Winemaker Robert Schermeister and his wife Laura host all guests and their dog Eli greets everyone at the door. Our limited-production wines are all native fermented, unfiltered, and sustainably farmed with big aroma and flavor. We welcome wine enthusiasts of all knowledge levels to come and experience the best of Sonoma Valley wines for a relaxed and engaging experience!

Winemaker tastings at our creekside tasting room are $35 per person and complimentary for members.

Please allow 60-90 minutes for your tasting with us. Well-behaved children are welcome, as are pets on the patio.

Outside food is not permitted. We ask that you give us at least 24 hours' notice if you can't make it to your reservation and to call if you're running late.

We did not dine here, however as the format of this survey insists on me adding a rating for food, I have no option but to give the lowest score option available. The wines however were really very good! Laura did a wonderful job educating us on each of the tasting selections and I highly recommend this winery to all!

Pleasently surprised by this small winery as they make what I would say are the finest wines I have ever tasted. Impressed by the personal touch of the winemaker himself there to pour and discuss the wine. Immediate fan, look forward to joining their club!

The wines are sublime? Quite and away setting that offers a fresh throwback experience the increasing over the top tasting market. Rob and Laura are tremendous hosts and love exploring the nuances of the wines on each return visit!

We had a lovely tasting! Laura was so kind and welcoming and Rob spent a long time chatting with us about wine and winemaking. We sat outside next to the creek and the whole experience was fun and peaceful. The wines were delicious and we enjoyed the food pairings.

What an experience! Both the winemaker and his wife were incredibly welcoming, even providing personalized menus with our wine tasting and food pairings. My wife and I were joined by the winery pup, Eli, for the extent of our tasting. We ordered a few bottles shipped back home, and they arrived safe and sound! A+++ experience!

Laura and Rob are amazing hosts. Incredibly knowledgable and offered a great tasting! Their wines are high touch, detail-focused, and really show off what can be done with the grape varieties that are common to the area. Rob's style shows through on each of his wines, and you can tell this team has truly embraced the labor of love that is making great wines in California. If you want to REALLY learn what it takes to make good wines, and enjoy a true boutique winery, this needs to be a stop on your visit to Glen Ellen.

Laura and Robert are great !! First time here and loved it. Will be back. Sad that I didn’t get to try their famous Pinot as it was sold out already. Didn’t have food pairing, (but hopefully they have a cheese to go with the wine). Thanks for a nice experience!

This is a tasting room, not a winery, but it was awesome in a low-key, natural way. Robert (the winemakers) was there to offer the tastings and we were able to sit outside on the patio, listening to the sound of the creek flowing nearby and the birds chirping, all while learning about his process. He truly loves his craft. Pinot Noir was amazing and the Viognier and Rosé. He also recommended The Yeti Restaurant next door for Indian/Nepalese food and that was fabulous. A wonderful overall experience.

We had a phenomenal tasting experience at Schermeister! Rob (wine maker and co-owner) poured our tastings and shared everything behind his wines from the native fermentation process to his journey becoming a winemaker and the techniques utilized to make each wine. His wife (and co-owner) Laura was such a delight and it was awesome to learn about her creative process behind the wine labels she designs. The experience was so authentic and enjoyable, and their wines are all incredibly unique and distinctive. We joined the wine club and can’t wait to visit again!

Laura and Rob and Eli (dog) were so nice and welcoming. Great energy at this space and they were all so kind and thoughtful and we had great conversation. First time experiencing these wines and truly enjoyed them all and the ambience of the space. Thank you for having us, we will be back…but in the meantime, we will enjoy our wines with our newest wine club membership!

Wow! Meeting Laura and getting to know about their lives and the wine, was an unforgettable experience! She is such a lovely human with immense passion for what she does! If we all could only love our jobs as much! The passion of the Schermeisters is alive in their wine. Every taste was a treat for the senses. The aromas were so nice I wanted to keep my head in the glass. Haha! And I thoroughly enjoyed each variety. We were so happy that she was able to ship some home for us! We will remember Laura and her sweet shop each time we sip our lovely wines! We throughly enjoyed the experience and will be recommending it to any friends traveling that way.

We had a wine flight with food pairing tasting. Fantastic experience with Robert the wine maker and Laura his wife (plus Eli their rescue dog). Robert spent a lot of time talking through his philosophy and techniques of wine making. Everything was delicious. We all ended up signing up for the wine club.

The reason for the poor rating is because there is no food served. It’s wine tasting & SO happy we did it with these lovely people. Truly intimate experience ‘ became winery members. Eli is an amazing host.

Frankly unbelievably great wines. Do yourself a favor, and just go. Join, too. We took some friends to taste, and they joined the 12-bottle club. We’re increasing our membership as well. Maybe the biggest bang for the buck in all of wine country. Wow. Laura and Rob (and how interesting it is to talk to and ask questions of the winemaker) are consummate hosts. So much fun, and I learn something every time we go. Tremendous.
