The Sunday Buffet was good but was not kept stocked and hot. The bacon and sausage were cold. The side of gravy not on the buffet was cold. The omelets were good and fluffy with good “addins”. The waffles too were fluffy and tasty. The main concern were the number of flies in the restaurant today. I have eaten here many times and this has never been a problem, and was very annoying.

I also had reservation and was told on arrival we would have a wait as no one wanted to sit outside and they had a lot of walk ins. My response is why do you take reservations. My usual 5 star experience was a 3 today

Every time I go in the summer it is too hot inside! You need fans going inside if you have bar doors open.

The food is always excellent. We started with calamari as our appetizer. Entrees included salmon and grilled shrimp with baby wedge salad. Both were awesome. It was a bit crowded today so service was slower than we're accustomed to which is why I didn't rate tonight's experience with 5 stars.

Love the view and food was good. The downside is with limited large party(>10) seating.

Wildly overpriced mediocre food. Our server was fine, but the service otherwise was pretty terrible. Had a reservation for 11:30 AM, didn’t get seated until 11:45 for some reason despite dozens of empty tables. They looked lost, as if it was the first day they’d ever been busy. If you don’t get seated by a window, there’s no reason to come here.

Interesting seafood menu, but they don’t know the meaning of “rare.”

The waiter was flustered and at one point threw our napkins on the table.

The service was exceptional and the view was breathtaking! I loved how they worked with me when my party was late arriving and how nice everyone was. I will definitely be back!

Our waiter, Serif, was just wonderful. His recommendations were fantastic and we had a great night because of it.

Excellent restaurant! Sam was a very attentive server. The food (steamed shrimp, filet mignon, lobster tail, crab cakes) and drinks were very tasty. The crowd was lively and friendly. Moderately loud but quiet enough for casual conversation and hearing music over the system. Highly recommended

Found hair in the crab dip appetizer. Got appetizer before our cocktails arrived. Dinner was shockingly little food for the price we paid. Restaurant was incredibly loud. Only redeeming quality was the view. Won’t be going back.

The big draw here is the extraordinary setting. Finally Richmond has begun to capitalize on the fact that it has a waterfront. However, like many restaurants that know they have an exceptional location, they forget that some diners also want food that is equivalent to the setting. I don't love giving negative reviews but I wouldn't want someone with a real love of seafood to go there expecting a special dining experience. However, I would definitely recommend that you go for drinks on a beautiful evening at their outdoor bar. Although the meal in general was just adequate, our salads were very fresh and delicious. And certainly a fun happy hour setting with a gorgeous venue.

Food and service were great! I had asked for a corner table with view of river but was given a booth with sun directly in our eyes. No one sat in corner the whole time we were there. So I wasn’t real happy about that.

I was there for a business dinner. We booked on Open Table and upon arrival the hostess didn’t find the reservation. She ushered us to the side and kept waiting on others. I was able to produce the reservation and then we were dismissed to our seat by a brick wall. Not the best view!!!!! The food was NOT HOT. Best thing going was the waiter. The room was loud and we didn’t have a good experience.

3 shrimp for $30 is a little much. Otherwise nice view. Can get a lot more food at the melting pot for same price.

Great food, relaxed atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the view. The James river was muddy at that particular time however other times it was simply enjoyable. The wait staff are very friendly.

Found on the fly as we were in Richmond to drop a friend at the airport. Loved watching the people and wildlife on James River, food was fantastic. Recommend the oysters appetizer done all three ways to split, delicious.

Brunch was good as per usual (still need a gravy boat up front). Unfortunately their table water has returned to a musty aroma so those recycled wine bottles need to be thoroughly washed before refilling. City water isn't the best but it shouldn't smell musty.

Staff was great. Food was great. Fried Oysters on the seafood platter were a lil over cooked for me but the oysters flight app was excellent as was dessert. Was very loud inside. Manager found out it was our anniversary and comped our desserts. Will definitely be back.

We went for Mother’s Day and made our reservations way ahead through Open Table. A credit card was required to reserve the reservation. I didn’t see anything on the website or here that it was a buffet brunch only but it could have been posted later, however I could not have canceled my reservation without a fee. Might have been my mistake I don’t know. The food was very tasty. The tenderloin was awesome. I just wasn’t in the mood for waffles at 3:00 pm for about $50 each. Also I had a teenager with me who will never eat $50 worth of food.
We never got drink refills although she took plates away quickly.
It was loud both with music and people. We were seated downstairs in the basement which was ok nice but not spectacular.
It was just ok and I would probably choose somewhere else next time.

No stars. Very hot in restaurant. We went for a special occasion. Everyone in the dining room was dressed up and SWEATING. On a 95 degree day they had the outside walls open to allow the 95degree temps in the dining room. My daughter’s roommate was recently diagnosed as a type 1diabetic. She drank so much water to try to cool down. Our waitress was excellent and kept the water coming. The manager said she had heard no complaints and didn’t see a problem. For just ok food it was not worth it. It is a difficult drive to get down to the restaurant with all the road work. Would not recommended of go again. Miserable
