   Upon arrival we were greeted and told there were no outside seats available however, the group behind us was given an ‘inside or outside’ option. We were told they reserved an outside table despite us over hearing that they had no reservation which we did. Our server was not knowledgeable about the details of items on the menu after she ignored us for 10 minutes. They offered us dessert as an apology. The food was subpar, the fries were cold.    The steak was absolutely delicious; I had the Petit Filet Mignon and it was incredibly tender. Seriously, the thing cut like a brisket. The fries were less good, especially for the price. They were fine, but I would have preferred something a little more, such as a thicker cut or truffle oil or something like that. Still, nothing to fuss over. My waiter was very nice and attentive, and had a more casual, reserved personality that was a breath of fresh air in the city.

   Loved the place and the food we got for our money. Only complaint is I wish food between apps and main were better timed. Our meal came out before we have to finish our apps and we were already eating fast because how good it tasted.

   Just overall unimpressed. Service was seriously lacking. We did the mixed grill combo for the whole table (appetizer, entree, and dessert) and we added on a couple apps with it. The table was overloaded with items that we assumed would come in waves. The server was MIA the majority of the meal. When we received our entrees that included steak, salad, and what was supposed to be a sauce for the steak (chimchurri and Bernaise). We asked where the sauces were and he pointed at the balsamic vinaigrette, and stated that they were the sauces. I lifted it up and showed him, and he doubled down that two small ramekins of black thin sauce were each a bernaise and a chimchirri. Laughable. We did just that, and let it go. Then we waited about 45 min from the time we were done eating until we flagged down the server for dessert (included in the combo) and he returned with menus. We reminded him we got the mixed grill and he collected them, brought our desserts and was again MIA. We flagged him down later for the check and left. Gratuity is included on the check, which was hefty, and just in general not adding up to the quality of the food/service. The drinks were creative and tasty. The appetizers were the same. The steak was cooked per order but brought to us pretty cold- as was the majority of the entree. The dessert was the best part of the meal— pineapple upside down cake— it was warm vanilla cake with lots of pineapple/Carmel and topped with whipped cream. I would consider returning for drinks and apps but that’s probably it. Wouldn’t recommend for special occasions or date nights.

    Dressed up expecting everyone else to be dressed up but there were people with swim trunks and t-shirts sitting next to us. Ordered at $60 ribeye that looked like it came from a grocery store and the waiter had no knowledge of the menu

    Overall a decent experience but items on the menu were overpriced compared to other restaurants at The Wharf. We did feel rushed at some points of the meal. Ordered the calamari, crab cake, side of the macaroni and cheese, and the burger. Everything tasted good but our eyes were bigger than our stomach.

    I went here with a party of 3 on a Friday. I was the first to arrive and the hostess said she would seat me when my party arrived. However, when another member of my party arrived (10 mins later)they still wouldn’t seat us. They said your table will be ready in a few mins and asked when the last person would be arriving, but no where online or in the restaurant does it state that all members of the party need to be present before you are seated. We continued to wait while other people came in reservation or not and were seated right away. I believe they even went ahead and gave our table away. After waiting at least 20 mins after the second person came in, I went to the desk and told them we had other plans for the evening and would appreciate being seated regardless of the other person being present or not. I also stated that the rule they were trying to implement was not even posted anywhere. After saying that, they then proceeded to seat us. I don’t understand why I even had to go through that in the first place. If you want to make a rule, post like you do about the 20% service charge. You make sure that’s posted for everyone to see. Outside of this interaction with the staff, our waitress was pleasant and the food was good ( minus the mussels that were mushy).

    An unexpectedly fantastic meal on a busy weekend in Washington, DC. Our family was down by the District Wharf area and decided to pop in for a hasty lunch. The service was very good, especially considering how busy it was. The food was top-notch, and the show's star had to be my wife's salmon, which was just perfect. We also had the cocktail shrimp appetizer, which was also spectacular. Overall, a very quiet oasis in a very, very busy place that had wonderful food and service.

    Very enjoyable meal. The hostess asked us if we wanted to sit outside even though our reservation was for inside. Happily, We sat outside on a lovely evening. It was actually a little chilly and we wished they had heaters throughout the outdoor space. Our waiter was very attentive and explained the menu. The calamari was well received by table. I enjoyed the branzino with chimichuri sauce and creamed spinach. Reports were also positive for the sea bass, scallops and the crab cakes. Nice chocolate cake for dessert.     Our server was very attentive and very knowledgeable. This was our first time here and definitely not our last. For starters, we ordered the ground lamb skewers, which were just the right portion size and quite tasty with a creamy tzatziki sauce. We also ordered Scallops and grilled chicken with two sides. Everything was cooked perfectly. We sat outside and had a nice view of the marina and the weather was perfect with a nice breeze.

    We ordered an appetizer that once brought to us, by a runner (not our waiter), was slammed down on our table and left with a sharp attitude; apparently we did not move our utensils and drinks out of the way quickly enough. However we *were* moving them. We voiced the issue to the manager on duty, and made sure he knew that we weren't looking for compensation, only awareness, and acknowledgment that it happened and shouldn't happen to any others. Throughout the evening we had several occurrences of generally disgruntled attitudes, from staff. It became obvious that any awareness that we hoped to nurture through that conversation management, would be hard gained. It's likely a deep cultural issue at the restaurant and I will not return.

    Mackenzie was wonderful! So friendly and very prepared to explain the specials. From the moment we stepped in until the moment we left we received exemplary customer service. The food was delicious and just the right portion size. Except for the butter for the bread. It was way too much, I hate to see waste so a 1/4 cup of whipped butter for two people is a bit unnecessary.

    Very tasty food and excellent service. All the Bites was a great hit, as were many dishes such as branzino, filet, and the vegetable choices. We were a large party of 17 and were told we could not be accommodated all together. We ended up in the same room, contiguous and a few feet apart, at three tables (6+6+5). I suppose it was easier for the staff to serve 3 distinct tables in stead of one large one and we were easily able to move between tables to visit and chats between courses. Everything was fresh, hot, and well prepared and the staff well trained. We would definitely return.

    Excellent service and food. The Host with the Beautiful, Bronze natural mohawk haircut was awesome and so personable. Very friendly and helpful. I wish I had gotten her name! My husband surprised me for my 53rd Birthday. Great ambiance and view. Right on the water. We ordered Half Chicken, BBO Ribs, Spiced Creamed Spinach, Grilled Sweet Potato and Grilled Pineapple Upside Down Cake. The Spiced Creamed Spinach is to die for!!! Yummy,yummy for your tummy!! The Ribs fall of the bone. The sauce on the ribs can be revamped. Wasn't really a fan of the sauce on the ribs. My preference is more of a North Carolina style BBQ. This is more mesquite tomatoey taste sauce. Still good, but, not the taste I was expecting. However, I look forward to returning.

    3 meals came out at incorrect temperatures. it was my birthday and i was given a pineapple cake complimentary but i have an allergy. the manager was lacking as far as compassion and help. she looked at my boyfriend as if he was crazy for ordering a medium well steak which had to be sent back three times!!! my friend who joined us for dinner was given a blue rare steak with the request of medium. calamari was atrocious and that was kept on our bill as well. a free cake that was never requested or talked about with the table does not make up for poor food quality. the only enjoyable part of the meal was my own which thankfully i didnt have a poor experience on my birthday in totality but i’ve had better meals elsewhere unfortunately. i myself am in service industry being a bartender at the four seasons and my two accompanying guests work in country clubs. the entirety was lackluster at best. i’ve had decent experiences at this restaurant but not this occasion. may never return
