parking in the front. Would definitely go back.
We visited this restaurant for the first time a year ago, and after our second trip this week, wondered why we had waited so long. The food was delicious, the service friendly and attentive, and the prices very reasonable. I would highly recommend it.
Fresh, well-prepared Vietnamese food, decently priced. Cute Vietnamese-themed twists on classic cocktails, too.
Fantastic food. Love this place.
Good food and it was really fast.
Everything was excellent except the stupid sugar tax in Chicago. I’m glad I’m from Wisconsin where I don’t have to pay to drive on the highway or pay for sugar.
My favorite place to eat in the West Loop. A fantastic dining experience with fresh, flavorful food and amazing service. I will be back again and again.
This place was a unique find. The food was very authentic and tasty. The service was wonderful. There are daily specials and it was nice to have home cooked food. A great follow up to seeing Miss Saigon. The prices were very reasonable which was also an added bonus. A very short walk from the theater district and well worth it.
Quick service. Awesome for a quick bite at lunch with high quality food.
Had a great dinner for two. The menu is great. Lots of variety and deliciousness. I really appreciated the fact they identify and focus on providing gluten free options. Perfect stop in for Pho on a cold evening.
