   Amazing Sushi with tons of other amazing entree options for those that don’t like sushi. Very nice place. Staff is extremely nice and very knowledgeable. Desserts are delicious. Only thing I didn’t like was the table placement. Some of the tables inside feel so close it’s like you’re sitting at the same table as strangers. Still a great dining experience.

   The first waitress we had was very clearly high or on something. Female and she didn’t answer any of our questions or finish a single sentence or thought. The male they replaced her with was awesome. So thankful we got a new server.

   Overall good, food was typically good, a little noisy but the restaurant was busy so to be expected. Food service was good but it took almost 10 minutes to get my credit card back and sign the check.. About a 10 minute wait for the valet parking to bring my companion’s car ( I parked across the street ).

    Great food…great service. Very expensive ! There were 2 of us…had no alcohol and bill exceeded $120! But food was great…portions were generous. Great waitress! Tables are close so it was easy to overhear everyone’s conversations nearby. Too loud for an intimate dinner!

    Had a wonderful experience with a friend. We had some really interesting dishes, one with purple rice another with charred fish on a roll. And most importantly the music was just right. Loved every moment.

    We experienced the worst waitress we have ever had at ShinSei. Took her forever to come back for our food order. We had to flag down another wait staff. The Lanae roll we ordered was never delivered. Our waitress did not ensure that what we ordered was delivered. She did take the toll off our bill at our insistence. Had company in town for this dining experience. Disappointing the service was so sub-par.

    Overall great food and our waiter was great. However, the tables are on top of each other. The hostess failed to giver everyone a menu, which is a recurring issue, and the special drink of the week was not properly advertised. The food and waiter makes up for the issues.

    We were celebrating my son's "new used" car as well as early birthday for his girlfriend. Loved every aspect of our dining experience - especially the spring rolls, jalapeno chicken poppers, blistered peppers, and the exquisite pressed sushi (all of the sushi was excellent, but this was our first exposure to "pressed" sushi which was much easier to handle. Definitely will revisit when we are on this side of town again!

    Tammy was fantastic with regards to both service and her menu recommendations. She has been there 29 years and that says a lot about a place. Fantastic food in low key but upscale setting. Will return with business guests and friends and family as this was our first visit.
