The Sawmill Prime Rib and Steakhouse stretches over 20,000 square feet with a seating capacity of over 700 dining room, lounge, banquet room, and patio combined.
This location has built its reputation on the Sawmill formula. Serving over half a dozen different cuts and sizes of Alberta beef one cannot go wrong ordering any one style. The Sawmill Prime Rib and Steakhouse has become known for many unique qualities and is open daily at 1130am except Sundays when we open at 3pm.

Fathers day brunch: wish there was more cheese in the menu options lol. All in all it was fine. More about the treat of going out then the quality of the food... we have never been sawmill fans and this didnt change our mind. Took an early seating time to avoid crowds and to sit outside to be covid- safe. Very nice to have the patio to ourselves. Lovely setting by the water feature in a cabana...felt very peaceful Desserts and pastries were very sweet. But who can pass up creme brule cheesecake?!

What made the evening so special, was our server. Heather was a breath of fresh air. She was informative, attentive and seemed genuinely interested in our well being and that we enjoyed the experience. I’d add her name to the reservation next time!

Very disappointed in this restaurant. We have purchased their sesame sauce numerous times and loved it so wanted to try the restaurant. We were there for a special occasion so I was sad when the experience turned out so poorly. All of our food was overcooked. My dad’s prime rib was a disgusting colour and seemed off. His Yorkshire pudding was burnt and my husband’s was ice cold. I felt bad for the server as he was really friendly. He would be amazing in another restaurant that could provide a meal that we would actually enjoy. They did offer a new meal to my dad and took 2 meals off the bill. Unfortunately, it just didn’t make up for it.

I don’t know if it was because it was brunch but the options were limited. I had the French toast , which was nice but cold. The syrup has no flavour. Two other parties had the smash burgers and didn’t care for it at all. The service was excellent.

Bar was too loud. That’s ok. All was good otherwise. Moved to dining. Everything was poor from then on. Good not cooked properly and sent back. Came back almost the same. Even though manager was aware and food removed from bill, no other option was given. Waiter didn’t even ask for water or drink refill. Left hungry and very disappointed.

Reso @ Sawmill last night but started w/drinks at the Mill. Ended up having our meal in the Mill. First presentation of a meal was shocking for many reasons, and corrections were made. In the meantime, offers to hold the other meal under a warmer while we wait another round?..nope. Server was nice and did what she could, but overall service was shotty as far as attentiveness to drink orders and refills, and all the while the Manager is involved in all of this business at our table. Was there any concessions made at the end of the evening by said manager to make things right for all of the debacles? That is a hard no. As someone with restaurant experience, I am aware of what mangers are able to do in these situations. Super duper disappointing there, Mr. Goodchild. Anyway, the lime cheesecake was absolutely divine!!!

Very disappointing. Sprite was flat, no bubbles. Steaks and mashed potatoes and veggies were not hot, barely warm. Asked for grill re-heat of one steak and it came back hotter. Ambiance - lacking the charm of the old Sawmill. Our server was very nice and we appreciate her.

The service was excellent! The food was not, the Alfredo had no flavour at all and the other pasta dish was incredibly oily. The steak was only OK , the amount of butter/oil on the vegetables just wreck them. Our server was attentive and funny and the best part of our evening out. We will definitely go somewhere else next time.

Wonderful evening visiting with a friend. Great server, great food. The only reason there was any noise was the hockey game was on next door & the Oilers were beating the Flames! Highly recommend the Sawmill!

When I reserved, I had asked for a quiet booth if possible and we were seated in the center of the dining area. Corner tables sat empty while we were the center of attention. Our server seemed more attentive to the large group seated beside us and I struggled to get his attention a few times.

As this was our anniversary we had our family with us. We enjoyed our evening and all seemed please enough with everything. I noticed that our server was run off her feet covering the whole dinning room as she did not have enough time to check on our impressions of the meal. Also delivering the drinks took a bit of time. Otherwise, all was good I did notice that the pork Chop was dry and the meal as a whole was not overly hot but, I eat it anyway. We had an enjoyable evening and that is what matters. You can never go wrong with The Sawmill. Our waiter Steve took excellent care of us (party of seven). He was very personable, very efficient at serving us. We enjoyed his presence at our table. The food was very good. From appetizers to our main courses, everyone went away very satisfied. Thank you Steve and The Sawmill it was an excellent Mother’s Day dinner.

Our server was Steve and he was amazing. We were constantly checked in on. We took our grandmother out for her 96th birthday and they offered her dessert on the house. We also had two kids with us that the kitchen catered to. The food was delicious and everything came out in a timely fashion.

Booked a Mother’s Day brunch thinking it would be a buffet brunch as it had been for years. Greatly disappointed that we were only able to choose from a small menu. Ordered French toast and it wasn’t very good. My mother got a quiche and it had asparagus in it. Which I thought was weird. Sometimes less is more especially when it comes to meals. The only good thing about the meal was the cheesecake, which they probably didn’t even make and the service. We had a really good waiter.
