Food and ambiance were great, but we felt incredibly rushed. They must have been trying to turn the table one more time so they brought our food (we ordered many plates to share) very fast and almost all at the same time. When we were asked if we wanted desert and said no, the waiter was armed with the check and left it on the table without us asking, circling back 4-5 times to see if we had put a card down yet. We left feeling like we barely had a conversation the experience was so rushed. Not sure if we’d return.
Had to wait about 15 minutes for our reservation and the staff, while informative and friendly, were not particularly attentive. Food was great, the ambiance was great.
I really appreciated that there were several vegetarian options and definitely enjoyed my meal! However, a dish with anchovy was marked vegetarian on the menu, which the server assured me is a typo. The food was mostly good but we were really disappointed with the cheese plate. It was $15 and there was barely enough cheese to split, served with too crispy bread and and some jelly. Please put more cheese on that or drop the price. It’s bogus. Our server was really nice but had to apologize several times for being short staffed and inattentive. I would go back for sure, but had a few issues so I couldn’t quite give the 5 stars!
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere.
I hate stomach cramps for hours after I left the restaurant. I’m sure it was the food.
Food is always adequate. The avocado toast is so huge it’s almost inedible. Coffee is bitter but plentiful. Menu seems to be schizophrenic and none of it terribly successful. Portions of egg dishes are small, and everything should come with toast, but doesn’t. Attentive service. Nice bar. Seating is a little tight. I like it, but could be so much better.
Came here for brunch with the gals, it's packed during brunch and loud I recommend getting a seat near the window where there's more space away from other tables and also reserve ahead of time. Service great, food good, all portions were very filling, pancake was thick and a bit boring for me just a plain pancake. But overall great! Theres an ice cream store next door so that's a plus.
Really do love dining here! the service is always attentive and the servers are knowledgeable! will continue to reccomend it and will be dining here more often!
The restaurant ambiance is good and so are the drinks
Visited Tallulah's while in Seattle and stopped there for my birthday brunch. The restaurant is so cutely decorated. It's cozy and hip at the same time. Our food came out within 15 minutes of ordering, which was impressive considering it was a busy Sunday. I ordered the huevos rancheros and an almond milk latte. Both were great. However, my friends did get a few burnt potatoes which should not have been served on a plate to anyone. But besides that, things were great and I would go back again.
I've yet to have a terrible experience here, and every time I've been I've tried something new! There's never a special drink or dish I won't try because there is a good mix of variety between their staple menu and their seasonal menu.
My only knock on Tallulah’s is the service. Sometimes, I think they are berthing the cow and growing the vegetables for the garnishments on the burger while waiting for the potatoes to develop into a size to cut for fries. I will always ask for my check one the meal is delivered to the table, because god knows how long it will take for your waiter/waitress to come back with your check. That said, the food is always decent.
We had a great time. I brought my daughter who was visiting Seattle from New York. My daughter who lives in Seattle brought me to Tallulah's the last time I visited. We really enjoyed it that time as well. We will come back!
We have been here many times for brunch and happy hour and always loved it. However, we brought out of town family for a holiday dinner and had a less great experience. Our waiter was also bartending so we were poorly attended, despite having made a reservation. Additionally, two of our party members ordered the daily special and described the dish as "possibly the worst fish dish" they'd ever had. The rest of our food was wonderful, but feeling the disappointment of our guests really ruined the experience for us. Too bad.
Great brunch. It's VERY loud
Was able to make a late reservation on a Friday for a party of six. We arrived on time to find our table was ready for us. Service was great, food was very good. A very nice night out for my party.
Special place. Our server was first class.
Service was amazing. I ordered a bland risotto and sent it back. They obliged and I ordered a few other options that were delicious.
Food quality seemed to have gone down hill over the last few months. I always order the breakfast bowl and it was always my favorite but this time around it was so mushy and I felt like I was eating baby food. The coffee tasted burnt as well. Sad because this used to be my favorite place to brunch.
The food and drinks were fabulous. Very cute restaurant, great vibe, friendly staff. Love the stylish decor - very warm and inviting. Couldn't have been any better. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
Between the four of us, it was hard to choose our meals, as the entire brunch menu looked delicious! I ended up ordering the special they had - crab benedict. The price was more than I’d typically pay, but for amazing crab it was worth it (they didn’t shortchange me on the portion of crab, either)! Two of us had the crab bennie, one friend ordered huevos rancheros and the other ordered the breakfast bowl. We all left with full bellies and enjoyed our experience. The service was quick and we didn’t wait long for our food. Highly recommend making a reservation!
My fourth time here, great cheery spot for Saturday AM brunch with friends. Serviceperson owned their role with panache. The dimly lit "urban bathroom" will be a running joke for years to come.
Awesome! Nice location, very good food and kind people, absolutely recommended if you wanna eat good in Seattle.
Neighborhood eatery with a decent menu and good comfort food that is reasonably priced. The "fancier" selections are way over priced for quality and portions. They run out of staples early and the place was dead on a Saturday night (we we're one of two tables at 8pm
Met friends for a happy hour supper on Taco Tuesday. Tacos were very good and my scallops were superb!
went for brunch but was disappointed. Food was only mediocre, toast was basically fried bread - very greasy. Coffee was luke warm. Overall not up to expectations.
The food was exceptional - healthy and tasty - and our waiter was really wonderful.
Fantastic food, great service!
Nice atmosphere and friendly great food
The ideal neighborhood restaurant but good enough for a crosstown trip. A varied menu, everything delicious and attractive. Attentive and happy staff.
Best huevos rancheros I’ve ever had in my life!!
We've visited Tallulah's twice since it came under new management (I think) and changed its menu, and unfortunately the food has gone downhill. The portions are bigger now, but the preparations feel indifferent, and the menu selections are not nearly as interesting, varied, and enticing as they used to be. The service and cocktails are still great. Sad, because this was a neighborhood go-to for us for years.
I went with my boyfriend for our 13 year anniversary and it was so much fun for both of us he got meat & potatoes & I got yellowtail. The drinks were amazing & the service was exceptional! Great pairing recommendations!!!
Love this place and really feels like a neighborhood restaurant. Our first visit and we will be back!
I like Talulah's for its atmosphere and service the most. I live in the neighborhood, and the restaurant is an easy walk from my home. I have enjoyed the food every time I have gone to Talulah's. It is fresh, well cooked (nothing under or overdone) and flavorful. This most recent visit is the first time I haven't been as happy with the food. It was Tuesday, and they have taco specials that night. So I had the carnitas tacos. They were bland. I really couldn't taste anything except the salsa, and it was rather bland too.
Went for our anniversary brunch. Food was excellent and the waitresses suggestions were on point. They were a little bit slow to get more water/coffee to us, but otherwise the food came out fast and we loved the look of the place.
Good food ,always friendly and pleasant service.Lively atmosphere with cool music.
They were very gracious about when I changed the party size to nine people two days before the reservation after we were surprised by another family joining us. The tables were ready when we arrived, the food was very solid. The place gets loud, but that's par for the course in Seattle during brunch. We all really enjoyed the food and had a great time. We definitely plan on returning.
I've been coming to Tallulah's for a while, and that's why I picked it for dinner when I had family visiting from NYC. There's a noticeable, and disappointing, change with the new ownership. The Spanish G&T now has an olive (!) and is no longer made with the butterfly pea extract . The beet cured eggs are gone and my pork chop was dry. I would caution the owner... don't make the Haggen/Safeway mistake all over again. Cutting costs is no way to keep customers. Service was lackadaisical and sloppy... lots of people rushing around but it took ages to get attention from servers.
Our server was great. The dungeness crab eggs benedict was cold upon arrival. Too bad. I was with my young nephew who was treating me for my birthday. Didn’t want to make a scene. We were a party of 4. Two of us were served cold dishes. :(
