   We received the warmest of welcomes once again and the attentive service continued throughout our visit. It's a well styled environment that is spotless and clean throughout. The food was excellent in both preparation and quality ingredients whilst still at a very reasonable price. There's a good range of drinks although our group would have liked more choice in IPA/bitter. If you haven't been recently it's well worth a visit but we recommend that you book as it's popular.

   What an awesome place to drink and dine. We had a superb time, the staff were great and friendly, and the decor was more like you are in Cambridge, not in a village. The rooms overlook the river and have a balcony and looks well maintained and felt like top notch rather. Absolute hidden gem ! We saw lot of reviewers saying the price is on the high side. well, you get what you pay for in my opinion. For the money you get a buckets loads more than the so called fancy places you find nearby.

   Food was a little too expensive, but pretty good. The meal was let down by the extremely slow service though, not helped by the fact that the majority of staff didn't appear to have a clue what they were doing.

   Absolutely fantastic. A little gem with a new lease of life. New ownership have made significant investment and does reflect well in the final product. Excellent breakfast this morning and stay. Very friendly staff. Don't listen to the nay sayers. Some people cannot be pleased no matter what! I will be visiting again and so should you all!

   Newly reopened under new management, very swish interior update and a 150% improvement on food, service and overall experience. A noticeable improvement at a great location myself and friends like to visit throughout the year. Will totally visit a lot more!

    Disappointed in the food, duck croqets were over cooked, the lamb koftas were dry and the beef bouginion was merely one piece of beef sitting in a juice, it clearly had not been cooked in the sauce but added onto the plate separately. This was our first visit back under the new management, I doubt we will be back. The staff did offer an alternative meal for the lamb koftas and he was very apologetic and didn’t charge us for that meal. The venue has been nicely decorated, unfortunately we had a very loud noisy group behind us and the acoustics was not good, so this also impacted on our experience.

    Much improved since the last time we went (before new ownership) food was of good quality as was service the only thing I would question was £18 for a burger
