Overall, our dining experience was good. This was our 3rd visit and we found this experience to be a bit uneven compared to our past visits. The service was exemplary, but found background music to be too loud and made conversation somewhat difficult. While the food was very good, it did not consistently meet our expectation of a Michelin Star restaurant. And while we felt the pricing on the PrixFix menu to be good value, the charges on a single glass of Salmon Billecart champagne was exorbitant.

Amazing! Good attention to vegetarian dishes as well - they noticed I didn’t eat a meat based thing they dropped for free at table and brought something special for me without discussion. Usually vegetarian dishes are an afterthought, but they were delicious here. Would come again.

Outstanding and attentive service. Didn’t like being seated upstairs / too stuffy and ambiance not as nice as lower level especially since the 4 of us were celebrating a father and son milestone birthday. Food selection and wine selection was great. However all 4 of our dinner plates were lukewarm not hot (we didn’t want to make a fuss about it so decided not to mention it).

Value - very expensive, we are unlikely to come back because of the price. In 2020-21 the set-menu dinner was priced reasonably at $66, now it is priced at $98 plus mandatory 23%.

Just the worst experience and we’ve been their before. The pasta appetizer was ok. Then I ordered the duck… the waiter said their specialty. I send it back. Incredibly chewy. Then we had chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream… just terrible. It was an embarrassment

We dined at the bar....very nice environment! A bit "energetic" in the bar, but a fun atmosphere. Food was, as usual, exemplary. Gazpacho and Gnocchi were terrific as well as the Tomato Risotto. Perfect in season menu. Service was terrific.

We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and Selby’s made our party of six feel special. I had called ahead to let the staff know that we had three people who were hearing aids, and they made a point of sitting us in an area that had two walls so those in our party could better hear the conversation. After we were seated, we noticed that the staff had prepared a special anniversary card for us. Our server, Ben, was knowledgeable about the wine, menu and specials. He and the rest of the staff anticipated our every need and added small touches to the already outstanding menu. Oysters, we had not ordered, were served as an appetizer to accompany our champagne toast was much appreciated. Dinner at Selby’s is always delicious and tonight was no exception. In addition to the desserts, we all selected, they brought out a special anniversary dessert for my husband and I. We were there for 2 1/2 hours and had an absolutely wonderful time. A heartfelt thank you to the staff one second of Selby’s.

The worst food I’ve had at any Michelin stars. The blueberry tart was on top of a pastry base purchased from Walmart, not even Whole Foods. Literally just some blueberries and sliced peaches with some creams. And the peach was not even PEELED! Honestly I don’t know how this place deserves a star.

The food was good, but what stands out to me was the service. This was the best service I've received since The French Laundry! From the host, to the sommelier, to the server. They were attentive, but not intrusive. I'd go back just for that.

I was honestly expecting more from a Michelin star restaurant. Food was good, not mind-blowing, service was good but at some moments made us wait unusually long. During the second half of our dinner the space was pretty much empty, except for one table with 4 people where one person decided its fine to be super loud - no idea why no one asked them to be less loud. The coconut ice cream however was incredible.

We dined at Selby's on a fairly quiet Tuesday night. The space is gorgeous and I loved the high ceiling. Our server was Knowledgable and friendly without being too overbearing. I appreciated the fact that even though you are ordering from a Prix fix menu they have many ways in which you can customize it and order a la carte something that you do not see from a lot of fine dining establishments of that sort. We ordered the Tuna Tartar, the pasta, and the wedge salad for the first course all were great, especially the tartar. For mains, we had the NY steak and the Burger. Again both were great. The pomme frites that accompanied the burger were fantastic and the included the house sauce that came with it. My only caveat was the burger Chala bun which was not as soft or fresh as I hoped for. I wouldn't say it was stale by all means, just was not what I would have hoped for. For comparison the freshly baked bread that came to the table was excellent therefore I had better hopes for the bun. However, that didn't affect my rating of the place and I would like to think it was a one-off since everything else was top-notch. I will definitely visit again.

We really enjoyed our anniversary dinner at Selby’s. The ambience was nice, the service friendly. The food was very good. I am just giving 4 stars for the food, because being a Michelin starred restaurant, you do not get wowed. Is good cooked food but on the safer side.

The food was great but knocked off a star because service got slower as the evening went on and they also forgot to bring out some add ons that were supposed to come with my entree. Came here for an anniversary and they gave complimentary oysters (which I unfortunately do not like) and a nice little cake, which was very tasty.

This is a great place for a nice date. The service is friendly, attentive and helpful, without being intrusive. We never felt rushed. The overall atmosphere is very nice, and the noise level is low enough that conversation is easy. BTW, the food is quite good.

Cool atmosphere and the staff was great. It was not made clear who the 20% "service charge" was for by any of the staff and gave the indication that an additional gratuity was necessary.

Food and drinks were really good except for one dish (Lobster Consomme). Service was excellent and they substituted the consomme with an alternate dish with no charge. Will definitely come back.

The food was delicious and reasonably priced unless you fall for the server's suggestions. It seemed like our waitress was upselling from the time we sat down. First, it was champagne (we loved their super cold martinis) and then it was their $$$$$ Waygu special. Everything we had was excellent, right down to the rolls (had two). We enjoyed the hamachi, tri raviolis, veal chop marsala, beef wellington, blueberry tart and the churros. The cozy rooms made the lovely ambiance and enabled us to hear one another. It was an enjoyable evening. We'll be back to try the food at the bar.

The service we received at Selby's Sunday night was unparalleled. The staff worked as a team. We were greeted with smiles and kind words from the valets through every interaction. Staff were well-educated on the menu and eager to answer questions. We felt a high degree of hospitality and that we were exceptional guests. We will be back and are sure to rave about our experience. Thank you, and keep up the great work.

This is a charming, elegant restaurant with superior service and attention to detail. The food is excellent, though it is not the best we've ever had. Began with an excellent oyster "amuse bouche", part of the three course "price fixée" meal. My first course was a tuna tartare, generous and very tasty (and an add-on $5). My wife had stone fruit salad with charred Avocado, and Cucumber Crème Fraîche that was also quite good. She had salmon and I had halibut for main courses. Both prepared beautifully, mine with a tomato nage and hers with and excellent corn coulis. The glazed blueberry tart for dessert was nothing special, but the panda cotta with Strawberry-Hibiscus Granita and Swiss Meringue was far more imaginative and satisfying. Selby's has a huge wine list, perhaps the most extensive I've ever seen. But the mark-ups are also the largest I've ever seen, verging on the ridiculous. And if you bring your own, be advised of the $65 corkage fee. To sum it up, the food was prepared beautifully and served beautifully, but just a touch below what i expected from a Michelin starred restaurant. The wine was was overpriced by a long shot. So I would give Selby's 4 1/2 stars rather than 5.
