The Chinese Library
It was my wife’s birthday and my whole family really enjoyed the food and environment. Will visit again soon
Gréât place - will be back. The food and service were fantastic.
Yummy food ! We all had had an enjoyable lunch at the Chinese Library .
Excellent service at atmosphere. The Taster Menu with the Peking Duck was outstanding.
The service was disappointedly slow both on serving a pre dinner drink and main course . Expected much better
This is my first time to the restaurant in the Chinese Library. I felt that it is good to try the vegetarian dishes here because of the service that replies to you like immediately.
Appreciated the whole experience! Looking forward to returning.
Overall atmosphere and decoration is great. The food looked nice but it taste below expectations. Especially the roast pig was tasted like rubber but it cost over $250, the price performance is super low.
Morden Chinese cuisine, nice ambience to chat. Went for my birthday they even did a dessert and printed a photo for me, nice touch.
Pathetic service. You will have to ask for your order at least 3 times before it comes to your table. Even when you tell them that you have already asked for your order thrice, they are not apologetic at all
Great food (Peking Duck), service at atmosphere. Highly recommend it for date night or a special occasion.
great environment, yummy food, only hope the serving speed can be a bit faster.
The food is excellent, the taste is surprisingly good. The only improvement would be the tables are set too close to each other, I can hear the whole conversations from the table behind clearly.
The service equals the food in quality and attention to detail. And, the value of the set lunch was exceptional. Will certainly return again and again.
this is my second time to the chinese library. their service and food quality maintain its highest level.
Food was mostly tasty but not all dishes were good. Service was mostly terrible and rushed. Table was not cleared every time they brought a new dish which was messy.
had a dim sum weekend brunch, excellent! a very nice ambience and service. will go back.
Nice food, nice staff, nice service. Good to celebrate anniversary or bday woth your bf/gf.
The music was too loud from the bar section and we could not enjoy our dinner properly
Good as always. 2 hours dining is a bit rush. It'd be better if it can extend to 2.5 hours.
Excellent food. Fish cooked 2 ways was outstanding, the spicy chicken was just delicious! Spicy enough but the spice didn't take away the refined taste of the Kung Po chicken!! Even the bok choi was to die for. Such a simple dish which the chef turned that vegetable dish to a delicacie with its clear soup! The fried rice was outstanding! Definitely a must visit place!
Lovely environment, brilliant dim sum, good value for money
great food, great service, great environment! All you need for a great brunch! Kids friendly!try it out now!!!!!!!!!
Sichuan style dishes are very nice, especially the Pickled fish.
hopefully the fixed price to order all dim sum will come back to the weekdays too:)
Personally, the vegetarian options were lacking quite a bit. I really was keen to eat the truffle dumplings which your website states (even now) that it is vegetarian - but then when I got there, I was disappointed to find that it in fact is not vegetarian. So there's only four vegetarian options, but the 'vegetables' is just one vegetable which was cauliflower. At least a kind of mixed veggies should be the minimum standard, nobody goes to a premium restaurant to eat cauliflower - which severely lacked flavour and looked unappetising to begin with.
I think a proper vegetarian main dish was also lacking. I just had to constantly eat the appetisers as there was nothing substantial. I'm sure vegetarian options are quite in demand so a well renowned chef should have no problem in catering to that. Additionally, I don't understand why my dietary preferences were asked upon booking as there was no vegetarian friendly main dishes. So if my friends are vegetarians or vegans, I would not recommend this restaurant. There are many vegetarian friendly Chinese restaurants in Hong Kong, especially in that area.
Awesome! I think there’s too much food, it’s good we can take away but the amount of dishes can be adjusted! Thank you!!
Delicious combination of western and Chinese dishes over the New Year. Beautiful presentation, fantastic service and gorgeous ambiance. We had a wonderful time celebrating 2021
Could add more variety of dim sums. The overall quality is very good.
The Dim Sum brunch was average and relatively more expensive than other restaurants of its vintage. Ambience and service was excellent though.
Food is great but the service is unexpectedly bad.
The foods and services are excellent. The ambience is nice too.
Food in overall was really good, but we asked one of the waiter to take a photo but he was not good at it
The food is delicate and the service is good! Would be nice to have a drink at the balcony before dinner.
great service and awesome food, valuable for weekend dim sum buffet!! Must visit again.
Food was mostly delicious. Service was good. Nice place for celebration of event.
HORRIBLE service - that really dampens the experience
Nice setup and food, would be even better to have more variety
Good food and ambiance xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
