This was our first experience at Hero Kitchen. The restaurant decor was very cool with beautiful crystal chandeliers in bar and main dining area.
The service was great. Very prompt and professional
We enjoyed the halibut with poached egg, pork chop which was cooked with apricot glaze, baby back ribs with superb onion rings and scallops that melted in your mouth!
The octopus salad was absolutely awesome.
Of course had to end meal dessert- bread pudding so yummy
Can’t wait to go back

My family is tickled to have Hero Ranch Kitchen just down the hill from our home. We are all very impressed with the quality of the food. We have two carnivores, and two vegetarians in our household, and the chef has managed to please all of us. My son, one of the carnivores, has gluten, and dairy issues (I know, what a nightmare) and the staff was aware of, and sensitive to his needs as well.
The inside dining is very nicely decorated with a modern-ish, ranch-ish, atmosphere. It is very noisy.
Overall, I would recommend Hero Ranch Kitchen to anyone who loves a great dining experience.

Sitting in the “wine cellar” room next to a table with an infant and toddler was not the dinner ambiance I was expecting.

Marginal experience. Restaurant opens at 5 and we had a 5:15 reservation for which we had to confirm with a credit card with a24 hour cancellation policy. When we arrived the restaurant was jammed, all in15 minutes. We received a crappy table and crappy service, which only makes sense since we were behind the rush.
If you take cc for reservations, really take reservations at all, commit to the process.

Great food and a welcoming, friendly atmosphere. The jicama/avocado appetizer was delicious (the crumbled corn nuts and aioli added just the right amount of taste, crunch and spice. I had the porkchop (huge and delicious. The ahi tower was very tasty, but a bit too spicy for my wife's liking. Definitely will come back again for more!

Our second dinner at The Hero Ranch Kitchen was as nice as our first visit.
The menu offers a good assortment of plates to share as well as a varied selection of entrees.
There is something to entice every taste. We choose the Black Truffle Filet with Irish white cheddar
scalloped potatoes and the Pan Seared Halibut with sautéed spinach and poached egg. The staff
kindly allowed my request for the scalloped potatoes to be a substitute for the standard potato mash.
Both were perfectly cooked and well seasoned. BTW, the Scalloped potatoes are well worth the calories.
We plan to return soon to try out the delicious looking selection of shared plates. The Australian Grass Fed Lamb Chops and the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sliders really caught our eye as they were served to other guests. The only negative about the venue is that it is difficult to hear in the din of the small space.
Guests with a walker or wheelchair can be accommodated, but it is a tight squeeze between tables. A comfortable walk down the streets of town revealed that The Hero is currently the main attraction for dining. It was packed while all the other restaurants seemed to be lacking patrons.

Loved the food and ambience with nice outdoor seating option. Only complaint was that I thought the lights were too bright. Like the dimmer dining atmosphere.

My husband and I visited HERO Ranch Kitchen for the first time recently and chose to sit at the bar. We were impressed to see a line at the front door as we approached the restaurant for their 5:00 opening time. We ordered two cocktails each and split a few of the starters and salads. Everything was really top notch. The cocktails were inventive and well executed. Our favorite bites were the Mexican corn cojita starter and the octopus salad.
Truffle fries were just okay - a little too firm and not the crispy exterior/soft interior we look for. Obviously a one-dip fryer method rather than the more elegant execution of par-frying initially and then finishing a second time.
My husband liked the carnitas lettuce cups but I thought the meat could have used more flavor.

Drinks and appetizers were very good. I had the pork chop as an entree. It was so overly salted I couldn’t taste anything else. Other entrees in my party we’re good. It was a little off putting to have an enjoyable experience blemished by too much salt. We’ll give it another chance as my wife liked everything else.

We had a wonderful meal at Hero Ranch kitchen. The food was fabulous, ambience very warm and inviting, albeit the noise level was pretty high, (not more so than many of the current restaurants.) There were really only two negatives, 1. We couldn't figure out why we were unable to get a table between 5:00 and 8:00 until the host explained to us that there are really only two seatings a night. (That should be on the website,) and 2. we had reservations for 8:00 pm, and were not seated until closer to 8:30 because there were no tables available--made me wonder why, if people had been seated at 5:00. Other than that, we loved the food, and appreciated the reasonable prices on wine and "no corkage fee." We will definitely return, probably when the weather is warmer and we can take advantage of their lovely patio seating.

Wow! What a great addition to Saratoga! Our server, Amy, was very personable, had great recommendations and was very pleasant and attentive. Food was delicious - lots of interesting menu items to choose from. Our favorite things were the Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sliders, Tempura Green Beans and the Brussel, Bacon and Candied Pecan Salad. We will definitely be back!

We went to celebrate our son’s acceptance into school. Beautiful restaurant but it is small and therefore noisy. The menu is great with excellent selections. Cocktails were really good. Ordered the Mexican corn appetizer (yummy) and shrimp - both good portions and tasty. Our appetizers came before our cocktails but the hostess apologized as our waiter was training. He was very attentive so no complaints about service.
My son had the rib eye and it was perfectly done. I ordered the scallops which were very good, perfectly prepared but I think they could pair them better than with celery purée which lacked any taste. My husband ordered the pork chop which was huge and looked amazing but it was dry - super disappointing. Overall it was good but didn’t live up to the hype. For 3 people the bill came to $200+

We were so excited to go there due to so many high reviews from friends. We were soon disappointed. Service started out good, but then trailed off to nothing. The big issue was the food. There was so much sauce on the corn you couldn't find the corn. Worst Caesar I have ever had...Again way too much dressing and too much fat and cheese. The steak was so salty you couldn't eat it. The potatoes were OK...just cut from a big pan no doubt...nothing special. My husband had the bread pudding which they recommended and he said it really was a cupcake. Just to note, I am NOT one to write a negative review...this is rare!!! I don't think our expectations were too high as we love great food...Nicks, Wine Cellar etc. but Hero Ranch truly disappointed.

Food is excellent, love the shareable plates and the steak entrees. Drinks are great, as well. Space is a bit tight so you sometimes feel a little too close to your neighbors, but not a big enough buzzkill to not recommend. Check this place out, the food is amazing!
