The food, beer and cocktail selection are fabulous. You seriously can't go wrong. Perhaps the best feature is that you can order small portions of most of the entrees (so if you fill up on the wonderful potato pancakes you won't overdue it). Don't miss the apple strudel for dessert!

$16 for a single pretzel? I don’t know what to say. We are definitely aware of high Bay Area prices for having lived here for over a decade and having actually observed the place change - so we are not whining. But really, $16 for a single pretzel? Beers are fantastic, at least the ones we had. Potatoes were good too. We loved the ambience and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, very expensive, probably worth one visit. More if you have money to burn.

Oh my goodness, I loved this place. Great beer menu, but what I wasn't expecting was 5-star food! Everything we had was delicious from the brussel sprouts, shrimp, and pretzel with cheese as our apps to the schnitzel and curry sausage. I can't wait to go back!

As usual, this place never disappoints. I'm just sorry they are not open for lunch everyday like they used to be, but finding good help is tough. And they only hire the best for their help. Waitress was on top of everything. Even with 5 or 6 other tables she was waiting on. She had them all covered. Highly recommend to everyone. You will not be disappointed at all.

Seriously a little taste of Bavaria in Alameda. Always takes us back to the Augustiner Beer Garden in Munich. Authentic food and excellent service. Parking can be a challenge so get there a bit early.

We had not been in maybe 5 years and I think it is even better than before! The food, beer and service were impeccable and as always sitting outside in the sun (finally sun!) made the lunch even more enjoyable. Relaxed atmosphere, delicious fresh food, good beer shared with friends ... who could ask for more?

Food was excellent, however was disappointed with the french fries. They used to be skinny fries and they changed them to thicker fries, and they are just not as good. The Ruben sandwich was outstanding with a hearty portion of corned beef on delicious rye bread with all the trimmings. The lamb shank was also delicious and falling off the bone meat. My daughter had the pork meatballs on spaetzle, and they were seasoned well and again a hearty portion with plenty of leftovers. Fun place for a group.

Had a birthday dinner here and it was totally not the best day they were having. Servers were all over the place. Beer was fine but too mistakes with food and duplicate orders. At one point the power went out in the room. Great maybe to socialize and drink the night away but way too loud to have a simple dinner.
