Savona - King of Prussia
Consistent, creative, high quality dining, and seamlessly orchestrated service has been the hallmark of Savona - King of Prussia's success for over 20 years…..
A marble bar, sexy outdoor patio and upstairs wine lounge will set the stage for a spirit of relaxation and conviviality. Executive Chef, Drew Masciangelo continues to employ his "farm to table" approach with a soulful regional Italian menu inspired by his Abruzesse heritage. All selections are prepared with simplicity, consistency and the attention to detail Savona has provided for decades.
So... sit back...relax...swirl a glass of vino from the largest wine cellar in PA and enjoy the new Savona!
I brought a $500 bottle of wine, which they decanted for our personal pleasure!
Sunday night seems to be a bit either short-handed and confused. Not their normal good service and food. Let’s hope it was an outlier.
We love sitting at the chefs table
Our food was delicious
We will return for a special bday in March !
Very good restaurant. Food & service were wonderful. My only complaint is I had told them in the reservation that it was my sons birthday and to please include a candle in his dessert. The desserts came out with nothing acknowledging his bd so I had to ask the waiter for a candle & then he got a plate with some cookies & a candle. Otherwise we loved it and would love to go back sometime.
Amazing food and service. 10/10 would eat there again.
We had not been to Savona since it changed hands some years ago. The food was outstanding; but the ambiance not as nice as it used to be. The service from our waiter, Kyle was excellent. We started with delicious oysters on the half shell. The Caesar salad was excellent. My husband's lobster risotto was tasty and creamy. My fettuccine with scallops and shrimp was fabulous. A little pricey for the food but well worth it. The drinks were oddly priced and they need to fix this; one charge for liquor and another for margarita mix (?). The former elegant, plush atmosphere is gone; now it is more contemporary. Still very nice but I prefer white tablecloths and chairs with comfortable cushions.
Our brunch date was fantastic! The food was delicious and the service was great!
Christine is the best. Handles crowds etc with calm and courteous manner. Food was very good. Service sometimes is a bit hit or miss, depending on waitstaff, but Christine makes up for any shortfalls
This restaurant has great food and service. But it is expensive for the portion sizes, which I thought were a little small.
Wonderful experience dining here! The eggplant dish was delicious, sommelier took his time to explain different types of wines, and the staff was extremely friendly. Would definitely recommend Savona for date night as the ambiance really sets the mood :)
As expected, the food and service were absolutely outstanding at Savona which is what we’ve come to expect. Mark did an awesome job as our server. It’s always great to see Papi, he stopped by a couple of times to check on us which is so like him. I was a little disappointed in that I didn’t get my favor table but it didn’t take away from the evening.
Our table upstairs was way too close to the adjacent tables. My wife was seated on a shared bench seat 2 ft from either side of her neighbors while I was 5 feet away on the other end of the table. It was not a fun experience that we would do again. Brandon was an attentive server. Food was flavorful and colorful. Veal meatballs and artichokes appetizers were good portions. My wife had the eggplant entree which was also a healthy portion. I had the fettuccine scampi. The pasta tasted homemade but the scampi only consisted of 2 regular sized shrimp and scallops. Disappointed. Parking was mandatory valet, but vehicle came right back as we exited the building.
Amazing price for exceptional service. The food was great
Great Valentine's Dinner! 2nd time here in 3 weeks. Will come again.
Great service. Apps, salads and drinks exceptional. Unfortunately, main courses were just average and quite expensive. We sat in quiet area, which was very nice, otherwise would be very loud.
We went on Valentines day, likely the busiest day of the year, so keep that in mind. While we did have a nice time, service was a bit scattered. There were some issues with orders (things came out wrong, people were confused - it was a lot to handle with all those tables) but the restaurant did comp some stuff for us when things were messed up, so that was very considerate of them and much appreciated.
Overall, Savona is pretty pricey, so we expected a little bit more. The food was decent, not quite worth the price. Dessert was EXCELLENT. We were incredibly impressed by the pastry chef with their creative, beautiful, and delicious offerings, but everything else was underwhelming. Again, it was not bad, good by most standards, but not at this price point. When you pay $40+ for an entree, it should be excellent.
Ambience was lovely, the restaurant is beautiful, but the way tables are set up it was very difficult to have a conversation. The tables are very long and rectangular, even for two-seaters, and they seat you long-ways so that you're separated by a decent distance. That meant my husband and I were basically shouting at each other to talk over the noise of the busy restaurant.
Overall, we enjoyed ourselves, but were underwhelmed by the service and the food. I know that it's a struggle to keep up with the volume of guests on Valentine's day, but if they couldn't handle that many tables, I think maybe they shouldn't have agreed to so many reservations. Perhaps it would be better on a normal day, but I'm not sure it's worth it to us to go back again.
Great bar. Great service. Small portions
It was good but the corner was cold and small and there were a couple issues with our orders but nothing really bad
Very surprised given some negative reviews - everything was outstanding!!
Food quality and quantity left a lot to be desired.
I had the lobster cocktail as an appetizer. It was three bites of lobster with some cocktail sauce. My entree was fettuccine scampi. Due to the differing textures of the pasta, my guess is that the dish had been under the heat lamps for a while. Although the taste was OK, for such a high end restaurant, the quality of the food was disappointing. My wife had the lobster and saffron risotto: Another mediocre result.
A definite positive were our drinks. Excellently prepared and tasty!
We used to love Savona. But even on Valentine’s Day, the experience felt tired. We would rather spend our money at a place that offers more effort.
Always special meals at Savona with great service, beautiful seating areas and good food. They are responsive to each of our guest's needs. Special salute to server Sebastian who makes everyone feel like a queen. Valentine's Day special included a spectacular homemade pasta with black truffle. And our desserts came with Birthday wishes for my 103 year old mother, who ate every drop!
Great food. Lovely ambiance. Perfect for a date out!
Very reliable and very nice experience ...go often
They are trying to be somthing their not . Well overpriced for the quality of food . Service was poor ,just not a place I would recommend
Awesome brunch. Service spectacular
Hadn’t been there in many years, and decided to give it another try. SAVE YOUR MONEY! Extremely noisy, waited 15 minutes to hand someone a “ticket” to retrieve a leftover?? And, waited 20 minutes for the valet to bring our car - eventually had to tell him to just please give us our keys, which he reluctantly did. Was so unhappy with the experience, I asked that the owner or a manager contact me - they did they next day, but he was so rude, and tried to justify all of the ridiculousness of the dining situation!! Will never go back... there are too many wonderful restaurants on the Main Line, to put up with their nonsense. This is the first time I’ve ever written about any restaurant, but since it was SO bad, I thought others should know.
We were so excited for a fancier date night. We had veal meatballs which were ok but nothing special sauce was better than the meat and calamari which was great. Moving on to the main course we had the rib eye which was nothing better than grocery store steak we cook at home with a ton of char on it also slightly over cooked for medium rare. Finally I had the special which was black truffle fettuccine which had no protein so I added shrimp. Noodles were great and you can tell were fresh made but all that was done with the truffle was slice it and put it on top, there was no cohesion to the dish. For a $220 tab we were super bummed. I can say beverages and service was good, however the waiter did forget our mushroom we had ordered. Noise level was high due to how busy it was so there was a bit of yelling to hear each other. Mainly older business men crowd, and valet only. I’d give it a solid 3 at best. Food was not worth what they were charging.
Service was great
Celebrating a birthday
Excellent food and service
Service was great, even though they stuck us alone in the corner of the restaurant. Food was good but definitely overpriced for the quality. The octopus was completely charred, the Brussels sprouts were burnt to flakes, the steak was entirely too charred. The fish was good, and the risotto. The dessert wasn’t anything to call home about. The service was prompt and you can tell the staff is trained well, but we probably won’t be back, value is important to us.
Brunch. Limited selection but really well prepared food. Excellent service and a beautiful table.
Try the Chocolate gelato: fudge but surprisingly refreshing and light.
It is the perfect place to celebrate a loved ones birthday. We also had two babies and there were no issues. I expressed having freshly squeezed O.J. instead of concentrate. The restaurant is too expensive not to.
Horrible. Waiter never got our order correct. Lovely waiter though.
Just not good tonight at all.
Great food, excellent service, but a bit pricey. Perfect for a special occasion!
Enjoyed dining at this restaurant last evening. The dining room was elegant, each plate pleasing to the eye and equally delicious and attentive and pleasant staff. Our waiter was Sebastian and we enjoyed his charisma and menu recommendations. Thank you for making my birthday dinner special. We'll definitely dine here again.
Excellent service and wine selection
We love the food and ambiance at Savona. However, absolutely every single time we go, the service is simply terrible. One of the managers was audibly disgusted with taking care of the customers and asked others around to just take care of things, even if it mean customer dissatisfaction. The manager would not acknowledge our frustration with the service. He kept pouring us more wine but this in no way compensated for the poor service. The food took incredibly long to come out. We were just looking for a fun night out with our son and did not appreciate having to feel anxious and frustrated. Our waitress was thankfully awesome, which was refreshing amidst an otherwise quite nerve wracking experience.
I'm surprised I'm writing this but I wish they had a dress code. The food was terrific and the service solid but it's dismaying to see the family at the next table in sweats and the father wearing a tee shirt and baseball cap (on backwards - the height of douchebaggery). I guess I'm getting stuffy in my old age but I think it's inappropriate for such an establishment. Just my two cents.
We were celebrating our engagement with family
