Fabulous food and wine! Tremendous service. Definitely worth the stop!
Service a little slow
One of our favorites! We go every week! John and Theresa have are great!
Loved this place, great steak and fantastic wine. Will definitely return!
First time visiting S&S. Enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Service was a bit slow and sporadic. It was a fixed menu for New Year’s Eve. Will return to experience the regular menu.
The food was just mediocre and not at all worth the price.
So sad. Our NYE experience here did not live up to expectations set during a visit here for our anniversary.
Always good. Always friendly. Always worth a trip back!
Everything was perfect! Our waitress helped us select a delicious bottle of wine. The charcuterie board is a must! The filet mignon and potatoes were great! The scallops and fettuccine were also very good. I am looking forward to my next visit.
Great wine list, food was exceptional. Owner and staff made our anniversary dinner memorable.
It’s like having a private chef come to your home.
Sip and Savor is one of our Plano favorites! The appetizers and main courses are both very creative.
This was our 2nd time at Sip and Savor and we were not disappointed. The quality of cheese and charcuterie board was superb, wine choices adequate and food AMAZING. We brought different friends this time and they cannot wait to go. We love the menu and the quiet ambiance. It is peaceful and easy to hear friends over dinner. We get tired of the crowded, loud environments.
We will see you again soon!
We passed by this place almost every day for the past 2 years thinking we will try it some day. Finally today we celebrated our anniversary at Sip & Savor.
Beautiful interiors, very quaint, great wine collection and lots of vegetarian options! We had a great experience here!
The food was good, not memorable, but the ambiance of being alone with another couple in small room in the old house felt awkward at best. The floor bounced every time someone walked across the room. The chairs are hard and uncomfortable. I just wanted dinner to be over so I could leave. No lingering over dessert or after dinner drinks.
Beautiful place, with great food, and amazing service! You have to check it out!
We were celebrating our 54th Wedding Anniversary. We chose Sip & Savor for this special occasion. We were greeted at the entrance by the husband/wife owners. We were seated by the fireplace in the front room. We ordered wine from the varied wine list. Excellent. We ordered the special appetizer of shrimp stuffed avocado. Delicious. We each had the same entree, Rhode Island Scallops atop fettuccine. Scrumptious. We ended the meal with the Chocolate Espresso Creme Brulee. An end to a perfect meal.
We had the opportunity to chat with the owners throughout our dinner which really added to the overall enjoyment of the occasion. Thank you John and Teresa for everything.
A question I always ask myself at the end of dining is was this the experience I hoped for or was it somewhat mediocre? Typically, when I pick a restaurant it’s likely I’ve picked the spot from many options based on what I’m feeling, ambiance and a menu to best flatter my tastes. For this occasion, I wanted to move away from the high-brow, over crowed scene. This place had good reviews and I let the owner know in advance of the experience I was looking for. I will say that he did greet us at the door and pointed us to the small downstairs wine room. Only 3 tables so quaint. The other guests in the room were friendly, first timers same as us. I was appreciative of Milly, our server, as she offered several wine samples to allow us to make a choice. We did finally settle on a selection, ordered an appetizer cheese and charcuterie, then waited 35 minutes. During the wait the noise level picked up from live music upstairs, not too overwhelming but did break the quiet ambiance. Entrees came out, the appetizer had been forgotten, but the meal was welcome as we had been drinking wine with nothing, no bread, etc. for half an hour. The food was good though the scallops were a bit under-cooked for my taste. Squash was excellent. I didn’t realize until later the scallop dish had been deducted from the check. This is a very small establishment and a visit by the owner at the table during dinner to show his interest would have gone a long way to making this a potential repeat for another night.
Sip & Savor is a totally wonderful experience!
Delicious food served in beautifully creative ways in an 1890's historical gingerbread house.
Professional and attentive wait staff, knowledgeable about all the offerings, including an interestingly extensive wine list.
The owner and head chef, John Weeks, often stops by to chat or offer welcome information.
All in all, very highly recommended!
Good food, but alcohol drink menu limited to wine only (no beer, mixed drinks/cocktails). Wine was reasonably priced, food was priced a little high, but quality was excellent.
We celebrated a special birthday at Sip and Savor and couldn’t have been more pleased with our choice of restaurant. The food was so good, and favorites of our group were the fig & goat cheese flatbread, gnocchi, tomato soup, spinach salad, filet mignon, pork tenderloin, and Brussels sprouts. Our waitress was engaging and gave us just the right amount of attentiveness. The wine list was excellent too, a little pricey, but expected for the quality. The host was very accommodating, and we enjoyed dining in the wine room. Everyone really enjoyed the restaurant.
Sip and savor never disappoints.
Quaint, quiet, lovely menu and wine options. Just the best !
Great place! Relaxing atmosphere. Everyone was very hospitable, waitstaff had perfect timing. When the food came out, it was obvious that the chef loves what he does. My husband commented the next day that he didn't feel like we went out to a restaurant for dinner, it felt like we went to someone's home for dinner. I agreed.
Always a pleasure. My wife and I slowly trying to become regulars.
Very nice dining experience. Dimming the lights with a candle on the table would be nice.
We had a wonderful time. It was original and different ambiance. Excellent food.
Our favorite go to neighborhood place - food is consistently awesome and the staff go out of their way to know you and your preferences.
Always an amazing time at Sip & Savor. Fine dining in a comfortable, relaxed environment. Excellent service, and superb food.
Sip & Savor was as warm and inviting as always. Had dinner with friends after the Secret Vines wine tasting. The food was delicious!!
This is my favorite restaurant in the area. The food is phenomenal and the wine list is excellent and regularly updated so I can try new wines. It's a great place for special occasions or just when you want a delicious meal. It's elegant without being pretentious and truly is a neighborhood gem.
A wonderful place to dine! A treasured gingerbread house from the 1890's converted into a very special restaurant. The "Neighborhood Nights Dinner" menu (Tuesday through Thursday) offers a three course gourmet dinner for just $19. An incredible value! Plus, bottles of wine are half price on Thursdays before 6:45 PM. Locally sourced foods and responsible wines from vineyards visited by the owner. A truly memorable dining experience. Don't miss it!
We had a great time. I took my wife for her birthday and she absolutely loved it. Nick was very knowledgeable and answered all questions we had about the food and wine. He also gave us a great recommendation of what may be a new favorite wine for us. Overall the place is very peaceful and a great place to have a special meal.
Sip and Savor is a very good locally owned restaurant. Everyone that lives close by should give it a try.
I’ve visited this place on 4 occasions and 2 of those have been disappointing. Food never arrived on two different occasions months apart. Service was slow as forgot about us.
The Neighbor hood nights was wonderful. A nice menu for a very reasonable price plus it was 1/2 price bottle wine night (every Thursday). The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable for helping to pick the right wine for the food ordered. Just love the owners and going to this place.
A real local gem. The place combines exceptional food, with extremely personable staff, in a unique and storied location.
This place is AMAZING! From the moment you walk in, you feel the attention to every detail that they provide. The food was by far the best we have ever had in DFW. The wine list was unique, with many excellent wines available by the glass. What a great place!
Dinner was incredible. We will definitely go back for another wonderful meal. The shrimp/avacado appetizer is a must.har
Always a wonderful meal. Love this quiet neighborhood restaurant.
We love Sip & Savor, and usually try their three course menu, which changes frequently. The salad we had on this particular visit was one of the most delicious salads we have ever had anywhere. The fish tacos and rice were fresh and tasty, and the chocolate mousse desert was just the right ending. If you love delicious food, nice wine, and a quiet atmosphere, you will enjoy Sip & Savor.
