Shadowbrook Winery has become the East Bay’s most decorated winery in San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition with over 69 medals. Shadowbrook is a small production family owned winery located in the foothills of Mt. Diablo. We produce and offer a wide range of exceptional red wines and some white wine offerings as well.

We are by appointment only.
Things to note before Booking and Arriving: We CANNOT accommodate anyone under age 21. Please no children and no pets, with the exception of certified service animals, personal pets and emotional support animals are NOT allowed. Prior arrangements must be made in advance to accommodate said certified service animals.

The Winery outside eating area is so gorgeous. The view is of the vineyard against Mount Diablo.The servicer was great with knowledgable recommendations about the wines and food .I highly recommend a visit to Shadowbrook.We are already planning a return very soon. They also serve beer if you are interested.Great find! .

Lovely spot, nice to have food while you sip. Service wasn’t great but she was probably really busy. They close so early but I think that’s due to city regulations maybe!? It’s so gorgeous and close.

Beautiful views and location in Walnut Creek (the foothills of Mt Diablo). Great food and service, fun to see the vineyard the grapes in your bottle came from. Thought the tasting fees were comparatively steep ($45-$60 for 5 tastes). Would definitely return again and just order wines by the glass for the ones we now know we like.

Our 4th time visiting and another fantastic experience. The wine is excellent, the food very good and our server Kevin amazing. Brought two friends whom had never been here, and it was so much fun to see their jaws drop as they looked around and kept saying “ who knew that a winery this good was in our backyard!” The big extra bonus…. we were back in our home in 15 minutes! No grueling Napa traffic!

We had such terrible service at Shadowbrook that I will not return unless I am with a member. The server brought the wrong wine (twice) and then brought the wrong food - I figured she was just having a bad day - but then she was rude - missing a pour in our tasting - and aggressively insisting she did not, arguing with my 87 year old mother, not telling us anything about the wine when we asked : only "petite means small" about the petite sirah (OK, thanks), dumping the dregs into my tasting glass (my wine was decidedly chunky), giving hideously small and pours, and being inexcusably inattentive. We left without buying any wine (why would we - we didn't even know what what we were drinking). We had a lousy time, and will not risk returning.

We had such a great time at Shadowbrook!! Highly recommended. Our server was Kevin and he was awesome, knowledgeable about the history of the place, the menu and very pleasant. Wine was great, we have different taste so we ordered Pettit Shira and Chardonnay, both great. The food was unbelievably good. Even though the food is appetizers style, it is tasty, fresh, good portions, excellent!! The ambience outside makes it a very enjoyable evening. You have the look of the vineyards, sunset, no need to go to Napa. We had a reservation at 5:30pm on Friday, which it was a bit too early for us but was the latest available. We learned that 5:30 is the latest they have all year because the neighbors will complain if they go after 7 pm. Wine and food orders stop at 6:30pm.
