We had 630pm reservation for my boyfriend bday at 730pm we were still waiting for our food. We went from excited from the atmosphere to starving ready to go. We got the bread that was suppose to hold us over like 5 minutes before the food, service was terrible.

The staff was super nice and super accommodating. We were running late and I called to let them know we were running late because of an accident on the highway. They held our reservation until we got there. We arrived just before the grace period ended. My reservation was still honored and my family and i totally appreicated that. We were seated and our waiter, Gabriel was very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. He took our drink order and left. We sat and tried to talk, the music was a bit loud so if you are expecting "romantic" vibes, don't go there. It was a festive, clubby feeling and if you weren't in the mood for that, I suggest you go somewhere else. Outside of that, the food was prepared amazingly and everything was at the right temperature and tasted really good. However, I honestly think that it was super over priced!!! It was a fanxy place, the food was great but the prices were sky high! Would I go there again, no! Did we have a good time and enjoy the food, yes!

I gave a 4-star rating instead of a 5-star due to the obvious and loud music that is thumping in your ears for the entire dinner. The food was very, very good. The service was the BEST that we’ve had in like forever (thank you Angela)! The atmosphere was decent. Despite the volume of the music the good food and service will draw us back there. If you can request a server, I’d ask for Angela. You can see that she enjoys her job and her recommendations were spot on!!!

The staff was very nice and over accommodating!! The side dishes were excellent!! However the steak that I paid $80 for was not cooked very well and I really couldn’t eat it because it was over cooked and very dry! I ordered Medium Well and it came out almost burnt. Like I said everything else was great!

Biggest rip off! Our server was not nice at all. It was like we were doing him a favor. No one wad in the place at 6pm on Thursday night. The steak was so peppery and spicy I couldn’t eat it. The martini tasted watery. The prices are outrageous for a steak place. I would never go back ever. There are so many other great steak restaurants in Chicago. No way.

Great seating for date night or small group. Beautiful atmosphere. Food flavor was great. Sides came out a little cold. Price was high considering it felt like average service level, like boxing up our own leftovers, water being spilled on the table, and left waiting an extended amount of time for our server to come back while he was checking on his larger tables instead. Still had a great time overall and would come back again to see if it was just an off-night for service.

Sadly for our first time this was such a disappointing experience. I booked this place for my husband's birthday dinner on a Tuesday night. Our server was pleasant but not friendly but it was busy and we completely understood that. However, after 35 minutes we finally had our calamari appetizer. At 65 minutes we got our main steak entrees. My husband ordered medium rare steak and his was clearly over temperature. We waited for our server and explained, he didn't believe my husband and proceeded to ask my husband to cut his steak down the middle turn and the server pulled out his cellphone to turn on the flashlight. Clearly the steak was over temperature. After all that he took the steak back to the kitchen. 2 minutes later our sever came back with a completely different cut steak , the steak was again not even close to medium rare. Not to mention not what he orderd. By this point the manager was called over and proceeded to pull out his flashlight and mimic the server my husband was so aggravated by this point. We ended paying for our bill and I didn't even bother asking for the surprise dessert for my husband birthday. We ended walking over to the Dearborn Room and having an amazing prercuitto and fried egg pizza to make up for the night. I can honestly say I regret booking this steakhouse for my husband's birthday dinner.

Waited over an hour and a half for our food to come out. All of the tables around us got their food before us, including the large parties who were seated after us. Our waiter had to check on our food in the kitchen twice. Several parties were seated after us and finished their whole meal before our food came out. I suspect our orders were either forgotten or placed on low priority because we did not order drinks. Terrible service.

Food was good overall. Took a pretty good while to get our food but we were enjoying our time so not a huge deal. Pretty disappointing there was no kind of birthday desert… not the end of the world but when you’re spending nearly $400 between two people you would think they could bring out a little something with a “happy birthday” on it.

I had reservations for me and my fiancee's anniversary, it was also Mother's Day. After 2 hrs the food never came. They apologized and said they had a big party. That has nothing to do with me. They then offered to knock "a portion off the bill." Me and my fiancee proceeded to leave respectfully. I will never go back there and I couldn't even tell you how the food tasted! Horrible service

Made reservations at STK for Mother's Day, prior to the Van Morrison concert. Once we arrived, we were seated almost immediately. Liz was our server, and she was fantastic -- very friendly and helpful with the menu. Even bought us shots to enjoy before our dinner arrived. Our table of four enjoyed the 10 oz filets. The Truffle Butter was great. The 6 oz filet with 3 prawns was a great selection. And the sea bass was very good. For sides, we had Truffle Fries, Asparagus, and Mashed Potatoes. All three were excellent. With a couple of drinks each, four meals, and three sides, the total bill at our table came to about $504. We enjoyed the DJ music. The volume did not inhibit our conversation. Overall, a great experience with downtown Chicago prices.

I went on Mother's Day and I was disappointed with the menu choices. I did not see a Mother's Day Brunch or a lunch menu on the website and I was expecting the full menu. I ordered the lobster eggs benedict which was cold. My Mom loved her filet and my Dad loved his chicken and waffles. However, the prices, like most places have increased. I would not return on Mother's Day.

We reserved outdoor seating and were told high top was the only option available when we arrived. The sea bass was stringy and the Brussels still had stalks attached which were sharp and hidden enough to pierce our tongue. The short ribs, Caesar salad and cookie were delicious. We ordered the pie for dessert but were brought the cookie instead. The service was polite and fast but bordering on rushed.

Horrible!!!! the manager was the complete worst!!!! We where sat @ the entry to kitchen when the restaurant was empty ask for another table, was told ,” well your food Iis almost ready. Blew me off, refused to move us. I would have left after my food came out but was on a date. Every server and bus person had dinner with us, it was like eating. In a zoo exhibit with 5 waiters hanging 5 feet from you, you hearing all there conversations. The worst experience ever!! I will be going back to Give the gm a letter on how bad the service was from the manager! 400$ dinner ruined due to bad customer Service. The elephant in the room, if we were a white couple she would have moved us right away instead blew us off and never returned again to say sorry I don’t have anything available. She treated us like we were invisible!!!

Food was decent. Smaller proportions than I expected but tasty. Live DJ at a steakhouse isn’t my ambiance though.

Mothers was was extra special . My mom really enjoyed the lobster Benedict on a waffle instead of English muffin. It was a hit!!!!

The experience was amazing and we abosolutely loved the food. Our waitress Bria was so sweet and caring. She always came back to check on us and recommended us fabulous appetizers and sides. She for sure is the one of the best waitresses I have ever been taken care of. Overall STK is a 10/10 experience. I been to the ones in Denver and NYC and Chicago tops them off
