    First time here at the Black Bull. We were very impressed right from the start. Welcoming staff member came immediately and sat us in the Barn restaurant. Very contemporary Barn feeling. Drinks order was taken promptly and brought to the table in a very friendly manner. We didn’t feel at all rushed . Our main food order was taken shortly after, and was about 30 minutes which was perfect timing for us. We certainly were not disappointed with the food, it was delicious, hot and tasty. We are very much looking to our return to this hidden gem.

We do use high end local produce, which comes at a higher price.     We were very well looked after. The surroundings were fabulous and varied in each room. The lunch time menu was traditional, but not extensive , delicious and filling. We will be going back for an evening meal. Well worth the visit and highly recommended

    Our first visit to The Black Bull and wow! Firstly the place is stunning and the decor is beautiful- a lot of money has been spent on the place and it is so cosy, stylish and welcoming. The staff are quick, efficient, friendly and attentive, and seem to enjoy their jobs. The menu is outstanding and has something for everyone and the portions are HUGE! You can tell the food and ingredients are of the highest quality, and prepared with expertise. It is by far some of the best food we’ve ever had and every mouthful was an absolute taste sensation. Even the crockery and cutlery are so lovely and the whole experience was amazing. I cannot fault it at all and will definitely be coming again with other family members. Will be gorgeous in summer too as it is in the most beautiful countryside setting and is also dog friendly so would be ideal for feeding up after a lovely walk! 10/10 - amazing place! Would recommend to anyone without hesitation. Thank you for a wonderful experience Black Bull 😀

    Stunning pub, very pleasant staff. Sadly my Chicken Kiev was quite dry and the garlic mayo was almost like butter in consistency. My friend really enjoyed the cheese and onion pie. We weren't asked at any point during or after our meal if our food was ok as I would have mentioned the Kiev
