   I was a little disappointed with the greeting at the ivy due to arriving 10 minutes early , I didn’t find the front of house staff very welcoming. We were then seated at the bar , very busy atmosphere but staff inside were very attentive, polite and then took us to be seated for the champagne afternoon tea. The afternoon tea was presented beautifully but some of the sandwiches unfortunately the bread had gone slightly crunchy which again was a little disappointing. My mum was presented with a surprise little Birthday cake which was absolutely charming and again the staff inside were very attentive and happy . Overall - it was a nice experience.

   Really great service for celebration afternoon tea, busy but relaxed atmosphere. Beautifully prepared food. Just one thing: balance of tea treats could have had a bit more savoury in mix / perhaps less white flour items. But sweets all really good and lovely scones. This Ivy always great, thank you

   Great atmosphere and place to go for a dinner that you can linger late into the evening over. However, the service and food were just average which is a shame as otherwise I'd come back again and agin.

   Poor service on arrival and part of the food being cold left us with a bad feeling. We've been very good customers of the Ivy group for years, initially in London and then in various cities, particularly our home town of Cambridge since it opened including using private dining. I asked for a larger table as I dislike it when restaurants pack too many in with tiny tables. On arrival, the lady said most of the restaurant wouldn't be open so we had one option, a tiny table or nothing. Another table was there but seated five so she simply said 'no' when we asked if there was a chance of using that if we ordered more. Then food arrived and part was very cold. I complained and the server replaced that element but it all appeared quite sloppy. Standards are not what they use to be. We'll not return to the Ivy Cambridge due to this and will revert back to the London branches who seem to care more.

    Lovely brunch with my husband. As a newly diagnosed celiac person, the staff was wonderful in guiding me through my options and the chef even accommodated me with a simple twist to make one of my favorites, the duck salad, non-gluten for me.

    The Ivy in Cambridge is a delightful restaurant serving excellent food & drink by very pleasant staff. The only drawback is the price which is a little on the expensive side. I was also there on Mother's Day - a busy day no doubt, and I felt rushed.

    We went to celebrate a significant event. We felt that the whole experience was rushed, from our orders being taken, to being moved off our table for the next sitting - I do appreciate that there is an allocated slot but my opinion is that this does not support a relaxing or enjoyable evening. The staff, tho many of them, did not seem knowledgeable eg about menu options or about drinks choices and pairing. There was a frantic atmosphere. So many people were involved in our service that there wasn’t an overall sense of consistency other than our food server. He was trying his best but gave a rushed impression. The best part was the food which other than not being of optimal temperature in my opinion was interesting and tasty.

    A warm and friendly welcome at reception, which continued through with our waiter who was extremely knowledgable about the menu and ingredients as well as having the perfect balance of attentiveness. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced… all of which exceeded our expectations, would highly recommend and will most definitely be returning very soon.

    Enjoyed our meal at Ivy. Dishes were served promptly and the food is great quality. The only downside, that our cocktails arrived together with main course, after we had finished starters.

    Coincidently we visited Ivy @ Cambridge just a few days after Ivy @ Kensington. Cambridge is considerably better in terms of service and "care". The staff worked very well as a team and it was altogether more "at ease". Totally reccomend

    We always know that we are going to get a good meal when we visit The Ivy. There are a number of menus available to suit all diets and the host/hostess always checks for any allergies the diners have. The scallop dish I had was on the expensive side for the size of the scallops although they were perfectly cooked. Some items are becoming a little pricey for what they are e.g. the Parmesan and truffle chips and the house champagne.

    Was for my husband’s birthday which we advised you of but nobody even wished him a happy birthday let alone give him anything. We both had steak and was disappointed to hear it did not come with anything at all and you had to order chips and vegetables as extra so my £34.95 rib eye steak actually came to £43 which chips and vegetables which is too high. We also ordered bread which was lovely and hot but still frozen in the middle.

    Food is good, but the steaks are overpriced. They are also not very big The 8oz Sirloin is about £28. Which would be fine.. if it came with chips and a side. It comes with nothing. A Sirloin with frites and a side is near enough £40. Fish and chips however is £17 including chips and s side which is a bit more realistic. Other prices aren’t too bad, but don’t expect much change from £10 for any dessert. Oh - and add 12.5% service. Which is fine in itself but on top of inflated steak prices…

    Was disappointed with my visit to The Ivy last week. It was a special occasion, and we were looking forward to it but was let down but the missing courses and drinks. We chose two different fish dishes only to be told they was no fish, no house wine or other option my wife wanted plus a beer I wanted was not available either. The food was very nice but not worth the standard going rate these days for a 3-course meal. Will not rush back.
