   Decided to eat here as part of Downtown Dining Week. We had the $35 menu as we liked those choices and we were not wrong. Who knew that a cold green bean salad would taste as delicious when marinated in, amongst other flavours, horseradish? Service was excellent, no long waits between courses, server was very attentive. We will eat here again.

    Went here for dinner, drinks and dancing. The drinks and food were quite good - we ordered the Poblano Perogies, Pad Thai Fries (both of which were absolutely delicious) - we also ordered Whiskey Smash, Beastly, Pimm's Cup, It Wasn't Me, Sazeracocoa, Serenity Now, Frosted Cosmo, and 2 draught beers - each drink was well made and balanced perfectly. Our server was a young Caucasian girl who wore glasses, she was super nice, helpful, insightful, and checked on us frequently. The bar had a nice ambiance, and the fact that there's no seating time limit is even nicer. The dj started around 930, and dancing started shortly after. The music wasn't really to our taste, so we danced for a little while, grabbed some drinks, and then left. Would definitely recommend this place if you want some good food, and drinks.

    Great place to run into old friends after the lock down. Food is always good. Service is authentic and consistently good. Music and dance floor are great. Accomidated our group easily. Love the Common.

    I've been going to the common for years, it used to be a great dance club with alright food. One plus of the Covid issue, it has forced a slight change in how the establishment is run. Its turned into a really nice lounge with great atmosphere and solid music and the food quality has increased substantially. The food is well prepared and imaginative, its a great place to go for dinner. Now waiting for the dance floor again 😁

    Such a nice place to eat! Food was delicious and served hot with little wait time. The staff were all amazing, tentative to their tables and a joy to talk with. I love this restaurant!

    We tried a variety of menu items, all were very tasty! My favourites were the grilled cheese and feature pumpkin soup, a perfect pair on a winter evening, then we had the chocolate and peanut butter dessert, it was heaven! The London Fog the Bounty Hunter and Frosted Cosmo were also two yummy cocktails I tried, we had a full table of all the good stuff. Kelsey served us, she was lovely as ever and helped make our night awesome. The ambiance and music were perfect, made for a really fun and romantic date night. Can’t wait to go back!

    This was our first visit. We showed up very early for our reservation so we sat at the bar and enjoyed a cocktail and some appies. When our table was ready we moved over and enjoyed a lovely dinner. Pub style food but a different spin than usual and very tasty. We had the green bean appie (served cold which surprised us) which was very tasty along with the chilli chicken...both generous sizes for appetizers. Hubby had the pork schnitzel sandwich with fries. He enjoyed both and commented that the gravy for the fries was some of the best he's had...very herbaceous. I had the fish and chips. The fish wasn't overly battered and the tartar sauce was yummy. We finished off with the sticky toffee pudding which was delicious. The staff were friendly and very attentive.

    Batter on the fish was too thick. Tartar sauce was runny. Coleslaw was not vinegary enough. Service great as always.

    We enjoyed our evening at The Common. Our waiter was efficient and friendly, the shared appetizers were tasty, the background music was appropriate, and the Happy Hour pricing was much appreciated. I will be recommending The Common to my friends.
