   We ordered 2 of the bits and bobs menu , haggis bon bons were lovely however there was only 3 for £5. We also ordered a scone which was the smallest scone I have ever seen ! I actually commented on it to the server who said Its home made that's why .... Homemade but very small should be on the menu , I could have eaten 2 and still feel cheated ! I also raised it with the owner when he cleared our table ...his response was Ill pass on to the chef ? Surely as the co owner you would be concerned that a customer was unhappy and acknowledge the complaint , clearly he was happy with the very small overpriced scone ? O overall I would give 2/5 which is a shame as its a lovely venue however it was very quiet , not surprised as not good value for money at all and there seems to be no interest in feedback .

No one said we had no interest in feedback in fact it is the opposite we look at all of our feedback on a daily basis. You came on a Monday at 4pm which is known to be a quite time in hospitality and not the best time to judge how busy or quite we are. Our prices are in the same range as most local hospitality venues the prices worldwide have risen and we are fighting on all fronts to make sure we run a sustainable business. Kind Regards,

   Visited for afternoon tea. Nice dining room in the beautiful old building. Staff were polite and friendly. The four sandwiches were slightly on the small side and with no other savoury bite. Small savoury offering was compensated though by the sweet side. Two lovely, moist scones plus 3 small cakes each. If going again, I would request one more savoury and one less sweet item. However good on the whole.

   Taypark House is a lovely hotel. We went for the afternoon tea, which was a gift and although the food was okay, there was very little savoury options and the cakes were super sweet. We couldn't fault the service and might try lunch or dinner, but wouldn't recommend the afternoon tea.

   Service was good, however was not impressed with the food. Meat was tough and dessert was cold. Table decoration / furniture was tatty. Was contemplating the hotel as a potential wedding venue but have decided against this.

   Incredible service with attentive hosts. Food was beautifully presented and cooked and extremely good value for money with a set price for courses. We were there for Sunday lunch however were salivating over the afternoon tea - so will definitely be booking that shortly. My friends liked my social media pics of the food and venue so much - they immediately booked an overnight stay! Very special place - on my top 5 list of places to dine in Scotland.

    Nice surroundings, lovely table setting, served right away when we arrived, but waiter never came back for our drinks order and had to wait for drinks order to be taken by someone different. In last night - 7.15 booking. Food was ok - had sirloin a bit fatty for my liking, had better, chips were a tad over done, although I do like well done chips but they were over well done. One mushroom ? could have added another and perhaps some onions. Pepper sauce a bit runny. Had to wait until waitress stopped chatting in foreign language to 2 people at he next table, although we put our card on our table and put our coats on she did not get the hint. We had to catch her eye and ask. Service from the drinks waiter was spot on, even accommodated my coke in a wider glass so I could use a short straw as there were no longer ones left. Overall, even though this was a voucher for xmas, I would have expected better, and in fact have had better elsewhere. Unsure if we will be back, however would like to perhaps try the normal menu. Unsure at this stage if we would recommend a friend based on the fact that we may come back and do a normal menu taster, so said no meantime to question below. Blaney - 07999779550

    Loved it! The presentation for the pudding was a bit of a let down and we waited over 40 mins once given the bill for someone to come with the card machine. Gave up waiting and met someone in the hall. Was just a busy night but food was lovely.

    Food was very good staff are excellent good choice of cocktails. Locally sourced products . Lovely restaurant warm and cosy. Only down side was a very loud table of ladies who had booked for dinner was hard to have a conversation or hear the background music. Overall was a lovely meal

    Had an itison voucher for steak, great value for money, room was slightly cold, but such a large room and high ceilings too heat. Service was great. Would go again and recommend to others.

    Enjoyed the shabby chic ambience. We had the tasting menu which was wonderful. Liked the outside dining domes but thought the extra cost was a little too much. Very helpful waitress.

    Celebration for friend’s Birthday. Service was slow. Wine spilled as being served not cleaned up. Red wine left with cap on rather than open to air. Food was amazing. Left with empty plates. Maybe more staff or improved training? Had heard from others who visited previously that slow service was a problem. Shame. Great experience otherwise.

    Initially we ordered two cocktails which eventually arrived after much deliberation by members of staff at the bar. After being shown to our table, we were left on our own for some time until a staff member arrived to take our order. However, when the food arried, it was outstanding and the wine we chose to compliment the food was equally outstanding. The steak was cooked to perfection, as were the accompanying vegetables. My wife advises that the sticky toffee pudding was to die for...!!

    Lovely afternoon tea, plenty to eat for two. The noise levels were so low, thoroughly enjoyed our first visit. The host was so nice and welcoming, asked us questions and very attentive. Grounds beautiful, can’t wait to return in the summer months so we can sit outside. Loved everything about it.

    Nice afternoon tea in a pleasant setting. I enjoyed the food, but felt that there were a few possible improvements. The scones were very big and a bit chewy, smaller would be better. A choice of a few different teas would be good. The lemon meringue tart and macarons were delicious, but the other cakes had big blobs of cream on top and this was a bit much after the scones and cream.

    Booked for afternoon tea as given voucher as part of Christmas gift from son and girlfriend. Girl on reception who was also our server was very polite,welcoming and attentive. Afternoon tea was fine, sandwiches..... bread a bit basic, fillings ok, Scones were yummy and hot just not enough jam and cream for 4 scones. Cakes not a great fan of chocolate brownies, very sickly sweet, toppings on them good the other selections of cakes were good. Good size pot of tea and coffee. Not sure Iwould rush back to Taypark as not as good as other places we have had afternoon tea. Do prefer a more varied savoury selection, than sweet selection. Not awful just depends on individual tastes.

    We were here yesterday for afternoon tea, staff were very polite and helpful, I asked for tea and my husband had coffee for which we got a big pot of each, the sandwiches were delicious, as was the cakes and scones, there was more than enough for both of us, we couldn't eat it all. Wouldn't hesitate to go back

    Everything was good however the sirloin steak was very tough. I advised the waitress who informed me that it was from a vacuum packed batch from the previous day. It was not off simply tough.

    The service was terrible, we waited ten minutes on a menu, even though their were two waitresses in the room setting tables. We then waited 20 minutes on a tasteless taster . It took another fifteen minutes for our starter to come which was ok. ( it was mushrooms on toast, with poached egg. The waitress came back to inform us there were no eggs 🤷‍♂️). Somehow they found some. The main was poor as well My Husband had Cod and chips I have never seen such a small piece of fish and the chips were definitely reheated as were the roast potatoes that came with my vegetable pie which consisted mainly of mashed potatoes I could only find one kind of veg in the pie. We decided not to stop for dessert or coffee as we were feeling very dissatisfied with everything. This was a Golden Wedding voucher from our friends and I can’t possibly tell them about our bad experience. . The only positive thing was the lovely waitress who could see things were not right and said the Hotel welcomed feed back.

    A great find in the city of Dundee. Very accommodating with very friendly staff. Food excellent, we had a 5 course tasting menu which looked and tasted delicious. We will be back!!
