   I would have given The Granary Square Brassarie a higher score but the ambience was sadly lacking in our experience. Only the ministrations of the charming Manager kept us feeling part of the action as we were given a table in the “private room”. located off the main dining space. Arrived a few minutes before our booking and were told to wait in the bar as the party had just left our table and it was being prepared for us. Had to stand around the crowded area whilst the waiting staff tried to move past us! Eventually we were shown to the private room where all the tables were prepared. Nobody else was shown in. I cannot believe the statement that our table had just been vacated was actually fact but fiction. No other diners ever joined us and we felt a little apart from the hurly burly emanating from the main dining room I think the Manager was great. He engaged us in conversation and we appreciated that. I think he was mindful that we had been palmed off with a table in “Siberia”. Anyway we had a nice meal But I do not think I would return again when there are other good restaurants in Kings Cross, but they have a great asset in their Manager and should look after him!

    Great evening but noise levels and music was a bit loud. Also sitting by the door there was a bit of a cold draught at times. Overall though lovely evening and great food.

    The food is always fresh and good, the service at times is a bit excessive, bringing the main course to the table before I have finished my starter isn’t the best ! .

    Warm and welcoming. Tables a bit crammed in and very noisy in the ventre of the restaurant. We had breakfast and weren’t allowed to book window tables as they were reserved for lunch guests. At the upper end of cost for breakfast- side order of bacon was £4 which was pretty pricey. Overall though ir was pretty good.

    lovely bar but no draught beer availabe, food good but service was a bit hit and miss, £47 for a bottle of albarino,come on!

    We booked a table for 19:30h when we arrived the table wasn't ready, so we had a drink at the bar. Good vibes, nice barmen, all quite fan, just a little too long. We finally got to the table at 20:30h and were asked if we fancied another drink. The worse part was the table wasn't big enough, at a push it might do for two people, but not three. Our water glasses were taken away as the food arrived (with water we had paid for) and so was the little dish with olives which we hadn't finished (4 olives for £4 and they took it before I could take the last one). Although we were very uncomfortable, Alessandro, the Italian waiter, was very nice and friendly but the rest of the service was very disappointing. To finish on a positive note, my fish curry was very tasty

    We enjoyed our visit as always staff helpful polite as usual, food excellent as always, but one thing spoilt it. We was seated by the doors where staff and diners come in and out from outside, so every time someone went in and out we got a cold blast. It was a cold wind outside so got a cold draught every time which made it uncomeatable. Food gets cold and so do we, I think a screen would help stop this. So this was the only down side to our visit

    Really not good. We booked booked at short notice on Mother’s Day so it was understandable that they were busy but they shouldn’t take more bookings than they can cope with. Our starters of arancini and tempura squid were both very nice but it went a bit wrong with the mains. We probably waited for around 25 mins after the starters which was fine, but my sirloin steak that was I asked to be medium rare was definitely well done. I sent it back, but the replacement was raw and still cold in the middle. Sent back for a third time and what came was medium-well done at best. I was just too hungry to try a fourth time so just ate it. The problem as I could see it was that the kitchen just couldn’t cope with the number of covers they had booked. There also seems to be a real imbalance between the number of waiting staff with those in various different levels of management. In our section, I saw our waitress (who was working her socks off) and three hostesses who didn’t seem to be doing much at all. Lovely room, but a restaurant should also be about good food and a nice experience. Unfortunately, we didn’t manage to have that today.

    Restaurant seemed to have taken too many bookings on Mother’s Day. We were seated 30 minutes later than our reservation. Service was slow and given my sister was booked on a train later that evening we only had time to order a main course. Food was ok and our server apologetic but felt the experience was poor value. This was my third visit and I very much doubt I’d book again.

    Another lovely visit for Mother’s Day. Great selection of food on the menu. Our waiter was charming and engaging and saw to us in good time despite it being super busy. Really nice touch to give each mum a little bunch of flowers on arrival. We will be back again.

    sat outside, even with a booking they didn't seat us under a heater. massive puddle on the floor by our table. dirty table, dirty and wet cushions. had to ask staff to take finished drinks and plates consistently.

    I was taken here for Mothers Day, it was quite chaotic and they seemed understaffed. We had to ask several times before someone took our order, when it arrived it wasn't right, which is difficult when you have a toddler with you! Also the bill wasn't correct when it arrived.

    A couple of my guests thought it was too noisy. One said his fish was oily, one said he didn't want a burger especially at that price. Waiter excellent, welcome excellent, location superb and the restaurant is very pretty.

    Service was poor as staff were very hard to get hold off. Most of the food was good but the pastries were very dry and the pancakes were cold and stodgy. We gave up trying to get hold of the staff to tell them. Loved the veggie breakfast though!

    The waitress Rahina was really excellent, charming and attentive. We were a party of 6 who chose the 2/3 course menu which was very good. But two of the group chose the burger from the main menu which was plentiful but over-cooked. We very much enjoyed our visit and will certain return

    service was very good though they were just a little slow in coming back with water and ketchup/mayo when asked. Very good atmosphere and the noise level was acceptable to me - and as someone with tinnitus etc that's important. Food was very nicely cooked and presented.

    I sat for thirty minutes, until my friend arrived, before I was approached to order anything. I presume the waiting staff assumed I wanted to wait until my friend arrived however I would have rather order a drink while I waited. Getting their attention was quite difficult so I gave up and just waited. Food was delicious and subsequent service was prompt. Staff were lovely. Would still go back.

    The service was terrible. After being seated waited twenty minutes to recieve a veggie menu. Waiter was confused alot and kept trying to talk to the guy at the table even though I was making eye contact and trying to order. Forgot drink two times. Bar staff was awesome friendly and fun.
