                                                      My experience was amazing! The service and food was top notch! I had the gumbo dumplings , crawfish rice and the chicken wings with yum yum sauce. I can’t wait to go back to try the bulgogi !

                                                      Checked in at 6:45 for a 7 reservation. Got seated at 7:30. It took another 15 minutes to get our drink order in. Overall, this place is just overhyped. The food was wildly mediocre and just wasn’t worth all the hassle. Also very expensive for the portions provided. I usually leave restaurants with leftovers. We had an app, main and side and it was all gone. Don’t listen to the TikTok’s. This place is a skip for sure.

                                                      We’d been stalking reservations all weekend like it was concert tickets, and finally scored one the second the rain rolled in and people bailed. Their loss, our gain. First things first: order the Gumbo Dumplings. Immediately. Don’t ask questions, just trust the hype because they absolutely live up to it. My wife went with the Spicy Seafood Ramen, I had the Globi Short Ribs, and neither of us said much during dinner… which is usually the sign of a really good meal. Great service, awesome atmosphere, and honestly worth the effort it took to get in. Already trying to figure out when we can go back.

                                                      Everything was so delicious. We had the amazing gumbo dumplings, Brussels sprouts, fried rice and much more. The music was jamming and even though the restaurant was at capacity the service was amazing

                                                       I didn’t actually get a chance to eat or order any food. When I arrived at the restaurant, we had to wait at the host podium to be seated. A line started to form behind us before we saw the host. Many staff members passed us by without saying anything. Finally, he arrived. We informed him that we had a reservation for 4:30, and he finally seated us. A waiter never came out to speak to us or take our order. After about five minutes, another couple arrived, and not long after, the waiter came out and started taking their drink orders. After taking their drinks, he looked at us and then walked on to another table. After that, we decided to leave due to the unprofessional atmosphere.

                                                      Katana was the sweetest ever helped us pick our food which felt so hard with all the good choices 😂😂 Im looking forward to coming back to try the gumbo dumplings but overall food was solid!

                                                      I enjoyed my dining experience at Sun Chong! This place was high on my list on a recent visit to NOLA, and I was not disappointed. Doris, my waitress, was amazing and attentive! I’m not a big drinker, so she suggested I do the I Love You as a mocktail. It was delicious, a little sweet for me, but I was able to add water. The gumbo soup dumplings were the star of the show!! I wish I had a bigger stomach because there were so many more items that I wanted to try. If you’re visiting NOLA, you should definitely check it out, but make sure you have reservations via OpenTable.

                                                      The food was so good! Our waitress, Catherine, was PHENOMENAL. She made sure to check on us often, gave great recommendations and was a friendly face the entire evening. While it does seem pricey, the prices matched the quality of food and drinks. It was a packed house, but still had a nice vibe. I will be coming back when I return to Nola in the future.
