The Lobster Club
Excellent on all fronts.
Great Japanese restaurant
Great place to meet for business breakfast - Very attentive service
Want a Michelin quality lunch in NYC? This is your place. We seriously could not stay on the reservation and tried just about everything. All of the appetizers are amazing but the sushi, man it is fresh and delicious. This go around we did TEPPANYAKI with NY Strip and it was fabulous. I will say the previous time that I had this dish, I went with the Tomahawk Ribeye with the Szechuan rub and it was out of this world, tough call. Our server was phenomenal, helpful and attentive. I really love this joint.
It was amazing the food was delicious the perfect place to celebrate my boyfriends birthday!
Another great meal. Food is consistently well prepared. Friendly servers.
Good for dates. Nice atmosphere, decent food, decent service
Love the vibe and the food. Don’t understand why there are so many haters. This place never meant to be an authentic sushi place. It’s fun food. Fun drinks. And the bartenders couldn’t have been more welcoming and accommodating. The wasabi lobster appetizer and any of the teppanyaki dishes (beef, lamb, scallops, or the gigantic prawn from Madagascar), along with the shrimp fried rice, are must!
It was my birthday and I really enjoyed the food, the wine and the service. The quality of the food is fantastic. I really enjoyed it b
Food, Service and experience were exceptional. Our server expertly assisted with the menu. I recommend ordering several appetizers and splitting an entree. The wasabi lobster might be the best thing I’ve ever eaten. Sushi and sashimi are top notch. My kids and I really enjoyed our experience.
Great lunch today. Nice waitstaff and same sommelier. Enjoyed the warm lobster appetizer (fried with peppers) and the wagyu steak and shrimp. Not cheap, but a tasty meal.
Sadly underwhelmed. Beautiful restaurant but menu is very limited and unimaginative. Bento box shrimp was engulfed in batter and dripping w frying oil. Chicken was undercooked and pink. Sushi rolls small. not at all impressed.
Whenever in NYC, a must for us. Love the atmosphere and staff there, from the time you walk down those stairs and you are greeted to the time you leave. Love the artwork, music, delicious food! And the lychee martinis! Excellent overall!!
It’s too great for just special occasion! It makes an occasion special
I was thrilled to experience the wonderful feel of a new twist on the old fashioned Nyc spots. The Lobster Club is glamorous, upscale and the crowd was respectful of the dress code that is missing in so many other restaurants!!!!
Beautiful venue with a definite vibe. The food is good to very good but be prepared to open up your wallet wide. This is not the place for you if you are paying, or if you're not willing to spend $300 for a bottle of wine. Still, if someone else is paying, you'll consider yourself lucky to be able to enjoy a fine steak and some decent appetizers with well healed people in a beautiful atmosphere.
Lobster Club has extraordinary sushi in a beautiful setting, and terrific service. The only drawback is the price, but for a special occasion it is definitely worth it. We will be back.
The staff was attentive and the food was delicious. Our server was particularly thoughtful in helping us celebrate our birthdays.
Had a fun dinner there but got drunk! The food is very slow to come out but the drinks flow too fast. Order early and don’t forget carbs...of which there really aren’t any!
Great great great!
I expected better. Sushi was only moderately good, not as good as most other places in Manhattan. Tables were nicely spaced, which should have made conversation easy, but the music (mostly classic R&B, with annoying over-beat added to it) was too loud. Worst of all was it was too cold, with A/C on high despite the already cold temperature. We had to wear scarves and jackets to stay comfortable. Couldn't wait to get in the car and warm up.
My family and I were there to celebrate my husband's birthday. It was a first time for all of us. We love eating out and do so often. Although the food was very good, the meal was VERY expensive with only 2 people having a cocktail. The service was superb, however, and the staff made my husband's birthday special for him for which I was very grateful!
All around great experience and excellent food
Great all around time !
Food was incredible. Wait was a bit atypical (around 40 mins with reservation). However, the hostess, gave us a complementary starter. HIGHLY recommend :)
The Lobster Club is our favorite lunch spot in NYC and we have been there now dozens of times! The oysters with cucumber and wasabi are incredible and the Bento Box lunch is fabulous!! I get the scallops and he gets the wagyu beef. It's perfection every time!! Go. Maybe we'll see you there!!
Nice place. Food wasnt bad but expensive for what you are getting.
One of the best places in NYC. Especially if you like to share small (and big) plates. The staff is outstanding and their are plenty of them.
Food was lovely but the most expensive meal of my life.... I was not prepared for how much it was going to be and the waitress didn’t tell us the prices on the wine.
Impeccable ....food, service, ambience
Service was slow , made us wait for an hour before seating us and then we had ordered food at the bar to be able to sit down and eat and it took another half an hour to get your food .
Service was beyond great. They could not do enough to make the dining experience fabulous
The ingredients are fresh.
Great service, food and ambiance albeit loud.
A very good though somewhat unusual rendition of Japanese food. The flavors we're excellent. Chic decor and music.
Superb presentation of delicious, expertly prepared chefs creations.
Excellent. Great staff. Meal was just right with every selection.
It was absolutely wonderful. I will go back as often as I can
Family friends in town
