The highlight was the service! She was excellent! Very professional and knowledgeable of the menu items.
I do not recall her name but would recommend her to any other guest.
I really want to like Sorellina, but it just didn’t quite live up to expectations. While our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and the support staff was very capable. We had the burrata and lobster stew as starters, and they were fine, though the burrata could have used more than one breadstick, and I’m still not sure how the figs worked into the dish—the flavor profiles just didn’t work for me. We ordered the lobster gnocchi and the veal for our entrees. The gnocchi was very flavorful if a little dense, and the veal itself was delicious, though the accompaniments were so-so. Dessert ordered included the donuts and cioccolatta, and both were good. The drinks were fine as well. I just wasn’t blown away by the experience, and a premium-priced restaurant should leave one feeling blown away, sad to find the experience over. That just didn’t happen tonight.
Amazing if there were a word even better than this I would use it! Food, service ambiance it’s more than amazing!
way overpriced. much better value for comparable quality and experience at many other outlets around town.
Service was amazing and food was delicious. Even though it was busy, it was easy to have a conversation.
Earlier in the day I had come on my own to drop off roses and a gift to be brought out later during my wife's birthday dinner at specific times. The nice young lady at the front desk took notes for the waiter and later during the dinner he delivered exactly as requested, without me having to say a word to him. Well done! The atmosphere was great, not too loud, the food and wine were great, and the overall experience was memorable.
The room is stunning. The food is intersting without being pretentious. Those dining we’re young, old and in between. All together a wonderful experience.
Whole experience from reception, to service, food, atmosphere was superb. Our wait staff was wonderful. Dinner was memorable and delicious!
Excellent food. Amazing service. Great experience.
We went to Sorrelina for a "fancy" Saturday night dinner; my wife wore a nice dress, and I wore a jacket. We got to the restaurant about 15 minutes early, and they told us to wait in the bar, which was a modest fail, since there was no space in the bar nor any nearby tables. We did ultimately get a drink and a place to sit. Drinks are expensive, $20 each.
We got a nice table for 2 in the exceptionally sound-proofed dining room. Plainly lots of people around us, but you only heard the occasional snippet. A very pleasant way to enjoy a meal. We got fois gras and spaghetti with king grab as first courses, both excellent. Veal Milanese and Saltimbocca for our main courses. The Milanese is spectacular. It is presented as a huge rib with a modestly flattened cutlet and a crunchy breading. Beautiful presentation and delicious. The Milanese was very tasty, but not nearly as intriguing. It looked very much like filet mignon, only veal. We had a lemon custard for dessert that was excellent. The Milanese and the lemon custard were at the suggestion of our waitress, who was friendly and available without being annoying or intrusive.
Aside from the price (we broke $300 for two) this is a wonderful experience.
I go to Sorellinas every year for my birthday. The menu options are perfect and the ambiance is just what I’m looking for - beautiful. Professional but fun waitstaff. Extensive wine list... both vegetarian and hearty meals... I love it here! Aside from having the tables a little close for those tables for 2 - this place is an absolute must go to if you’re planning on having a great dinner in the city - for any occasion!
My cod was under cooked and my friends 55 dollar spaghetti was just noodles, butter and few loose pieces of alaskan crab.
The desert was packaged type out the box. 👎
Went to Sorellina for my daughter's 21st birthday as it's BOTH one of our most favorite restaurants in Boston. The ambiance is warm and cozy and the food is outstanding. Go!
Very attentive and knowledgeable staff. Extensive wine list. Exquisite food and comfortable ambiance. Enjoyed my experience.
We had Tarso as our server and he was fabulous! He was kind, informative and made our experience a great success. We were there celebrating my daughter's birthday and the night was perfect, from beginning to end. The food was really an event. We were very happy with the evening and are hoping to find more reasons to celebrate at Sorellina's!
Our waiter Mark was wonderful and attentive as was the entire staff. I had the scallops which were very good as well as the gnocchi, which was simply good. The tiramisu was the best I've ever had though.
Great experience, our hostess was extremely polite and attentive. Food was good but overpriced for the portion size and variety. 0verall would return for bar and desserts !
Very consistent and great experience
The ambiance of the restaurant is very nice. The service was fantantic. The food is ok , on the pricey side. I would rather Oceanaire , The Parker restaurant, or Ruth Chris' .
Exceptional food, exceptional service every time we visit
Excellent meal and way to bring in the new year.
Always a joy! But on this occasion the gnocchi was a major soggy disappointment!!! We asked if it could be remade and our server checked and came back and stated “the chef said this is how it is!” The consistency was not good.... This made for a less than pleasurable experience.
Excellent service, delicious food and most pleasant ambience.
My husband and I are huge fans. It’s a wonderful restaurant to get dressed up. We have celebrated birthdays and enjoyed date nights here. Delicious food and excellent service.
Had visited Mistral a couple of times in the past and always heard that the Mediterranean Italian experience was well worth the visit to the sister restaurant. I found our first two dishes to be fantastic, but our entrees lacked comparatively. The foie gras dish we started with was fantastic. The Potato Gnocchi with Lobster and butter sauce was the best thing we ate all night, but then the meatballs that every speaks so highly of were just okay. For entrees my date had the scallop dish which was underwhelming for her and I had a disappointing rib eye steak with the sides of mushrooms, carrots, and whipped potatoes separated for some unknown reason. It took away from the dish feeling cohesive.
Delightful dinner for our 5th anniversary. They were incredibly accommodating to 2 time changes, service was excellent and food fantastic. We’ll be back!
We booked Sorellina for my son’s 23 rd birthday.First time at the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience!
heard so much abt restaurant, was somewht disappointed. Food was notl good, small portion, service was good but not inviting. Perhaps we ordered the wrong dish, pasta, really a sorry excuse for delicious pasta. Prefer other Italian restaurants. Mistral was always our favorite, should have returned.
Was Amazing everything from the host till the server all great!! Thank you
The food was good. I think the other person's veal chop was a little well done.
Is a little noisy. Where we sat it was cold, because would get the breeze every time the door opened. Would suggest some kind of curtain or other barrier.
Waite staff was very good. Overall ambiance is nice.
Why do they not provide enough light to read the menu? I am so tired of going to restaurants that are so poorly lit, and this is one reason I will not return to Sorellina.
The semi-freddo was an unpleasant experience: not cold enough and a rubbery texture. Totally unappetizing.
The polenta with parmigiano was very good, du to the quality of the cheese.
as always everything was top quality from the food to the service.
An annual special occasion with good friends, and it is always a treat. Food is delightful and service is perfect!
Had a delicious dinner and a lovely evening after a POPS matinee and a weekend in Boston.
In Boston for Andrea Bocelli concert, dinner was wonderful, place is beautiful, centrally located to many hotels, grapefruit martini was fantastic, it’s pricy, but worth it for a special occasion
We wished we were asked if we wanted the small plates or large.
We dine here every year for a special Christmas dinner. The food and service are spectacular. It has become our go to place for special occasions. Never been disappointed.
Decadently titillating and wildly brilliant! The lobster gnocchi was outstanding. The filet was the best meal my mother ever had. The burrata was a gift from heaven.
The wine impeccable.
The service was lit and on fire !
Great place for date night or a special occasion. Food is mouth watering. We had the oysters, gnocchi with lobster, filet mignon, truffle fries, and chocolate cake dessert! We were impressed with it ALL! Service was also very prompt and helpful. We will definitely be going back.
